My husband is in charge of his company Christmas party, which really means that I am in charge of all of the details Anyway, one of the games I want to play is the Saran Wrap ball where you put candy and such inside and everyone get a turn to try and unwrap it before the next person rolls a certain number on the dice. What kind of things should I put in there? I will be putting candy, but I sort of want to put some more "expensive" things in there too. Any ideas?

Cash.
Otherwise adults are not going to see the fun in unrolling plastic wrap to get candy.

We did it (as a family) last year and LOVED it. Money and scratch off lottery tickets were popular items. One thing we plan on doing differently this year is using smaller (i.e. shorter) lengths of Saran Wrap. Last year we used one long continuous wrap and the game went too quickly. We think smaller lengths will slow down the game and make it more fun. Sorry if that doesn't make sense.

We are doing this at our office Christmas party this year. We are putting in scratch off tickets, small bottles of alcohol, nail polish, money, candy, $1 and $5, batteries, cards, phone chargers, post-its, highlighters, earbuds, fast food gift cards, small flash lights, car air fresheners...the list is endless. We will have one gift card in the center as the big prize.

If you don't mind them being gender specific, go scope out the Kohl's jewelry clearance racks. They sometimes have longer necklaces at a great price (and they should scrunch up okay into the ball).
Maybe some little christmas ornaments-- hallmark has some nice small ones. Like the ones that are usually personalized but also say things like 2016 or Merry Christmas in case they don't have the name you want.
You could also have some slightly larger gifts (i.e., travel mugs, scarves, whatever), wrapped and numbered. Get some poker chips and write a corresponding number on the chip. If you get the chip, you get the prize that goes with it. (If you don't want to wrap all of that, just get some lunch bags.)
In non-gifty suggestions, I think this is the time of year for colored saran wrap, so I'd get multiple colors (and use some layers of clear between them).
ETA: when you guys make up your ball, what would you say the diameter ends up being? A foot? A yard?

We just did this at our Halloween party and everyone loved it. We used dollar bills, lottery tickets and gift cards in addition to candy. And don't think that once it gets going that adults aren't grabbing for the candy too.

You can also make them wear gloves to unwrap the ball. I used up several rolls of tape this way. If if you use this, don't put candy like M&Ms or Skittles in the ball. I had packages open up and kids eating candy off the floor. Yuck! But they were happy...
