I don't care what he watches, if he would just leave it on the damn channel! He starts to watch one show then switches to another channel when a commercial comes on. Then he starts watching a movie that is half over before switching to see the score of the game. I want to rip the remote out of his ever lovin hands and throw it out of the window. Drives me bonkers! One time I unplugged the TV just so I didn't have to deal with his TV ADHD. It took him 3 days of blissful quiet before he figured it out. I pleaded complete ignorance of the deed.

He doesn't watch TV except for the noon news and 60 Minutes on Sunday evening if he's home at that time. There's a TV in the dining room for those things and I have one in my craft room for my own preferences.

It is strange that someone I enjoy spending time with so much changes when he is in front of the TV and cannot find anything good to watch - war, cowboys, infomercials, etc. He hates everything I like - cooking, Big Brother, Survivor, Amazing Race, etc. I used to get the remote when he nodded off, but now he can sleep with it clutched tightly in his hand.Yes! And often jammed deep into the crotch area too! He can have it.

Well, right now I'm having to suffer through Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Does that answer your question?

He watches a lot of sports. But we watch most shows together. I watch Big Brother with DS. And I watch a few shows while I'm on the treadmill. Things like Call the Midwife, Bachelor, etc. He watching Downton Abby with me.

My dh will watch any show related to big foot. OMG! I just get up and leave the room. Yep. Mine never misses those. He used to watch some show- monster quest , I think. Oh he loved that one but it isn't on anymore. He also watches the droning documentaries, that alien thing, and he loved some show about hogs - people chasing/hunting them, and now he loves some show where people drill some crap maybe it's minerals and I think once was a ruby? I don't know I just leave the room. Sometimes he will ask if we wanna wTch tv together and I say what would we watch and he looks at me blankly. He hates everything I watch, too! Oh, we both like walking dead. That's it.

For the most part we like the same stuff. it's HOW he watches it that drives me batty! He'll watch two or three shows at once or forget what he's watching. He changes channels faster than I change my mind.

I don't mind the history and science shows, but the Military Channel makes me feel like I'm married to a 90-year old man. It's the "fall asleep on the couch and start snoring" channel.

My DH DVRs a bunch of gearhead shows that make me shake my head: * Chasing Classic Cars * Wheeler Dealers * Engine Power * Detroit Muscle * Top Gear * All Girls Garage (which I not-so-affectionately refer to as All Tits Garage) For a smart guy, his taste in shows is baffling. But he IS watching Outlander with me!

Mine watches a bunch of hunting and car shows. He channel surfs a lot. He loves "how it's made". I like it too but not a marathon of it. He watches very little scripted shows, it's all reality type shows. Deadliest Catch, the Alaska shows, man vs Wild, then he'll also watch travel/cooking shows like with Anthony Bourdain.
He came in while I was watching Bachelor in Paradise (I know, I know, but it's a guilty pleasure). He had all kinds of comments that I had to give him the remote and go to bed because he was annoying me with his commentary.
There is a guy at work that watches sports on his lunch break. I'm not sure how much he gets to watch at home cuz he's pretty whipped but the guy watches EVERY sport. Today he watched the little league World Series. I take that back he told me the only sport he doesn't enjoy watching on TV is baseball, but likes going to games. But he'll watch golf, tennis etc. and he knows his sports.

Yes, he watches a couple of *really* bad shows: Bachelor/Bachelorette. Bachelor in Paradise. Oh my goodness, Sons of Anarchy. now, do I have to admit that I watch every one of those shows with him? Really? Do I have to say it out loud??

No, we tend to like the same TV shows. He did however go to see the Expendables 3 yesterday as he was on a flexi off day from work. I really didn't mind being stuck at work

Yes, he's watching an alien show now. Oh yes, the Ancient Alien, monotone war history and car shows too. Nothing more stimulating than the car shows. "This is a 1972 Mustang convertible with a V-8 95 cubic 456 horsepower non-catalytic carburetor super A-3 T4 wide angle suspension...." I run away and practice my french horn. Oh yes, he likes those old car auction shows too. I just get lots of computer and reading time.

OMG yes, sounds exactly like the kind of crap mine watches. Storage Wars, Hardcore Pawn, Breaking Amish, the show about the country rapper.....I could go on and on.
I don't like reality tv and only like a few of the shows he watches, most of them I swear I can feel my brain rotting as I watch. So I read a book or get online instead. Though sometimes what I'm reading or doing here probably isn't a ton better lol.

Reruns of CHiPs and the 6 million dollar man. Need I say more? How about Green Acres, Mayberry, Petticoat Junction, Mash, and every Star Trek ever. He downloads this stuff so I might have to watch different episodes of the same show all evening. He also has documentaries of which I might watch one now and again. So I read.

Oh ladies, I feel your pain. Which is why I very rarely watch a complete show/movie/special with him. Dh is a dedicated channel flipper and it drives me insane, and I don't even watch much tv. I also feel like Marshall Dillon, Miss Kitty, the Cartwrights and Lucas and Mark McCain are a part of my family. I spend more time with them than I do anyone else. I do like the Encore Western Channel, not for content, but because there are NO COMMERCIALS! For variety, he will watch whatever low-budget monster movie is on Syfi. Oy! But I do have my Nook and wifi, so I don't pay much attention to what is on tv, but this way I can be in the same room with him while he is watching. We do bond over Razorback sports, esp. baseball, and he is pretty good not to channel hop when the Hogs are playing.

We pretty much watch the same things...Big Brother, Survivor, etc. I usually have on ID network, Food Network or GSN on weekends, we can usually find something we both like.
He scoffs at, but watches my haunting shows.
Fortunately for me, he doesn't like cars, hunting or Star War stuff. Fortunately for him, I like the history channel.
The only time we have to watch tv in separate rooms is Monday night because he refuses to watch the Bachelor shows and coming up soon, Sundays, because I hate football. Sigh.

He'll also watch the car auction shows, Longmire and Justified. That's usually my cue to head to the sewing room or take a bubble bath. I'm with you on the car shows and Longmire, but DH and I both love Justified! Great characters, and it's so funny. You might actually like that one.

LOL on this thread.
My husband THRIVES on music shows.........bluegrass to be exact. I can bear some of it, but often I go upstairs. He records them and watches as he can.
He LOVES golf on the weekend. gag! BORING
I, OTOH, like the history channel and documentaries and "behind the scenes" "rest of the story" shows...and the British comedies.
We both like Forensic Files and Snapped.
Fortunately we have 2 TVs.
