That is a lot of unfortunate news happening all at once. Try to think of it this way - Everybody gets unfortunate things happening in their life. You should be due for a long, long session of free and easy coming your way since you are getting a big chunk of bad lumped together all at once. Does that help? Regarding the trip to Las Vegas, would sitting on one of those inflatable rings elevate the pressure on your tailbone enough to make the trip feasible? I will be saying prayers for you!

I'm so sorry for all of your bad new piling on this week! I don't have any personal experience but if you feel like you can, I would take the trip. You will have pain if you are home anyway. And as others have mentioned, try the ring pillow and move around on the flight. Good luck with everything!!!

I'm soooo very sorry that you've been handed so much to deal with at once!!! (((HUGS)))
I, too, believe from all I've heard and read, that cervical cancer is very, very treatable. Having precancerous cells means you caught it early, before it is even cancer, which is the job of the PAP smears we have done.
I would seriously discuss what travel would do to your longterm health should you try it. I can't imagine sitting on a plane or in a car for any length of time in your situation, and if there longterm implications are that it might affect your future mobility, I would definitely not risk it.
I know this is a special trip you had planned for/with your daughter. Does she have a bestie or other family member who could take the trip with her? That would mean you don't lose all of your $2200 if they can still use your dd's ticket and the hotel, if that is paid in advance. In your shoes, I would try to find a way for dd to go with someone else. And I'd be disappointed not to be doing it with my dd, but happy that she, at least, could go.
Good luck with all you are facing! Prayers said!

I was diagnosed with pre-cancerous cervical cells in my 20s (1995). They did a colposcopy and then a leep procedure to remove them. It was outpatient. I haven't had any trouble since and I'm now in my mid-40s. Hopefully yours will be just as benign.

My sister had the precancerous cervix cells. She had a procedure done to get rid of them and then she had pap smears every 3/4 months for maybe two years? Not sure how long she had frequent paps, but this happened almost 15 years ago and she's never had those cells again. I wouldn't cancel my trip for my tailbone. I think you can get a donut pillow for the plane ride that will take the pressure off your tailbone. Maybe ask your doctor for some pain meds to help with the pain for the plane? Was that the LEEP? I had that about 12 years ago. Yep! I couldn't remember what it was called. She first had a cone biopsy and then the LEEP procedure.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your fall and all your other health issues.
Maybe there is a way to postpone your trip. I had to recently postpone a trip to Montreal due to a family emergency - I had about $1000 worth of non-refundable airfare via Delta, and when I cancelled I requested a refund anyway (which I didn't expect they would give me) but they did put in my record that they waive the change fee to apply to a future trip that I was taking as long as it was within six months. Perhaps it's worth a try for that, and if you had to prepare a hotel, maybe a hotel would allow you to move the date.
My thoughts are with you for a quick recovery.

You need a trip to Las Vegas after a week like this, I am sorry! I hope it helps you to know I'm another with the bad pre cells, that never developed into anything else.
I've also been living with Meniere's for 14 or 15 years. As awful as the hearing portion is, I appreciated it allowed a definitive diagnosis. I hope they told you the loss might not be permanent. Mine was typical, in varied over time until finally settling. I don't think the final loss is actually all that bad, and it's very livable once the constant sounds went away. And it gets much much better, one day you realize it's almost gone, another you try to remember when you had a bout.
It will be stressful for a couple of years. And people around you wont easily understand or appreciate it, because it sounds simple. But one of the best things you can do is not back off from the good things in your life, like vacations or time with loved ones. You need to find ways to decompress and be distracted from the daily grind.
I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I look back at that time in sort of awe. My DH had his own issues and we had toddler/ preschoolers and I am amazed I didn't fall apart.
Maybe you'll have different kind of trip than you planned, more spa days instead of show nights? But try to find a way to get away and blow off steam and relax. You deserve it- and need it.

Praying for you. You have lots of good advice on this thread. I can only comment on the pre-cancerous cells. It is more common than you would think. As mentioned above, that is why we have PAP's, to catch it before it turns into cancer.
