I see a lot of pattern mixing these days. I'm not a fan.

Not my thing. I don't think I could pull it off, it would look like I got dressed in the dark. LOL

I don't wear a lot of prints but my mom does the prints with stripes and I think she pulls it off very well. As long as there is consistency in the color of the print to the color of the stripes I think it looks great.
I'm much more of a plain, solid color type dresser so I don't think I could pull it off.

Pattern mixing has been around for awhile. I like the first example but not the second.

I wouldn't do it with my clothes, but it's done in scrapbooking all the time, so I guess it can be done, it just has to be done correctly.

I am not tall enough and too curvy to get away with mixing patterns and stripes. It would be a hot mess and I would end up looking like Punky Brewster got dressed while dropping acid.

My sister was doing that back in the 60's when she was in grade school. She never was interested in fashion, just wore what felt comfortable. Used to drive mom nuts! It's not a fashion trend I plan to embrace, although I am trying to add a few more prints to my wardrobe of mostly solids. One of the great things about getting older is that you realize that you don't have to try out every single trend that comes along!

I LOVE it and have a lot of it.
It's been big for at least a few years.
Clothes should never be boring.

I feel like the animal print and the pink stripes and the denim doesn't quite come together, but I like the floral on navy with the navy and white stripes.
I'm like the least fashion forward person ever, but I like that outfit at least.

I was thinking the same thing, but usually in scrapping the patterns are used in such big amounts. Like usually it's gallon/quart/pint ratios. A striped top and flowered skirt would be like a gallon of each pattern instead. That first example isn't That first example isn't bad, since the colors go well together, but the second link doesn't look very good to me.

stripes and floral has been around for a really long time. I wore it in high school in the 80s.
Stripes and animal prints? Not so much.

I love both those looks, they're cute and fun. Clothes are meant to be a statement, there aren't any 'rules' about what looks good together. Who wants to go round looking boring all the time?

Naw, I don't like it. It looks messy. I don't really care for most prints on clothes. I wear mostly solids.

It's a big thing with LuLaRoe! As a consultant, I struggle with it. Most of the time I'm wearing solids or a solid with a print. But, there are some combos that can look amazing together! It's really about the scale of the print & the negative space.

I don't do it very often, but I like patterns much more than solid color-blocking outfits, so I like it! (I like the first example more than the second, but that's only because I'm not bold enough to pull off wearing animal prints.) eta: I think what looks 'off' about the second version is that the scale of the leopard print and the stripes are both about the same-- if the stripes were a larger-scale print, it might look better.

Ugh, it's just one of those fashion trends that hopefully will go away soon.
Not only do I not wear stripes and flowers together, I usually wear solids.

I love mixing prints. I think it can be done well. It's all about scale and color. I've always loved prints though, and enjoy wearing them even when everyone else is wearing solids.

Mixing prints was a huge thing during the preppy craze when I was in college in the late seventies/early eighties.

I think clothing style and home decor are personal. I don't think any of it is wrong if you like it.
For me I don't like the stripes and flower thing. I like patterns paired with a solid and not each other. There are also a lot of color combos that other people like that I don't...pink and green together being one of them.
I think that you like what you like, and no one should make you feel bad for that.
