I love Joe Biden. He was actually my first choice for president in '08, before I ended up voting for Hillary in the primary. And once again, he has knocked it out of the ballpark.

I'm not a fan of Bloomberg poltically. I would have thought you'd like him. He's pretty middle-of-the-road.

Just random musings, and there is no way to know, but I wonder if Trump would have gotten the nomination if Biden had run and been the presumptive nominee instead of Hillary. Wow. Interesting thought for sure freecharlie.

I'm not a fan of Bloomberg poltically. I don't like him but he is making some great points... particularly calling out the hypocrisy.

Gabby Giffords was lovely. She made me smile! What an inspiration she is.
Joe Biden's speech was effective and I think he is one of the most compassionate politicians we have ever been gifted in this country. Not perfect, no. But his level of empathy means he's going to care about the things I care about.
The chanting over the speakers was making me want to jump out of my skin.

I just tuned in, I've got the earlier portions recorded. Currently a bunch of stars are singing What the World Needs Now. My questions is, couldn't they have gotten more microphones so people weren't ripping it out of the person's before them hands? That was amusing, though.

"Risky, reckless and radical."
"Let's elect a sane, competent person."
Heh. And so deadpan.

I'm not a fan of Bloomberg poltically. I would have thought you'd like him. He's pretty middle-of-the-road. I didn't like the ban on big sodas. I didn't like that I couldn't get a big soda at the theatre because I can't make the decision about what goes in my body, BUT it was okay if I bought the same sized soda at 7-11 I don't want to know how many calories are in my order of chicken wings. I know they aren't healthy. Knowing that they are 1200 calories for 6 of them is not going to keep me from ordering them I didn't like his nanny state I am more for the government getting out of personal decisions.

Some of the speakers tonight made me so emotional talking about gun violence. I am angry with MSNBC for cutting off the rear admiral for Brian Willams to show the President getting on his plane and then cutting to Chris Matthews and Jerry Brown. Disrespectful to all of us because I was listening to the speaker. I wish Hilary could do something about gun control, especially assault weapons. I think background checks are ineffective but assault weapons? To me anyone who wants one automatically is too dangerous to have one. Watching this convention of 'my people,' I see the chasm of society like I have never seen so clearly. None of the RNC speakers spoke for me. All of the DNC speakers speak for me. Because of that, I don't see any bridge that can reach across. I don't want what is on the other side. You don't need those stupid commentators. I'm watching here online without commentators.

Gah. Sometimes I feel like an old fogey. I didn't like the debt thing-no need for vulgarities to make a point.
But I do like the "Fight Song" (or whatever it is called.)
Joe Biden, it is such a goof ball. Kind of like that really smart uncle who after a beer or two starts telling the stories and waving his arms saying 'no no no, listen now, this is how it really happened...' but would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Bloomberg. He had some things to say that made a lot of sense.

I'm excited about Tim Kaine..... He went to the "boys" high school to my girls high school. We are about 6 years apart but I know a ton of people who knew him both then and more recently in Richmond VA!

I am excited to hear from Kaine, I don't know a whole lot about him. This introductory video is nice. So many of these people have a backstory I have no idea about

For some reason his eye brows are distracting to me. I am going to look below his eyes or at my computer screen so that I don't go off on some random tangent.
