Do you and your s/o agree on politics?

My DH and I used to not agree on politics, but he has finally seen the light. HAHA. Actually, he has been a registered Republican for a long time and I have been a Democrat since I was old enough to vote. In local elections, we often vote for the same people, but when he did vote for President, we cancelled each other out. This year we are both voting for the same person. Donald Trump has finally done what my kids and I couldn't do for all these years; convince DH to switch parties.

It depends. DH is very Democrat, I'm an independent. If we're in agreement like we are this election, than yes. But in past elections when I've voted Republican we've canceled each other out.

I think I'm a little more radical than he is, but yes, we line up pretty perfectly in our political beliefs.

Pretty much though he is having a hard time grasping why I won't vote for Hilary (he thinks Trump makes her faults look mild; I'm not yet convinced). He travels around the word for business so he looks at things more globally while I often care just as much about local elections as national.

We have just had a federal election in Australia and I have no idea who my dh voted for! I am a swinging voter and sometimes we have voted for the same party and other different. It isn't something we discuss much.

NO!! we are completely opposite. We are also both pretty vocal about it. Our kids had a pretty interesting upbringing hearing all our political conversations. Youngest dd now goes to a very liberal, very poltically minded college in the TCs, and it's been interesting to hear how she is navigating everything also.

No, we don't! And it's starting to cause problems.

I keep quiet, but I don't know how much longer I can keep it up. 

Yes and no.

Generally we are on the same page. We do have some differences on social issues, but I won't discount his opinion because he has some life experiences that have formed those opinions. He lived in a Muslim country and had a fair amount of experience with radical Muslims (and yet his closest friend at work is Muslim, so it's not like he dislikes the religion, but he's much more prone to see radicalism than I am and I think that his opinion is valid because he has experienced it and I have not). He also has some religious biases that I don't have because he was brought up in a very religious family and I was not. In the end, it's really NOT how he feels, but it's his automatic first response just because of his upbringing.

Life is a lot better for both of us in the area of politics since he has stopped listening to talk radio during his commute time.

We pretty much agreed on politics, but he didn't like to talk about politics to any one at any time.

No way would he have posted a FB rant! No way, no how.

You both, plus anyone else this may apply to, have my sincere sympathy.

We are more or less aligned. We may have voted for different people in the primary, but I think we've always voted alike in the final presidential elections.

Of course. I would have never married someone politically opposite of me, it just would not have happened and we will both be volunteering this fall for HRC and the Iowa Democratic Party to GOTV!

We used to be opposite, but I think he has come around to see things differently though. Haha. We definitely don't agree on everything, but most big stuff, yes.

For the most part, we're on the same page when it comes to politics. We almost always seem to vote for different candidates in the primaries, but we almost always vote for the same candidates in the general election.
