I like this, but I don't like the cream base.

I think it's kind of ugly. It's very masculine, which is nice, but I hate cream and because she believes cream goes with everything, that's what everything she makes will always be (the exception being a candy cane stripe paper in her Christmas line, because who the heck wants a cream candy cane?) and if the patterns blow me away, I deal with it. I really don't like what I see here at all...it 'feels' nothing like her other collections. Starshine knocked my socks off...guess it was a hard act to follow.

Yeah I am not crazy on the cream....I am sure I will buy some of the papers, but I won't be actively looking for this one based on these photos.

Ok, the more I look at this, the more it reminds me of old October Afternoon. I wonder if that was what she was going for?

I like a couple of the sheets: the city scape with that navy patterned back, and the clouds with airplanes.
The sticker sheet seems a little eclectic. Is every collection trying to be everything to everybody?

I like some of the papers but I agree with grammadee -what's with the eclectic stickers?

I'm not a fan of most of the papers, but most of the die cuts are cute.

Doesn't she often mix some papers with a cream base with others that are white? I think that's how Starshine is, anyway - many of the papers have a cream base, but at least some have bright white. ANyway, I'm THRILLED - I don't particularly like this at all! Which means I don't have to spend money I don't have!
And I'm still very well stocked with Starshine, which I do love.
That cityscape paper is appealing, but it wouldn't work for the kinds of things I do with patterned paper. It seems to fit into her aesthetic -- would have known it was Shimelle stuff in an instant. SOme of these papers seem very similar to stuff she's done before - just different colors. I don't mind that. I know some people do like the cream base, and the travel theme. I have recently discovered that I don't want to make cards with suitcases, mountains, or vehicles on them, so I can skip this one. I'm quite relieved.

So far, with the exception of the Autumnal lines (which almost always win me over and I feel no guilt in buying because it's the most used section of my entire craft room) I'm not dying to have much of anything that I've seen so far. Echo Park keeps killing me with their fall goodies...two years in a row. I'm nervous to see what SS has to bring to the table and if PP has a fall line this year and it's anything like last year, I'm going to be getting lots of new themed product and that's about it.

I guess I am one of the only ones who likes a cream base which might also be why I am such a massive October Afternoon fan girl. As I said somewhere recently, I find cream (as long as it isn't too dark) to be more flattering for a lot of photographs of humans. It has a warmth that I personally like. mom It is no secret that Shimelle has always been a big fan of October Afternoon and it is a pretty good guess that is the style she is going for. Starshine was a bit of a nod to Rocket Age and this new line has suggestions of OA as well...a little bit of Travel Girl, the city scapes of Holiday Style (but in an Autumn way instead of wintery Christmas) and the yellow tree from Farmhouse... I like this collection, but I tend to like most of what Shimelle does. Do I love it the way I love Starshine? Probably not, and I have a lot less use for travel themed items especially ones that seem to say Autumn in New York? I am sure i can find enough to use though! And I like this collection a heap more than Amy Tan's random food and zoo animals!

I love it - especially the city scenes. I like how she takes us out of the box others like to lump us into.

I'm in the minority here but I love this. I love the cream, I love the patterns...can't wait to see the rest of the collection. This is a definite buy for me.

I love what I see so far. Travel themes are my weakness (along with Halloween) and I love the autumn feel so the colours!

I can see buying a few of the sheets; I'm another fan of the cream based papers. It does give you an "OA" feel, big +. Original poster, thanks for showing us the sneak peek. Maria

I rather like this: it's DIFFERENT from other lines out there. I love white, I love watercolour, I love pink and aqua, but - well - I have that. Shimelle has often included houses in her ephemera/stickers - and I've never found a use for them!

More bicycles and sunglasses and houses and suitcases. Maybe I have all the supplies now and can just stop buying? Because nothing seems new and fresh anymore.

There are so many ephemera or sticker packs I don't buy because they are full of all those icons that I already have languishing in my stash or have already tossed because I know I have no use for them.

Very much referencing October Afternoon, although the cream doesn't look too dark on my computer at least.
I will probably get some of the papers, I can pass on those embellishments. Hopefully the stickers will be great!
