...post thoroughly disgusting pictures on Facebook. Pictures like your sutures, or broken bones or distorted bones, bloody knees, gross teeth issues or even creepy moles and growths.
If this is you, please, for the love of all that is good and holy, tell me WHY. Why on earth do you think anyone could possibly be interesting in your gross and disgusting stuff?

I'd like to know the answer to this, as well as why people also feel the need to repost someone else's gross pics?

I'd like to know the answer to this, as well as why people also feel the need to repost someone else's gross pics? "PHEEW!!! That really stinks. Here - smell this. It's really gross." Probably the same reason guys do that.

I am feeling justified, thank you. Today alone, I saw someone's fresh stitches (quickly blocked) and another's mom's broken foot and hand and they were swollen and purple. UGH. I just feel anger and annoyance when I see these and I cannot think why someone would feel the need to post!!

Oh, Instagram is the same as I discovered this morning, when my son showed me a picture of a hand with all the fingers sliced almost all the way through.
ETA: But no, I'm not guilty of posting that kind of thing.

I don't. My mother has posted pictures of her sutures from knee surgery and recently, her toe.
Another friend posts pictures of her son's kills.
No thank you.

What I find worse is the animal abuse pictures. But no, I keep my medical stuff private.

Gah, my FIL does this.
He broke his toe and felt the need to post a photo of his black swollen foot. Who the f*ck wants to see that?!
But he's got the attitude of a toddler who loves attention and sulks when things don't go his way. 😳

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I'm just as annoyed by the people who describe their injuries in great detail. A person on my feed described their ear zit and what a relief it was when it popped in Kroger. So gross.

I work with docs and nurses, so this is a daily thing for me, and it bothers me not.

I hate that, too! And no, I don't do it. It's so nasty to be scrolling through my feed and see a photo of someone's infected toenail. Keep that crap to yourself.

Oozing and goozing no. Broken yes, done that and had a few stitches but it's usually after things are 'put back together' and cleaned up. Other things mentioned no.

I stopped following a friend after her numerous photos of her foot that hasn't healed in well over 5 years. I do think for some people who work in the medical field, it's no big deal.
I know there are peas who freak out when they see photos of spiders or snakes. Those wouldn't bother me.

Doesn't bother me, that's why scroll was invented. I have PTSD like symptoms towards many medical things and personally hate them without warning though.

those kind of pics don't belong on fb, or any other social media, imho. I don't need to see it, and don't want to see it.

That would be me. Im pretty sure i posted a picture on facebook of DH after he had surgery for Dupuytren's contracture. 34 stitches in a very nice lightening bolt pattern from his pinkie to his palm. Why? Because family and friends wanted to see why he had surgery and we live far from most of them.

Guilty. I posted a picture of my head injury when I stepped on a baby toy and about killed myself! I also posted it here. Sorry!
ETA: I did wait until after they stapled me up to post the picture. No gaping wound!
