I'm just back from vacation Welcome back. Looks like your vacation was a lot of fun, but I bet you're happy to be warm now. Had a great time LisaDV but it was pretty cold! Happy to be back in the sunshine

Still on track. I won't be scrapping today. I WILL be printing photos, visiting a LSS, and having supper with a scrappy friend!
This morning I popped the last two Christmas pages I finished yesterday into my album without photographing them. Definitely need to split that binder into two: one for general winter and one for Christmas. Thinking I have 2 or 3 double pagers to finish for Christmas.
Not sure if I will stop then and store away my Christmas hoard, or follow my usual MO: scrap till stuff starts sliding off the counters &/or I can't find a thing I am looking for. Hmmm... With the critical mass of scrap crap accumulating all around this room, I am thinking those two events may just coincide...

I've got a 4 day weekend coming so I plan on getting something done. I think I better concentrate on the Christmas and December photos. Then get DD's convocation pics from October scrapped and print pics for my daily walk album.
LOL! Who am I kidding!?! I'll be happy if I get one thing on that list accomplished this weekend! But it's good to have goals...right??

well...had to take a scrapping break and accomplish some other things - sewing a fitted table cover for the GS cookie booth; Girl Scout planning for Thinking Day (wow - that's a lot of work!), prepping swaps (175!!), housework, meetings (including an IEP for my youngest - she's speech impaired and gifted)....
and I had to clear everything OFF my scrapbook table in order to test fit the table cover (the cookie booth tables are the same size but already at the cookie mum's house) so that's been cleaned and dusted and put back together.
I'm back to scrapping today - had hoped to finish up January but realised I still need to print a couple of photos - I'll order those tomorrow and pick up when I buy groceries in the evening. It'll be Sunday before I can scrap them though as I need to make displays for the cookie booths and then we have the first ones this weekend!

I love it but I am so glad we are done! I did the same, making decorations based on the theme the girls deemed "baking up some fun". They were little chefs with homemade chef hats/aprons/whisks etc and we did some posterboards with those and advertising the donations to the troops. It was a huge success! Good luck! Save

crystalb - wow - fall cookies! that's early but I can see how it would be nice to be done with them - your theme sounds awesome - we're just going with a general GS cookie theme...Thinking Day is zapping all my creativity and energy...any ideas on an easy, inexpensive food from South Africa? We need samples for 175 - yikes!

It's so fun and inspiring to read about (and see) what everyone is creating this month.
My not-yet-midmonth report: 50 thank you cards completed so far (5 designs, 10 cards each). One more design to go and I can switch over to kids' birthday cards. But my real accomplishment for the month are the 2 layouts I made for my February traveler's notebook. I had posted earlier that my CD TNs were going half unused and I wanted to change that this month. The stories I'm telling in the layouts are simple and small but I'm so happy to have 2 recorded so far this month.

Today I scrapped a couple of current pictures and redid an old layout of DD when she was a baby. I'm actually really looking forward to redoing some of those old layouts because it seems like my first layouts were more like decorated pictures. I didn't do much journaling so I'm excited about adding some.

And, ... my 2015 album is done!
2014 is going to take a lot more time, and I kinda want to get started on it but I also kinda want to take a break from scrapping and just work on getting my scrap space better organized. I still have boxes of craft stuff in my basement from when we moved into this house over 2 years ago. Yes, I think scrapping is going to have to wait.
I have another fun project ahead of me though. Over the course of a few years, I saved up a bunch of big plastic jars from the nuts that I'd buy from Target, maybe 2 dozen? The labels won't come off, so I'm going to paint the labels black and throw some tags on them. They hold all kinds of miscellaneous craft stuff from glue sticks to Prima flowers. They look pretty obnoxious right now, but painting the labels should help a lot. I'll post a photo if I ever finish!

I haven't made them, but if you get your troop to help you should be able to knock them out pretty quick. Good luck!

I have a confession to make. When I said I finished my Disney album that was only about 95% true. When I chose pictures and ordered them I completely forgot about that last single page layout. I planned on doing a grid layout using 2" pictures but never chose them. I ordered them in my last Snapfish order. I scrapped that layout today and it was so good to slip that final page into the album.
Now if only I could get myself to cut 'Disney 2016' on my Cameo for that little window on the front of the album I'd really be 100% finished.
I got about 150 pictures in that Snapfish ordered so I have plenty to keep me busy for a while.

One more page today: not a Christmas page, and it felt good to play with other supplies! Took a little longer than most because I did some fussy cutting (if you can call cutting triangles with an xacto knife fussy cutting). Dd and the little guy are coming here for the weekend in the morning, so I won't be doing much crafting, unless I can get him interested in sitting still long enough to make his mom a valentine. So it will probably be Monday before I start scrapping again. I will need to make a Valentine for dh, and a bd card for a dgs, but should be able to turn out a couple of pages that have been planned for 2 days now, just stalled on my counter. Yes, Elsabelle, it is finishing projects that seems to take so much time and energy. Just a few more Christmas pages for me, and a cover page and an end page... Soon!

Going to work on July 2016 next I think after I do a couple of quick pages from Feb 2017...

I've added one more double page to my older project and a quick single page to an even older project in the last couple of days. This brings my total for the month to seven pages so I'm only one page away from my goal of eight pages for the month.

I did two layouts and a Valentine card today. My productivity will be less going forward. I interviewed for a job Thursday morning and they offered me the position during the interview. I start this Monday. I had a great 3+month break and got lots of layouts done, I will now probably just be a weekend scrapper going forward. This job will be considerably less stressful than my previous job, so I should have energy to continue my crafting.

Ok the scrap area is clean. I am embarrassed by how much I have "collected" without making pages.

seveerb congats on the new role! @anmore I'm right there on the embarrassed bench. Although I've still been creating pages I have collected way more than I am used to having or am really productive with. I'm not a super fast scrapper but anything I make is a step in the right direction (as long as I remember to slow down on the shopping!).

And I've hit my target for eight layouts. I'm playing in a 2011 vacation album that is super simple and flat (it's in a ring bound album with no page protectors) and I'm enjoying how quickly the layouts can come together.

I went to a crop Friday night and Saturday. I had a goal to scrap all my 'current' photos by now, but I came up far short. Friday night all I did was organize into piles and I did about 3 layouts.
Saturday I spent an unusual amount of time socializing. Very uncommon for me. I did get about 21 layouts done, and put them in their albums. I finished my NYC trip with my son - I think I had like 24 pages for a one day trip! But it was a bucket list trip and I had fun doing those layouts!
So next week is a 3 day retreat. I was planning to start a new project but I have so many current photos left to scrap. My choice is go ahead and start the new project and work on the current photos at upcoming crops, or just get them out of the way at this retreat.
