Dh was playing with the dog by having her (black lab) sit and tossing treats to her. One went under the TV cabinet and she couldn't get it. Hours later she was still whining because she couldn't get her treat. I looked under theTV and it must be pretty far back because I didn't see it. So I went and snuck another treat and pretended to "find" the lost treat. She is now happily laying at my feet.

I'm glad she fell for it, but also a little surprised-- can't she still smell the missing one? LOL!

Pull a quarter out of her ear, she'll crap herself!

We've done that with our dog when a treat rolls under the stove.

That doesn't work on pugs! Well, not my old girl, anyway. She'd take the treat, but she'd be right back worrying that spot... smell is the only sense that's still working perfectly these days.

This is a good one.
Sometimes at the dog park things might start getting tense between a couple of dogs. That's when you yell your dog's name and "look!" while facing away from the group. They know from the tone that it's usually something good, so they stop and search for the good thing. Focus is broken and things are good.
We try not to do that too much, but so far it's good.
