I agree with you cyndijane -- I used to LOVE Black Friday shopping (pre-internet and online shopping era). I used to plan it all out on Thanksgiving Day and leave early early on Friday morning with my mom (when I was in college) and then with DH. The past few years I just haven't seen the deals (for anything that we wanted or needed) to justify all the struggle involved with parking, standing in lines, etc. Now I try to get my shopping done pre-Thanksgiving if possible or do it online after. I don't know if I am just and not willing to bother with it all or whether the deals are just not as competitive in stores as they used to be. Can get equally good deals staying home

I was perfectly happy today to chill at home, watch Gilmore Girls and hit target, Kohl's, & Lego via my trust computer instead of the car. I used to go out, but I didn't miss it. I am taking the kids out shopping tomorrow though.

I never went out on Black Friday. I hate crowds with a passion and no matter how good the discount, just wouldn't put myself in that situation.

I've gone out a couple of times years ago but now I have no desire to attempt it. I have looked at the ads and never see anything I want so there is no reason to go out with the crowds. I seem to be able to find better deals online with free shipping so why go out and pay more. I'll admit it used to be fun but once they started opening on Thanksgiving or at 3 am just not something I wanted to do.

I am broke so no black Friday shopping for me this year. That is what happens when you have been out of work for 8 months. (all related to my health not a lack of jobs in my field). But even if I had money there are no stores worth shopping at in my town, just a sporting goods store, Safeway and Walmart. So I am staying home, talking to my bff and enjoying the quiet.

I've been doing all of my BF shopping online. The mall in our neighborhood is so packed right now that people are parking their cars in front of our house and walking to the stores.
I used to have such a good time shopping with my mother the day after Thanksgiving, but it seems to get crazier each year and it's more stressful than fun to try to snag great deals.

I only started doing online shopping on Black Friday a few years ago and love that I can expect so many deals. Today for the first time I went in store shopping, my mom and I went to Saks, no long lines, pretty painless.

We went to the BX at Offutt AFB. No crowds, didn't buy anything. They had a woman with a YUGE Lularoe pop up store set up. I don't wear it, but people were all over it. We stopped at Petsmart But the lines were crazy. Just played with the kitties. Last stop was Michael's for a 2" circle punch. Got home and realized i grabbed the oval. Man I was pissed. Went back tonight to exchange. wagleg no way was i going to NFM. 😬

My son and I went to wallys and target at 9 pm for DVDs. There was almost no one in either one.
