Donald Trump is now on the warpath with the Republican Party. Do you all think that he would follow the GOP Platform given Paul Ryan's conference call and Trump's counter-attack tweets?

What's scary to me is even when he loses, that underbelly of America that he seems to have awakened will still be around. I'm hopeful that the rest of American sees it for what it is and shuts that shit down quickly. I know I will because I've seen it with my own eyes where I live.
That is certainly a group of people I don't have any problem marginalizing and hope goes away forever.

What do people think of hi, threatening that if there are more tapes of him, he will continue to bring up Bill Clintons past? It's not that I condone Bill's behavior, but this really rubs me the wrong way. It is manipulative, childish, and seems to be very close to blackmail.

I'm having so much fun watching Ryan get what he so richly deserves. He has just shown what a bad manager he is and how little influence he has. Trump may not win but he is like Sherman's march to the sea. He is destroying everything in his path and Ryan's pathetic attempts to stop it are laughable. Way too little, way too late.
On a happier note, this clusterfuck may just ensure that the people never have to worry about Pense actually holding any office again.

One has to wonder what he is going to do now that the "shackles" are off. And interesting to hear that he sees his connection to the GOP as "shackling" him. Not the language I'd expect from someone committed to the political party.

People really think he is a republican ?? or cares about the platform ?? NO

The random, curious thing about these tweets in that they are not all from Twitter for Android, which is usually the tell if it's actually DT or a staffer (who use Twitter for iPhone). I have visions of Trump swiping an iPhone out of a staff member's hand, running away, and locking himself in the bathroom to tweet, hoping to convince the American public that his staff is onboard with his harebrained thinking.

The idiot doesn't realize that he is only pandering to the crowd that will vote for him anyway. He needs establishment Republicans and he can't win with them alone either. He also needs some independents which I think he has largely lost except for those who really dislike or distrust Clinton.
To answer your question, No, I don't think he will follow the platform. I'm not sure he has the sense to even understand what their platform is and how to apply it to actual practice. He's also like a teenager bound and determined to do exactly the opposite of what anyone wants or expects him to do no matter how much trouble he might get in. (I don't mean to insult any of your teenagers; I'm sure they are far more courteous and intelligent.)

Here's the thing - Trump IS the Republican Party right now. He is THEIR candidate, whom THEY chose to be their representative. Members of the party who say they won't defend his comments, but will continue to endorse him ARE supporting him and they ARE defending him. If they truly do not support him and what he stands for, they should not be endorsing him, supporting him, voting for him, or appearing with him. Period. Anyone who endorses Trump is endorsing Trumps beliefs and his "plans" (parenthetical because no one is quite sure what those are and how he intends to fulfill them) and that, above all, is frightening.

He stated that if the "Democrats" release any more tapes. How on earth would the Democratic party have had access to the tape that was released last week? Also, Bill Clinton is not running for President. Period. Nothing in his past should have anything to do with any of this race.

The is what the beginning of his implosion looks like. He's laying the groundwork for being able to blame the GOP when he loses.
The wheels have come off the bus. He's done.
Now I'm afraid of what this country will look like when the dust settles. So much of the underbelly of this country has been exposed and they now feel like they have a voice. The Clinton hatred will only grow as these assholes become more and more bitter. I hope that she has a very large security detail and that nothing bad happens. I wonder if the GOP can rebuild and find the next face of the party. If so, then I doubt she will have a 2nd term. I really hope to see Mark Cuban in the ring next time.
This shit show is far from over and is just beginning, I'm afraid. Nothing Trump has done or will ever do has ever surprised me. What has surprised me is how much this country sucks. We are not #1 in the world in anything and yet we just a bunch of arrogant hicks. I'm ready to move to Canada.

My family is looking into moving to Switzerland too. I just want to live in a country that lives in peace and harmony and has respect for each other. I use to think I was so lucky to have been born in the greatest country....not anymore. I know I'm probably going to get a lot of flack for being anti-American...that's okay because the reality is this country is not so great!

Can't speak for anyone else but yes, in Canada (like the UK), we have very strict gun control. I don't know anyone outside of law enforcement who owns a gun other than hunting rifles. Nobody here fears having to "defend their home" by having guns. It just isn't a huge part of our culture.

We can only hope that he goes the way of Sarah Palin and never holds office again. I am am hoping for the trifecta come November.... Pence won't be our governor- check Pence's hand picked right hand (his elected LG resigned not long ago) doesn't get elected to replace him- looking very possible Pence won't be our next VP- looking pretty certain at the present time There will be parties in the streets here I predict, which says a lot when we are clearly a red state.

For the first time, I completely agree with what you're saying--except the moving to Canada part. I cannot BELIEVE that anyone would vote for someone with so little self-control. You might as well elect a two-year-old.

We have our share of mental illness but we also have very strict guns laws and they are fully adhered to by people that have a license to own one. Our police don't carry guns except for the specialist officers who cover airports/government buildings/embassies and such like. I think it's just a different culture. I don't feel the need to own a gun, I don't hunt nor am I a farmer. I've never even seen a toy gun for sale here. It's not really a part of any child's life to want to play with one.

He knows he won't win now. He is now hell-bent on taking everyone he can down with him. No matter if you have a D or an R behind your name.
Katy Tur posted a photo on Twitter. It was a man who was at a Trump rally with his wife and his 3 children and his shirt said in huge letters:
She's a cunt. Vote for Trump.
I hate him. I do. I hate Trump for what he has brought to the surface and for the damage he will continue to do for the next who knows how long. I'm not naïve enough to believe that his bullshit will go away on November 9th.
If a person who will wear a shirt like that isn't deplorable, I sure as hell don't know the word for it.

We do have a problem with mental health but the general public just don't have guns. After a school shooting in 1996 there was a guns amnesty and a tightening of the rules surrounding ownership. Guns just aren't part of our culture. We have house break-ins etc of course, but we don't fear being shot.
