for a blender. BUT, I have a feeling I am really going to love it. I am just struggling with buyer's remorse. So, people who love your Vitamix (or Blendtec). Tell me it was worth it when I had a perfectly functional Ninja (not the top of the line Ninja, one of the basic models).

Just use it! Then you'll never look back. As good as you think your ninja was, your vitamix is sooooooooo much better. You will get smoothness like you could never get in a ninja.
I have a spinach smoothie with chia seeds and berries every morning. On vacation I had access to a ninja so used that. My smoothie wasn't very smooth. It could not break up the tiny seeds on the berries nor the bigger chia seeds and there were flecks of spinach and small bits of ice in the smoothie. I was very happy to get back to using the vitamix when I got home.

We love our Vitamix. We've made strawberry frozen yogurt. I haven't tried making soup yet.

Love mine for green smoothies. They are truly smooth. I can't stand smoothies with little bits of spinach in them and this way there are none. I can also put fibrous fruits like orange in my smoothies, and there are no little fiber-y bits.
I've also used it for mayonnaise and made a really yummy sorbet. It makes hummus as smooth and creamy as commercial hummus (but better tasting) - way smoother than my food processor. I need to try soup but haven't done that yet. Oh, it makes an excellent margarita. Use the whole fruit margarita recipe out of the booklet. It's delicious! We've also made agua fresca with way less sugar than what you get elsewhere and it was delicious.
We had a Ninja before, and the Vitamix is ten times better. Seriously. And their customer service is great. I lost the plug that goes in the lid and they sent me a whole new lid for free.

Blend up some roasted butternut squash soup in it, and you will get right over it!

I got one in February and love it! I use it almost daily and mostly for nice cream (which is frozen bananas blended). It blends so well and so much quieter than other blenders. Don't feel guilty, just use it as much as you can!

Start small with smoothies. Then make amazing emulsified salad dressings and marinades. Make mayo, soup, hummus. Each and every time you will pat yourself on the back and feel like a super genius for the amazing silky texture. Then you will think, oh wait, it is not me, it is the Vitamix. Enjoy! It is the best appliance I have ever owned.

To add I have several other appliances that cost a lot less but I use this waaaay more often. So, like shoes, if you spend more but use them more often, your cost per use just keeps going down.

Make fresh nut butter and you'll be amazed. Nothing like buying some low-salt nuts at TJs and throwing them in the Blendtec and having fresh nut butter. And if you add a tablespoon of baking cocoa, you get chocolate nut butter!

I bought one about 3 months ago, absolutely no buyer's remorse from me...I make a green smoothie in it every morning. Last night I made hummus. Made peanut butter the other day. I can't wait to make soups knit in a couple of months. Enjoy!

We make smoothies several times a week and last night I made pesto in it. My neighbor comes over to make almond milk. It's a wonderful investment!!

We bought a Blendtec about 5 years ago. It has a counter - has been used over 2200 times!~ It is fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I detest buying cheapo appliances that die in less than a year. The waste, the junk in our landfills, ugh. Give me a quality, made to last product any day. In the long run, I don't think it is any more expensive, it's better for the planet, and the performance is superior. win. win. win! Enjoy your Vitamix for years to come!

I bought one a couple of months ago because my Ninja was wearing out. I make smoothies everyday and my DH made some very awesome margaritas with it. I can't wait till it cools off a little bit to make soup.

I have never once regretted buying my Vitamix. It makes the BEST smoothies, great soups, amazing salsa verde and so much more.`If mine broke today, I'd replace it without a moment's hesitation. Start using it, and you'll love it!

I did not write it down, but I Googled vitamix lemon curd and used the easiest recipe. It was a hit at Easter with fresh French bread and butter. Easiest appetizer ever. It cooked the yolks and it was smooth as silk. Seriously like 8-10 minutes start to finish, including juicing the lemons. I think another pea had mentioned it. Mmmhhh. Now I want some!

I agonized over spending the money on my Vitamix, but it was truly worth the price! I use mine mostly for smoothies, frozen sorbet, fruit syrups for waffles, and occasionally soups.
When I go visit family, I feel deprived without my Vitamix!

My husband thought I was a bit wacky for buying one. He uses it more than I do now.
Well worth every penny!

I bought it because I wanted to make smoothies that didn't have small chunks of greens or peels in them. My Ninja still left some of those behind, so when I made smoothies, I would still have to "chew" small things. I heard the Vitamix made smoother smoothies. Which is correct, it does.
