If you know you are staying home all day and cleaning.. so you shower first?
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't... I hate wasting the time beforehand cause I get all dirty anyways, but then again I feel a little better when I do.. today was a non shower today and yet I haven't even started cleaning. hahaha

Nope. I feel like I get dirty as I clean. The shower will be the last item I clean and I'll do it while I shower.

I can't even start my day without a shower, so no. It would definitely be more practical, and I've tried to start cleaning before my shower, shampoo and shine but I just can't stand it and there I go. I don't do my hair though, I'll just slick it back in a pony. If I know I'm going out later, I wind up taking another shower. So impractical..but there you go.

I think I remember years ago I read on Fly Lady (I haven't followed here in years) but I think they recommended you shower before starting and dress like you were going to leave the house. I though, eh I am getting dirty and I don't want to go to all that trouble to clean up to clean house.

I usually do my deep cleaning on Sunday morning and I always do it in my pajamas while I drink coffee. Then I take a shower.

I will sometimes shower and wash my hair, then put a deep conditioner in it, dress in junk clothes and clean, letting the conditioner work while I clean. That's about the only way I can get in a couple of hours of a good conditioner on my hair. I also do a facial mask and let it soak in while I clean. If anyone ever came to the door, they would be horrified.

No. I prefer to do the housework in my housework clothes and then shower. Then I am clean and put on clean clothes. That works for me.

Nope. After. I sweat like a moose any time I even move a little so I clean till my hearts content, take a nice refreshing shower and probably a nap after.

When I am done cleaning I want to look sweaty, dirty, bedragled like I have traveled to hell and back on a three legged donkey.
Of course, there is never anyone here to see it. But I have hopes that one day someone will feel sorry for me for all I do.
Then I get cleaned up and probably have a nap.

I have never cleaned all day. Do people do this? I think the longest I have cleaned is maybe 2 hours. I have purged for longer than that, but no moving around much. If I am doing physical labor like painting- I don't shower.

I used to cook and toss some flour on my face like the women did for the rice krispie treat commercial. My husband wasn't buying it. I also used to put some Pine Sol in the kitchen sink and let it sit for a bit.

I usually shower at night, so no I don't shower before starting. If I spend most of the day cleaning, I do usually shower when done.

No. I save the water until I'm done. I have a tendency to get messy when I clean. Cleaners, water, dust bunnies, whatever, it ends up on me. I put coconut oil in my hair. Clip it up, smack a shower cap on, tie a bandana around that so the whole mess doesn't slip all over, and get to cleaning in ratty clothes. I shower when I'm done. I don't think I've spent a whole day cleaning my house, but a few hours if I'm getting into the nooks and crannies, get distracted by a cupboard that needs straightening, and stuff like that. If I'm light cleaning, then I'll shower first and throw an apron on to spare myself.

If I am blessed to have a whole day at home, I'm not about to spend it cleaning. 😀 Well that is my problem, I have ignored it until I can't take it. LOL... The dust alone is crazy... So I take down the dust collector and let dry, get up on the bed and wipe down frames (all which have been ignored way to long)... stuff like that. I have had other days at home and didn't clean and watched my TV or whatever... but holy hell I gotta do some cleaning... lol
