Do you wonder if Obama is thinking, Thank God it is almost over? It might be nice not to be in the public eye 24/7? He looks full of pride and emotion right now. I may not agree with him all the time, but I love listening to him speak. That's what I was just talking with DH about. All these folks who are going on about how he wants to abolish term limits and make himself dictator are bananas. He's got to want to be done. I love this President. And his not-aged-a-day wife. They're just awesome people.

I've never voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate (I don't think?), but I've really enjoyed some of the speeches tonight - I started watching with Jill Biden I think. I really liked Bloomberg, Biden and Kaine.
I don't know what I'm doing in November, other than not voting for Trump. So I'm a free agent I guess. Which bothers me, but it is what it is.

HA! Did we just see a "That's what I'm talking about!" from Bill!? Seriously, how can you not enjoy Bill Clinton when you see him in action? He and Joe Biden have that same vibe - actually, so does the president - like they enjoy every room they walk into, whether it's a convention floor or a living room. I think he is the absolutely perfect candidate for the first First Gentleman. Another man might feel awkward inaugurating the role, but he's going to revel in it. Tangent: Anybody else notice how the president never looks at the middle TelePrompter? I think it's effective; that way the TV audience doesn't see him reading. (Bill, on the other hand, speaks without reading for so long and then does an obvious check-in with the middle TelePrompter.)

Someone I follow on Twitter -- Diana Butler Bass, an author and theologian -- just said that this whole evening is plagiarizing the bible with all its talk of faith, hope, and love. hahahaha I love Diana Butler Bass's books, and I'm loving the speeches this evening. And I love President Obama, and Michelle Obama. I loved Joe Biden's comment that he and President Obama had been talking about which one of them was going to give the best speech tonight, then they realized that had already been given by Michelle. lol

I keep trying to type up a summary of my feelings about tonight but I keep fumbling. I'm kinda worn out. I'm just incredibly proud.

Barack & Hillary on the stage together. A very sweet moment.
President Obama does have that special temperament of calm grace that is something all parents can be proud to have their children emulate.

The president's speech was remarkable. (He's going to make a LOT of money making speeches in the next several years... And why not?)

I appreciate the inclusion of Spanish. I truly do. It's amazing. Not just teeny words like "HOLA!!" But actually someone who speaks the language. It's OMG WOW.

Tonight was a good night. I'm going to miss the Obamas and Bidens. Really great speeches this week. Makes me feel good to be an American, Democrat, and Hillary supporter, I'd been a bit blah about the election until this week. Now I'm feeling fired up and ready to go. I hope it's had the same effect on some others.

You know what the DNC has done that really out does the RNC? They end the night after the headline speaker instead of making someone talk to a half empty room.

I hope the work I do with students makes a difference in their lives and as a result, the county.

Just realized I was posting on the TUESDAY night thread. First I was admiring Joe Biden for using object pronouns correctly. Now I'm enjoying his use of the word "malarkey." Looks like he's the designated pit bull for the evening. I love malarkey. I really love that after the chanting, he got quiet. He lowered his volume so they need to be quiet to listen to him. Perfect. Teacher trick! What object pronouns did he use correctly? Men with good grammar are so hot.

I teared up on a few of the speeches last night, but when they showed the film abut President Obama I was crying and I looked over and saw my husband wipe a tear. His speech was so awesome. I don't have words.

What object pronouns did he use correctly? Men with good grammar are so hot. He knows how to use "you and me" and "you and I" correctly. So many people say things like "he told you and I..." because they think it sounds like what you're supposed to say.

The only observation I have is that the democrats here are able to watch their convention and discuss it without the other side coming in to bash every speaker. How refreshing.
