With some Trump supporters and the whole "repeal the 19th amendment" thing, a friend of mine is going to do something really freaking cool on Election Day. She is a costumer who does various time periods but she has a full out, turn of the century, suffragette kit (I personally am very jealous of her Gibson Girl hair!) that she plans to wear on Election Day.
She and a friend of hers wore their "votes for women" sashes and their period dresses to speak at a local League of Women Voters meeting a while back. I don't have permission from her or I'd post the picture. She has so many gorgeous dresses, I love seeing what she wears to steampunk events even though her attire is more historical than steampunk.

Wouldn't it be cool if millions of women wore suffragette costumes for Halloween!

It's one thing to wear the dress and the wig, but I'd be sure to suggest she leave the sash at home. Maybe it's different where you live but in my state, you are not allowed to bring any sort of political message into the actual polling place.

I get it was 1914... but not today.
