I think I am going to take the day off. Not because I am extremely worried about violence (although that is a concern) but because I don't want to deal with any bs that day, regardless of who wins. So, it will be a paperwork day.
Is anyone else taking the day off?

I think I'll work from home that day.
ETA - not because I'm thinking there will be violence. Just because I think I'll need a chill day.

My state always votes the same way so it won't be any different this year. I work from home on Wednesdays so I'll be working from home like normal, not because of the election. I won't be watching the news or talk shows that day. I'm done with this election already and can't imagine I'll want to hear any more of it then.

I'll be celebrating Madame President's historical win. :-)
My day will be business as usual. But when she wins we're planning a celebratory dinner that night with various friends and family.

Hopefully I'll be celebrating. Not worried about any weirdness (violence) around these parts.

I'm seriously considering a personal day because I hope to be really hung over, either from jubilantly celebrating or drowning my sorrows in as much booze as possible.

Something fun for sure. I will be so sick of hearing about the election that I may need to go away for a couple of days. Naaa maybe not. I'll just be going to the gym like I pretend to do every day.

It doesn't matter who wins the election, I feel we, the people, have already lost.

I'll be working from home as I just got approved to work from home on Mondays and Wednesdays for several months as dd's having a really bad time with her health.
I'd actually rather be at work though. Hopefully to celebrate with my coworkers (we are all pretty similar in politics, though working at a very liberal college, I often feel like the conservative one!) or consoling one another if it comes to that.

I'll be at work - it's a school day, and I'll be there.
We avoid politics at work at all costs. It works for us.

I feel that we have all lost just by having Trump as a candidate. But if Hillary wins, I will be celebrating, even if it is at home, alone. Lol.

She has lost my confidence. Trump never had it. But all that aside, I feel the ugliness of this election on behalf of *both* candidates has cost us far more than we can even comprehend, as a country.

Working. I work in a very low drama office, we have hardly talked politics at all. It has been awesome!

I'll be leading the final dress rehearsal of my 4th grade program of songs and dances from around the world, performed mostly by brown-skinned immigrant children, as my personal "fuck you" to Donald Trump.

There's no political talk in my office and my state will go democrat like always so I don't anticipate any drama. There will probably be patients making comments but I don't talk politics at work and have no problem telling them that.

It'll be business as usual here I suspect. I'll probably avoid the internet though.

Sleeping and maybe something outside if the weather is nice. We're either hosting or going to an election night party so Nov. 9th will be a vacation day.

Well, November 9th is my birthday, so we will likely be going out to dinner that night. I will be very tired from staying up late on the 8th, to watch the coverage, but I will be going to school as usual. On Wednesdays I'm at the junior high so I will try to make plans that will be easy to carry out. I'm sure some of the kids will have lots to say about the election so there may be even more conversation and explanations than normal. I have a curriculum committee meeting after school. It will be a long day - although I hope to feel relieved and not bummed out.

I hadn't really thought about it. I don't expect any funny business but I do think I'll avoid social media and talk shows.

Telling my students that I still won't discuss my politics with them, but if they want to discuss the election we can.

I will either be relieved and heading to work as usual or will stay home and be smoking weed for the first time in my life and getting drunk.

Going to work as usual. The results won't come in until the late evening. My company has a no talk at politics policy, first time I've been in an office like this. I'm used to discussing the debates with my co-workers the day after.
