I decided to start a new thread for March...I like knowing I have completed my February Freeze and now I am ready to start new!
Who's going to be frozen this month? I pretty much blew it last month with an unplanned order to Paper Issues, but this month I am back in the saddle and ready to tackle this!
As always, for me, I will be getting my Felicity Jane kit.

I'm frozen for the month. I had some planned purchases for February so I'm good and stocked up. I quit all my subs so I decided every couple months or so I'll pick out some goodies. I didn't like paying for things I didn't enjoy. This works best for me, and I'm much happier picking out my own things

I'm in starting...now (I picked up a few things at Joanns today - album, cardstock and ink). I plan to cancel my KP kit (forgot to do it by the deadline last month), and I'll get my Gossamer Blue kit.
I want to focus on using up some stash!

All I'm planning to spend money on this month is some photo developing.

My aim is to be frozen, apart from my CD kit.

My plan will be to be frozen aside from my Freckled Fawn kit...we'll see if I can make it through this month. (I made it through February) and then immediately on the first of March made a smallish purchase...sigh. I will try yo finish out this month without buying.

I had a great February, but yesterday I slipped up and bought some Distress Oxide. But from now on, I intend to stay frozen for the rest of the month.

I'm trying really hard to be completely frozen this month, except ordering photos.
Towards the end of February, I spent about $28 altogether on scrap related purchases. That includes the sterilite drawers to hold stamps and a photo order, plus a bunch of discounted clearance goodies at M's.
This month I need to prioritize other expenses, so I don't want to spend on my hobby.

I'm in except for my Hip Kit. I did do some shopping in February. But I spent less overall than I have in the past. For me that is the goal.

I'm not frozen so I'm basically interloping on this thread, but I need to be so I'm looking for ideas. I wonder if it would be an idea instead of buying new things to basically rak each other with stuff we have but don't want anymore. For me part of needing to shop is to find that thing I don't have, or to get a great deal. Recently iheartpaper sent me an envelope of globes and I thought I had hit the jackpot. What if we posted things we have to send, someone speaks up for it, then that person offers something, or something like that? Just a thought. It would be the cost of postage but might be better than what we would spend shopping online or in the store.

I didn't plan it this way but I am able to stay frozen for hopefully another month because the place I ordered my planner supplies from Doodlebug from hasn't had her stuff shipped to her yet. It could be April before I get it all. I am not upset by this. It just means I can go another month without shopping. Yay! This is good news for me.

I am still on that original 3 month kit subscription I started in January but March will be the final kit. I think I will join the freeze in April to ensure that I use up some of these kits.

I already broke my freeze. But I can explain!! I just visited a new dollar store today for the first time. They. Have. A. Craft. Aisle! So much scrappy goodness! I spent $12 total on scrap stuff. Really no regrets. Five packs of sequins (yes, I know I didn't need them. But the colors!) Four packs of chipboard alphabets. Two in black. Two in white. A pack of pop-dots. A pack of St. Patrick's Day confetti (gold & green shamrocks, top hats, coins, etc) And a pack of corrugated cardstock. I could have easily dropped $50 there. The stickers. The rhinestones. Alpha sets. Stamps. Adhesives. Oh My! Oh, it was a Dollar Zone, for anyone who wants to know. So, that's my confession.

I'm probably frozen for the next 6 months at least. I have so much stuff that I haven't used and I really need to use what I have before I can justify buying new goodies.

After having finished the month of February with my life taken over by work and unexpected travel (and a nasty cold), I've remained frozen. So incredibly frozen. It'll never be summer again! And I'm not even missing not buying stuff. What's happening? All I bought recently are a new set of color ink and paper set for my Selphy and some adhesive. Pure essentials. So, after so many long days working and being away (for work, gah, my life is so interesting at the moment), I can finally just sit on the floor at my coffee table and update my PL album with the few pictures I took that are worth making it in there. I'm just grinning with joy at the sight of those few moments printed out (including a cat in a bunny ear hat ), my glass of wine and the idea of finally getting busy with some much needed scrap action. This feels just right. *lifts glass* Cheers everyone! May you find some time to have a date night with your scrappy goods this weekend... Attachments:

sleepingbooty that cat photo is adorable. I would totally do that to my cats if I didn't think they'd tear me to shreds in the process. I intend to make one purchase this month for some of the new CHA things. Surprisingly I am finding it very difficult to push the buy button on my cart - I keep questioning whether I really need it.

The enabling threads are a little hard for me, so I'm heading down to my scraproom to check out all the embellies I already have:)

I'm totally in. I was frozen in January. I thawed a tiny bit in February. Now I have given up scrappy shopping (really all discretionary spending) for Lent, so let's do this! Thanks for starting the thread, mom

Another day of no scrappy spending for me...but I did drop some $$ on getting a ship lap wall in my bedroom and a new door for my studio. Sign. No room in my budget this month for scrappy goodness while we work on the house.

Nothing for me so far this month. I'm determined to stay strong because I've decided I want to redo the rose bed at the front of my house. That means putting aside a couple of thousand dollars because I don't want to me the one digging everything up, replacing the soil and replanting

sleepingbooty that cat photo is adorable. I would totally do that to my cats if I didn't think they'd tear me to shreds in the process. We definitely carefully selected which kitty would be the cat in the hat. It was a matter of having the hat on her head and having the photos shot in under 60 seconds before she'd start fighting the laws of hatity... We took her outside, gave her a treat, put on the hat, distracted her with another treat. I had my camera ready to shoot in one hand and immediately went at it. Less than a minute later, we had taken the hat off her head and she was throwing us some serious shade side-eye (another cat treat helped mend the peace though). All three of us survived! Your kitty is adorable. I have the Selphy too and I love it. Aww, thanks. I'll let her know. She's only my kitty by proxy though, she totally is my mother's favourite daughter. I love the Selphy too! So easy and quick. I know it doesn't have the greatest rep' in the SB world because the PM-400 beats it but I'm still very happy with mine and love the result of the dye-sub printing as well as the protective layer on top of the photo. No smudges, no water damage! mariejo Welcome back to scrapping! I hope you soon make a good dent in your stash and can justify getting some new stuff eventually... mom anniefb It looks like house projects are keeping a lot of us busy and on our scrappy spending toes. I don't want to be spending unnecessarily either because it looks like we might need to do some big spending on a fridge soon too if we don't manage to fix it. C'est la vie, right? (Althought I'd much rather be dreaming of rose beds!)

That means putting aside a couple of thousand dollars because I don't want to me the one digging everything up, replacing the soil and replanting Ugh. I feel your pain. We are trying to finish up our home renovations before my sons Graduation in May. Some of it we can do ourselves but man. I do not want to do all the flower beds and to have someone get them 'ready' to plant is expensive. But I dont want to do it - I just like to plant.

Another frozen pea due to outdoor projects. I need mulch this year. I usually do mulch 2 years in a row and then take a year off. 2016 was my year off and the flower beds need it badly. I have to pay to have it done - there's no way I can handle 22 cu. yards myself. So I'm saving.
I mentioned on the last frozen thread that I would need adhesive this month. I found a good deal online and placed a very large order. Hopefully it will last me for at least 3 heavy use months.

I'm another one saving for home projects..redoing 2 bathrooms, fixing the Cedar siding, enlarging the pond, plus the fruit and veggies gardens. We are doing it all ourselves, couldn't afford it otherwise. I will be frozen for a while..lol

We managed to (at least temporarily) fix our under-counter fridge. Hallelujah! Praise our engineer friend who likes to get stuck into electrics (can he fix it? yes, he can!)... And the money saved (at least temporarily) didn't go to anything scrappy. We've decided on our next trip and are getting a few house plants (which I will try my hardest not to kill this time around).
Also, I got my watercolours out today and thought of painting some backgrounds to use in my album this year. Not spending is fun because you reach a certain point after a while when your creativity kicks in differently. It's really been a nice journey so far!

I'm not really frozen, but I made a decision a long time ago that I wouldn't overspend on this hobby (no cutting system or any special tools.) There are college tuitions to pay for, and youngest DD starts braces next week (I hope she lets me take a picture) I'm pretty happy today because I made a 4 page spread using only cardstock and mats, and, this is the best part, one pack of 99 cent Target stickers split between all 4 pages. It's a clean minimalist look, and I'm happy with it
