Thanks Ellsabelle and Grammadee for the well wishes. I hate being out of action so that part has actually been the worst bit ohhh and the time it takes to hobble up and down stairs, frustrating but I am managing much much better now. You have one of my most favorite avatars. He (she?) is sooooooo cute!!!!!! Love that face! Thanks FurryP, You also have a very adorable avatar That is Alfie my big fur shedding mummas boy and he completely runs the house lol.

I didn't plan on scrapping yesterday, but I ended up finishing a 12x12 layout up to journaling. I'm really happy with it. After scrapping 8.5x11 for years I find that I like 12x12 so much more these days. cupcakepeddler, he does look like a happy boy.

Two more pages today, using lots of older stash. After next to no scrapping in December, I am happy to be back into this up to my elbows!
Next up will be some more Christmas scrapping. Top of the photo pile. And top of the precarious piles of pp & embellies all over my scrap counters. I really want to get those pages done so I can stuff all my Christmas supplies back into the closet until October when they can come out to play again when I am making Christmas cards.
I figured out how to add my progress to my status, and edit each time I finish something.

I'm neck deep in photo printing. First comes the choosing (I take soooo many pictures), then comes the editing, then comes the collaging, then comes the uploading (my upload speed is ridiculously slow and my camera is high quality, so DSLR pictures take several minutes each to upload...thank goodness the collaged ones are compressed), then comes the ordering and then comes a 1-2 day wait for shipping another week before I get them.
My local Costco SUCKS (they can't even insert paper right so non collaged photos come out the way they should...I have a ton with white triangles on the corners because the paper was inserted haphazardly at an angle...the most basic skill of putting in paper straight and they can't manage it) and since 4x6s ship free, I just order online. The cost for lustre is lower than anything else I've found and the online orders come in so much nicer...I just have to order at least 150 pictures or they ship the smartpost way...over a pound is 3 day UPS. I ordered over 2k prints from my in store center in the fall of '15 and am still finding photos with defects (I had to have them reprint hundreds already) because of their inadequacy. The wait means I can never be working on the week that just ended in PL, but it's worth it for the price and quality. I'm uploading the rest of November right now...I haven't been less than 2 months behind with photo printing in over 2 years! December's up next...wish me luck!

The whole photo process is the part I dislike. Listening to a podcast helps. I'm working on a layout today using EP Happy Camper. Now that I'm finished with my Disney album I'm working on some 2015/2016 pictures for my family album. Now that my kids are getting into their older teen years they're coming clean on some hilarious things they did as kids and never told me. I'm looking for pictures to use to tell those stories. I know those will be some of my favorites.

The horror!! LOL My old scrappy self would have cringed! but i don't care. It's easy peasy.

I'm surprised that I still feel like scrapping after finishing my album. I've done four layouts yesterday and today. I'm sniffing around Pinterest for inspiration for another layout. My goal for the rest of the month is to scrap the rest of the pictures I have on hand, which is only enough for four single page layouts, and then edit and order more pictures.
And great news! I'm hosting a crop at my house for a few friends next month. One used to scrap and would like to get back into it, one hasn't scrapped but would like to try it, and one tried it but didn't like it. LOL Whatever. I'm just happy to have people to scrap with and have all my supplies with me.

There is a crop in Feb about 40 minutes north of me, and I think I am going to reserve a table for the day. I hate packing up my stuff, but to be honest, I have SO little right now it won't be hard. I will probably make page kits and just take those.

I am moments away from being caught up on photos up through yesterday (haven't taken any today). I realized as I was looking through my cart selecting a few for duplicate prints that I didn't collage some photos that made sense for me to do that with (but I might have intentionally not done so because they were Christmas morning...I don't know...it was 2 days ago and I don't remember that far back, lol) so I am uploading them and am planning to order both the 2x3 collages and the full 4x6's so I can choose and then I'm ordering. I tell myself every time I start to get caught up that I'm never going to let myself get really far behind again. Well...I do. This last time wasn't as bad as before. At one point, I was almost 18 months or so behind and finally gave up trying to print in order, so I ordered starting from current and working my way backwards (which is why I had Jan and Feb left to go from last year...if you remember me mentioning it in a prior comment...I stopped keeping up with it the third week of September). How it would work would be that I'd order every 2 weeks. I'd place an order for the most recent 2 weeks and then order an older month or two at the same time. It was working great until life got busy (October is always ridiculously busy for us) and just thinking about how many pictures I had to go through just became overwhelming. There were nearly 1,600 photos from JUST October 1st and 2nd when we took a weekend trip to Salt Lake City!!!!!!
All that being said...this time, instead of just hoping to remember, I've set myself an alarm for the remainder of the year. Every Saturday evening, I'll get a notification telling me to go through the prior week's photos. I might not order every week, but I want to sort, edit, collage and upload regularly. Next year, the notification will change to Sunday nights. My weeks in PL run from the first of the year, no matter what day of the week, so I plan to prep photos during the evening of the last day of that PL week. I don't expect to sit down every week, but having the notifications will definitely be helpful! I can't believe I'm COMPLETELY CAUGHT UP! Yes, it's like laundry...as soon as you're caught up, there's more dirty clothes, but at this moment, until the next photos is snapped, I am caught up and SO RELIEVED!!

I had the day off today and finished the cards I started last weekend. No political connection to the card type, but I finished 8 sympathy cards. I'm very happy with them. I have a few pet sympathy cards I need to finish today/tomorrow.

I went through all of my 2016 pictures today and chose the ones I want to scrap. Phew! What a job. Now I need to come up with a vague idea of sketches to figure out picture size.

Crop last night 5-9 and today 10:30 to 5:30. I got a total of 20 pages done of my trip with my son to NYC in Dec. Here are 2 of the layouts where I used the photo realistic paper I love so much from scrapyourtrip.com. On the Central Park layout there is a very old circular sticker cut in half of skaters and a bridge - it's a Tracy Porter Colorbok sticker from what? 10 years ago? Had to use it - if not now, when? haha! I also used an oldie but still goodie State of Mine sticker of New York. I have to do maybe two or three 8.5 x 11 spreads of the Rockettes to finish the NYC trip. I have some custom paper for those from Escape Scrapbooking.

Your layouts are fabulous myboysnme and loco coco! You all are getting so much done that I'm jealous! My head has been boggled down until today when I finally started to feel better. I cannot be creative when my head is heavy, so I've just slept, watched some YouTube videos and fussy cut stuff when I felt like it. Instead of scrapbooking I started preparing for my LSS's yard sale next Saturday. Last time I took tons of stuff and ended up with about $450 in store credit. This time I'll be lucky if I end up with $50. I feel bad not to be more supportive of her store this time, but I don't have as much I'm willing to let go of. I'm LOVING what I have. I'm not going to purge the things I love. Of course I'm sure I'll spend plenty at the sale to make up for it. Keep up the good work ladies...

Now that I'm getting close to being caught up I can get back to taking more "moments" pictures and actually remember what the moment was about.
