It's almost December, so I am trying to decide if I need to buy any new reds. What is your favorite "holiday" red?
And what are you wearing on your nails?

As a matter of fact, I'm wearing a really pretty red right now! OPI's Madam President. It's a great red for the holidays.
Another great red polish is Zoya's Demetria.

I wore it for the election, but it didn't work! Very pretty red. I will look up the Zoya shade. Thanks for the recommendations!

At this point, i only wear polish on my toes. Right now I'm wearing my all time favorite polish: OPI Russian Navy. Not only do i love the color but it looks fabulous with my skin tone.

My current favourite red is Rimmel Ruby Crush because it's glittery. I've got it on my toes atm.

On my fingers I have OPI Tickle My Francey splattered with exploded black ink pen 😀
On my toes I'm wearing OPI I've Got the Blues for Red - it's a really nice deep red.

Hi-jack - does anyone wear the Zoya Satin line? Does the satin/matte finish look good IRL?

My fave dark red is OPI's Black Cherry Chutney This was one of my first OPI polishes, and is still a fave. At the moment my nails are bare and I'm trying to decide what my mood is.

Hi-jack - does anyone wear the Zoya Satin line? Does the satin/matte finish look good IRL? I have one in the color "Britney", which looks a lot like the color in that photo. I really like it. It gives me a nice, clean, natural looking manicure.

Hi-jack - does anyone wear the Zoya Satin line? Does the satin/matte finish look good IRL? I personally am not a fan only because it looks like a matte that got oiled and now isn't really matte anymore, or like my NYC matte topcoat that's actually satin. But that's my own quirk. I like it either completely flat or super shiny on my own nails, though the satin looks pretty in the pictures.

I'm always partial to Not Really a Waitress, that's my go-to red, particularly for my toes. I have French right now, as I have a show this weekend. But I'll probably go with a more sparkly red or maybe a design for Christmas.

I mostly only paint my toes. Right now they are a light gray with a red flower with a "diamond" in the center.

I bite my fingernails so I don't paint them but I did just get a pedicure yesterday and got a red - I don't know the name but it was the OPI brand.

I like it either completely flat or super shiny That's what I was wondering...I am thinking it might look a little like it was pressed against your clothes before it was completely dry or something. I do matte which is great for certain looks but....not sure about this

I loved the red from OPI's 2015 Starlight collection "Ro-man-ce on the Moon" I love this one - I think I bought it after you posted about it last year! I'm wearing it on my toes right now. Nothing on my fingers at the moment because I had back-to-back gel manicures and my nails look like crap right now. I'm going to baby them for another week or two before putting on polish.

Hi-jack - does anyone wear the Zoya Satin line? Does the satin/matte finish look good IRL? I have a gray one - I like it quite a bit. Just remember you need a matte top coat because a shiny top coat will defeat the purpose. I currently have a matte top coat from Sally's ( because when I first ordered I forgot ) but I ordered zoyas with the Black Friday sale. A friend of mine does an awesome French ish style manicure thing where she does the whole nail either matte or naked and the tip the opposite with a mulberryish line between the two. My favorite is the nail the naked pink tone and the tip the matte pink. It looks great but I don't have pictures.

It makes it matte, that's what it's for Huh. So different sheens of color coats are only for people, like me, who don't wear top coats. New knowledge. Thanks. They are good if you're in a hurry, they tend to dry more quickly. But Zoya does have a satin tc, which you can use to keep the satin finish or add one to a shiny polish. And if you're like me and cannot live without quick dry top coat, you build up your color, add one layer of qdtc to get all the base layers dry to touch, and then throw on one more coat of your satin or matte. I can't stand waiting for polish to dry on its own, ain't nobody got time for that
