I made DH a Halloween card. I make him one every year since it is one of our favorite holidays. We just love this time of year.

finished the 3rd layout today to complete the 1980's in mum's album next up - the 1990s You are really getting that album accomplished! Thank you -I'm under a time crunch since mum's birthday is Nov 5th and I fly out at 6am Nov 4th so it needs to be finished by Thursday (and hopefully in time to scan the layouts first) first of 2 2-pg layouts for the 1990s done.

I'm hoping to do a little scrapping today, too. I'm having a couple of friends over to scrap next month and I'm so excited about it. One of my friends used to scrap years ago and would like to get back into it. The other one bought stuff years ago but didn't know what to do so she never started. Probably a lot of the day will be about helping her get started and I'm happy to help her. Scrapping with friends is always fun!

Good for all of you on your progress! This weekend has been a little too busy to get any creative time in. I wanted to make some Halloween projects this week, but it seemed too late to start something.
Somehow I'm not too inspired right now, and can't decide what to work on next. I think what's blocking me is the need for photos to be printed. Now that I say it, I guess that needs to be my project for the week. Photos always get my creativity going.

90's are done onward to the 2000s... oaksong, I ended up not scrapping either. Friday and Saturday were so busy and today I just vegged all afternoon and now I'm enjoying pizza and beer and might watch a movie with the family. There's always tomorrow...

I started prepping my 2015 Disneyland album. DD and I went in 2013 as well so I figured I have lots of Disney paper left from that album. Well that's not going to work! I used the Simple Stories Say Cheese line for that album and I loved it. However, everything for the 60th Diamond celebration is blue!! And bright blue at that. The Say Cheese has some blue but it's all very muted. Even the reds don't work well with the 60th stuff.
I have some traditional Disney papers I can incorporate but I think this is going to be a much simpler album with the pages far less layered. I'll make sure to add some sparkle though since it is the Diamond Celebration.

You might look at the line and just select the papers without pink. It's a pretty line, even if it is really girly.

Thanks oaksong! I did a card class using that line. I think it would have some pieces that work. I'll have to see if my LSS has any in stock.

I scrapped sat eve with friends. Worked on my sons rotc pics. I used the fabric from when his uniform pants were hemmed to make a frame. Will post a pic later.

I used the fabric from when his uniform pants were hemmed to make a frame. I LOVE that idea! I found scrapping JROTC photos to be so hard - there are no embellishments that really worked well and the colours (at least for the Army which my kids were in) are tough. Of course, neither of mine got their trousers hemmed - they both needed them let down - yes, both 6'3" DS and 5'3" DD (she's leggy)

Yesterday was a good day to scrapbook for me. I managed to complete four pages in my mom's album. I've been avoiding this 11x8.5 album for years because it's horizontal, but have found it very easy to work in. I completed four pages in my sisters album and one for my nephew. Nine pages...yay!
I have ten pages laid out with paper, but need to put more embellishments with the kit. I'm using October Afternoons Rocket Age for this set of pages and I used up most of the embellishments I put with the kit. I have embellishments in color boxes, so that will be easy enough.
Right now I'm working on pictures from when they visited the Cosmosphere. I put together some really cute kits with space as the theme and I'm loving playing with the themed goodies.

I was at a crop Fri night and all day Sat but I was working pretty slowly which is unusual for me. I think I did like 20 pages the whole time. I am happy with the pages I did though.
I have a getaway next Fri, Sat and Sun and I hope to totally finish this California years project.
