I am eating a bowl, and not only are the colors less vibrant, but they don't have as much flavor as I remember either. Is it just me?

Well, I know they took the malt flavor out of regular Cheerios to make them gluten-free. Perhaps they're using natural dyes instead of chemicals? Less sugar?

People actually eat those? Do they know that Froot Loops exist? (I'm kidding. Mostly.)

Did they switch to all natural flavor? I don't eat Fruity Cheerios, but I know other cereals have switched over to natural flavor ( and now I can't eat them due to allergies!) and my husband has said they taste funny.
Removing the malt could do it too, malt adds a lot of flavor.

They did come out with another fruit version-- Very Berry or something. I have only seen them in one store so far. Maybe if you find and try those, trollie, they will taste more like you remember fruity cheerios tasting.
