I hate to whine but I believe in the power of prayer so I am asking if you could send prayers and good thoughts my way. I've had so much bad health news this week. Maybe some of you know more about some of these things and I would greatly appreciate if you have anything you can share.
I recently had to have 5 biopsies and they came back saying I have precancerous cervical cells. I don't even know exactly what this means because I haven't met with my doctor yet. They said I dont have HPV and cervical cancer develops slowly so it should be manageable. Still sounds scary.
My VNG tests came back and show that my right ear shows evidence of damage. My doctor thinks I have Menieres disease. I suffer from awful vertigo and have had tinnitus for years. My ENT is sending me to someone more specialized and a Vestibular Balance practice, but he said the damage in my ear is irreversible.
I got my blood test results back from last week back today too. My white blood cell count was high and they said something about my vitamin C levels too. I don't have a cold so not sure what that is from.
To top it off, I fell down the stairs today. They did X-rays and I have broken my tailbone. It is super painful. They said I should not sit or lie on my back for 4 weeks. But next week I am supposed to take my daughter on a trip for her 21st birthday (Las Vegas). She is so looking forward to it and for the first time ever I forgot to get travel insurance which means I would lose $2200. I'm nervous about the 6 hour flight and how much you walk in Vegas, but I don't have the heart to cancel the trip knowing we won't be able to afford it again any time soon. I'm leaning towards just trying to power through it but I'm not sure if that is realistic.
I already struggle because of my vascular / GI issues and syncope so all this is overwhelming.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading this, and thank you in advance for any prayers you can offer and info you can provide.
(Hope this post isn't too rambling, they gave me a morphine shot.)

I'm sorry you're dealing with all this at once. sending you positive thoughts and prayers! if it helps, a couple friends had precancerous and even actual cancerous cervical cells in a Pap smear. both were easily dealt with and they've had no lasting issues.

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry! That is way too much for anyone to handle.
My sister had precancerous cervical cells years ago. She had no further issues after treatment. I don't recall exactly what was done.
And OUCH for the broken tail bone. My DD fell on the ice and broke hers. She used one of the blowup donut things to sit on.
I hope you can manage the trip somehow.
Hugs, Pea friend.

Thank you this is definitely useful as I know nothing about cervical cancer.

I'm sorry. That sounds like a lot to process and handle in terms of the results. Praying that you can navigate the management of your health issues and that you can make the trip with minimal pain. It certainly sounds like you are in need of some time times with your daughter to help take your mind off your medical issues.

Bless your heart! 💕. You have so much to deal with and plenty of unanswered questions still.
Many (HUGS) as you go through you trip while in so much pain. I don't blame you, I'd be trying to do the same thing.
Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers!

That's a lot to have on your plate at one time.
Perhaps you can take pain medication to make it through your trip (and use Uber or taxis, which is easy in Vegas). If you let the flight attendants know that you are dealing with a broken tailbone, I'm sure they will do whatever they can to make your trip more comfortable.

(((Hugs))) - sorry you have all of this to deal with! I don't know if this would help on the plane, but you might try one of those donut-type pillows to take the pressure off of your tailbone.

Oh my such a lot of issues. Prayers and good thoughts coming your way from me.
I have had the vestibular issues with vertigo and the like for 4 years now. Had brain surgery 2 years ago with some relief, but some of the damage is permenant. So always will have vertigo. No more heels for me ever. Hopefully you will not have the same diagnosis.

My mom fell and broke her tailbone at age 89. It was a long recovery, but she was helped with a donut pillow we bought at a medical supply pharmacy.
Hope you see some quick answers and relief from your other issues. Hugs to you.

Oh goodness...poor you! I have had a damaged tailbone so you have my sympathy...a ring cushion could prove really helpful I think.
Thank goodness the cervical cells were found early...positive news on that front!
I hope you can enjoy your trip.

My sister had the precancerous cervix cells. She had a procedure done to get rid of them and then she had pap smears every 3/4 months for maybe two years? Not sure how long she had frequent paps, but this happened almost 15 years ago and she's never had those cells again. I wouldn't cancel my trip for my tailbone. I think you can get a donut pillow for the plane ride that will take the pressure off your tailbone. Maybe ask your doctor for some pain meds to help with the pain for the plane?

That's a lot of things raining down all at once. I'm sorry I will echo the recommendation for a donut pillow to help with the tailbone pain. My dad had Meniere's disease, but I don't really know of any resources to recommend-he wouldn't talk much about his health issues, treatments, etc. I did find these links in a quick search: Meniere's Society It's in England, but might have some helpful info? Facebook support groupSupport Group Directory I am sending you lots of good thoughts.

Sorry you are going though all this. For the precancerous cells, are they doing anything about it to be proactive? For the Menieres Disease, I know there are some facebook groups for it. My friend was just diagnosed and she's been managing it pretty well through diet. Her biggest thing that is a trigger is sodium so she tries to avoid that at all cost.
Tailbone, that I can help you with. I broke mine when I was 10. Talk to your chiropractor if you have one, they might be able to do an adjustment. For the flight or sitting for long periods of time get one of those donut pillows, it really will make a difference. No running, but walking should be better in a week or so And ice and antiinflammatories to keep the swelling down. It still hurts to sit for long periods of time 30 years later, but I just get up and move around as much as I can. Talk to the flight attendants when you get to your gate.

I had that about 12 years ago.

You're hardly whining. You're in pain, you've been dealing with health issues for sometime, and you're worried about your trip to Vegas. I'm sending positive energy your way and hoping you will be able to figure something out for the trip.
