I was unable to go anywhere today. I have a 24 hour shift beginning at 7pm and was concerned about getting home in time and being rested enough in case I don't get to sleep during my shift.
Thought maybe we could do a roll call of who marched and, if you are comfortable, in what city, including cities all over the world.

I couldn't go but DD went and live streamed for me from Madison WI. Population 200,000 with estimate up to 100,000 there. It is the state capital so it drew more from outside, but can you imagine 1/2 the population was outside. And unheard of weather for Wisconsin in January- in the 50s!
All peaceful.

Representing Pittsburgh, PA - the main march - 25,000+ strong!
ETA: To clarify, there were two marches in Pgh today. I was at the main one, there was another one in a different part of town with several more thousand.

We marched in Austin and it was incredible. Truly. I think the low estimate is 40,000, it felt like it.

Denver predicted 40,000 marchers. There were over 100,000 people strong today downtown. It was really beautiful. The mood was so positive and empowered, and some of the signs were funny! So happy I went. 😊

In Savannah GA we had two rallies in squares and a walk to Forsyth park. Probably a few hundred. Wonderful experience. Energetic and respectful. I was glad to be a part of it

I know one person that marched in Washington DC. Her wife was going to march but got sick and couldn't go One of my sister's friends marched in Seattle. I'm surprised I don't know more people that personally went.

DH and I marched in Spokane WA with over 5,000 people. Two cousins marched in Helena, Montana but I'm not sure what their turnout was.
I'm hearing over 10,000 in Helena. I *think* it was the only march in Montana.
ETA local news is estimating the Spokane March at over 8,000

My husband, daughter, and I marched with thousands in Cincinnati. I can't find an actual estimate of how many thousands, but the mile long walk from Washington Park to the courthouse reportedly took about two hours for everyone to finish! So many people. Everyone was super positive and friendly. And no protesting of the marchers. Very peaceful.

I marched in Austin. It was crazy! I have only ever been to one other protest – also at the Austin state capital – but I think it had close to 1,000 people. So this was a little different! It was a beautiful day and everyone was having a good time. For everyone who thinks it was about hate and negativity (mostly people on FB) that was not my experience at all. I felt hope and determination and solidarity. I am fired up now to fight for what's important. First up--education. Please call your senator and ask him/her NOT to conform Betsy DeVos as Secretary of Education. Thanks!

I wish I had gotten a group together to go to one. Beautiful weather today in my state- very warm for the season. DS said without hesitation that he would have gone with me.

Me! My daughter and I let my husband and son come along as "allies."
About 20-40 degrees warmer weather than usual resulted in a glorious day and also this sign:
"55 degrees in Chicago in January = Climate change."

Marched in NYC with a group of 25 representing Newtown, CT in matching green sweatshirts with our own logo. Not sure yet about the final totals for NYC. There were so many people there was really no marching. Just an immense crowd at a standstill.

Me! I marched today in St Louis. It was amazing - 15,000 people and a beautiful day. It was wonderful to be a part of it. Very peaceful and positive. Our senator, Claire McCaskill, walked with the crowd.

Dh, a friend and I marched on D.C. today. It was amazing. So positive. I cannot believe how many people there were and no violence or even meanness, even though we were often shoulder to shoulder on the Metro and on Independence Avenue. I made a point of thanking every police officer we passed today.

It took us an hour just to get out of the capitol grounds to start marching.Worth it, though. No negativity at all us and like you, I'm fired up for the fight. We can do this!

I'm sick, so was unable to attend the LA March with what seems like all of my local Facebook feed and 750,000 others, and a good deal of my non-local feed is at other marches across the country.
My mother is at the San Francisco march and says that it's so crowded no one can move.

My friends and I marched in San Jose, CA. It was all very positive and peaceful and upbeat. Assemblyman Ash Kalra was one of the speakers at the event and said it is the largest demonstration in San Jose’s history, which is pretty impressive since we ended at Plaza de César Chávez (we're no strangers to political activism).
