Anyone heard of doing this or does this? I was surfing pinterest and something came up about work from home opportunities and this is something on there. I enjoy doing research for things and enjoyed my time working in a law firm. So this might be something I'd enjoy doing. Just wanted to see if any has had any experience with this.

Is there more of a description to the job than its title? Because I'm not sure how well you can research court records from home-- I'm not aware of any jurisdictions that have fully digitized their records, so I foresee a lot of driving to courthouses and sitting in their records rooms.
Unless a court records researcher is something totally different than I am envisioning.

No, I'd actually would need to go to the courthouses for the research. I just wouldn't have an office to report to and I'd make my own schedule (according to their website). I would choose which counties I'd want to service. It sounds like something I'd enjoy doing (I like that kind of stuff) but just wondering how legit it all is.

I've never heard of it before but if it sounds like a good fit for you, I would check into it further. I found some more info at this site just doing a quick Google search. Hope it helps and that it's a good start for you. I hope you find what you're looking for. Good luck!

I can attest to the fact that there are actually people who do this, but I don't know the details. You might check with a title company in your area. The title company/real estate attorney we use most often does have people on staff to do their research but they also frequently have to hire outside their firm for counties that are further away or when they simply don't have time in their schedule for their in-house researchers to be out of the office.

There were some of the companies that were listed on the site I originally looked at were on that list, so that seems like a good thing. I think I'll submit an application and see how it goes. I have 3 counties around me that would be easy to drive to. Save
