Holy shit, this bully mashup! I'm behind, what should I be looking for? It was one of those short videos and showed famous bullies (Biff, etc.) and then a little girl got up to ask Hillary about bullying. It was powerful.

Watching Hickenlooper speak. As a Coloradoan, I really like him. The only real time I've been pissed at or disagreed with him was on his passing the buck on the execution of Nathan Dunlap.

I love how diverse the crowd and speakers are. What a difference from the RNC. I'm totally tearing up watching the father of Khizr Khan speak.

I'm listening to what I consider whiny people who are bitching about not having enough money to pay student bills or this woman who is upset that she works opposite shifts with her husband.
I guess my feeling is: you chose to take student loans and picked a profession (teaching) that doesn't make a lot of money
2nd person chose to have children with no savings. She said that no family should have to choose between a car payment and food. I guess I would want the person to see if the car payment is necessary and if it is, why is it so much.
I have student loans. I went back in my mid 30s and got an MA and took student loans not only for school, but to cover what I would be making while in school. DH went back in his early 30s after we shut down our pizza business. We deferred a time or two as we were first starting out. We pay a shitload each month for our student loans, but they are loans that allowed us to get the jobs we have now and they were worth it. When they are paid off, our discrecionary income will go up a large sum. That doesn't mean that someone else should pay for my loan.

Plus, if you use actual math, you can count how many of each race, sex, religion, etc spoke at convention and also look at the diversity in the delegates. You cannot deny the DNC is far more diverse. It wasn't a hard conclusion.

I was watching earlier and a young man was on their whining about his school loans. Then the lady wanting $18/hour minimal wage? I had to change the channel. I have been watching the DNC to hear for myself what they wanted/believed in. But this? I had to change the channel.

There were 18 African American Delegates at the RNC. There were more Transgender people at the DNC than that!

I believe the DNC used diversity to make a point and it wasn't just wholesome inclusiveness. I like that they did, but I do think it was calculated.

Yesterday (I think) there was a guy in Congress who is gay and Asian. He called himself Gay-Sian. I have giggled at that all day. I had never heard that before.

I think they consciously choose a diverse platform of speakers but depending on the state the actual delegates are chosen from party members at the state level. I think they are a true reflection of the people who make up the democratic party.

So I donated $5 earlier because I wanted to be entered for a chance to win something. I just got a text that said "About to head out and accept your nomination for president. I'm so grateful to everyone who made this moment possible." ~H

Holy shit, this bully mashup! OMG, I got chills. My oldest son has been bullied. It is horrible as a parent to not be able to protect your child. I am a teacher and I have watched as kids get so broken by bullies that they finally come to a teacher. It breaks my heart. It was actually a very powerful clip for me.
