Are we talking about this yet? Just glanced through the first 2 pages of threads and didn't see one... unless I am blind... which is entirely possible Thoughts? It feels like an unusual combination of vintage methods with modern products. Like the old school post bound albums where you worked right on the pages (or even early CM albums), but with the handful of newer products that require no scissors or adhesive. My first thought was that she was trying to undercut Becky's reinvention of simple scrapbooking if you will (or at least her market dominance if we want to debate who owns the pocket scrapping idea), but it does have a distinctly different feel to me. I don't see if being a good fit for my stories or approach to memory keeping in this season of my life. But an interesting thing to consider when my kids are a bit older, all in school, and our memories become more event based. I could also see this being a fun project to do with kids (thinking even early elementary age) to capture what is significant to them through their eyes.

I tracked down this Facebook live video she did after seeing Ali reference it on my IG feed.

It's just a pretty CM style, to me. HATE post bound albums, now, so I would not be buying those, no matter how cute the cover is. Just not for me.

Maybe this would be the offspring if CM and PL had a baby? Post bound always seemed like a huge PITA to me, but I suppose you wouldn't ever undo and add to these theoretically (seems like it is a complete album as is from her video). Guess I could see the draw for being a space saver... wonder why she chose that since she said it was her first time doing post bound?

I hadn't heard of this until now. It does have a nice clean look.
I won't be buying it because my scrapbooking process is working for me. My layouts already tend to focus on the pictures and I'm happy where I'm at.
I could see this system getting new people interested in scrapping. I could also see using it for a particular project like a gift album. As an alternative to a photo book.

While I do like some of the designs of the albums, I will never go back to post bound.

Based on the IG stuff i've seen, she has both ring albums and post bound. In case anyone liked it...but was turned off by all the mention of post bound.

I absolutely LOVE the Life is Beautiful album, and I actually could see myself using a post bound album if it were for a contained number of photos, but I agree with AmandaA...this is definitely the love child of CM and PL. I would buy the album if it went on sale, and I might buy some of the accessory sets, but I would not likely scrap this way as lovely as her pages look.

Hadn't heard of this but it doesn't really appeal. I prefer D ring albums to post bound, though I still am using a couple of old CM albums for scrapping vacation photos. I just slot pages under the protectors without sticking them down so it's easy to move them around.

This is the first that I have heard of this line as well, love the idea of making it about the photos and the stories. I have been reassessing the way that I scrapbook and the type of stories that I document and this is perfect for that however as mom said, I will never go back to postbound albums.

Here's another person whose handwriting I'm tired of (Ali being the other). And the flowers and stuff just don't appeal to me.

I like what I have seen on Insta, but I have not had a chance to go check it out in person. I like the leaf album, and the 8.5x11 size, which is my size. It seems like it would be cool to document a trip or one event, even though I generally do chronological scrapbooking.
I always like Heidi's products, they are generally good quality and versatile, so will def check it out.

I accidentally came across it last night at Michaels and I grabbed the 8.5x11 leaf album (it has rings) for my vacation to Florida last year. I've had all of my photos printed off for about 9 months and I simply do not have the time to do pocket pages and filler cards this time around. I do like that I can simply glue, lightly embellish, journal, and be done with it. And if I have some spare time I can always use a few pocket pages in the album.
While this seems so fun and easy, everything from this line is overpriced.

I just bought the gray Adventure album with a 60% off Jo Ann's coupon. So happy that Mike's takes other store coupons! The album is post bound, but it seems well made. I bought it because one of my DDs went to London last week and took a ton of pictures, so this album will be perfect!

I absolutely LOVE the Life is Beautiful album I do too. I love the album but would want to use my own cardstock backgrounds, not her pages. Just saw frenchie bought one of the postbound albums. Anyone else and do you like it?

Hmmm...her talking about 1 story a week, sounds appealing to me AND do-able if I did it with just her system and barely anything else. No scissors, no adhesive? Yes!
What trips me up on these long, over time projects, is when I take something that is supposed to be simple and start adding more of my own stuff to make it "better." And then I don't finish. I might consider this if I find the 3 ring albums.

I bought a book to do a vacation in the travel scrapbook. I'm excited about the simplicity of it!

I just watched bits of a Fbk Live video on YouTube (had to fast forward through a lot of it because I hate vertical video, it was really low quality, she kept walking out of frame, all the things I hate about amateur video) and although I could see the appeal, for most of us who scrapbook already there isn't much there (except pretty albums and boxes of coordinated embellishments). If you want to go back to basics, you could just print your photos, stick them on white (or colored!) paper, add the basic details in one corner, add some stickers (hers or others) and slip them into an album, and you have the same thing.
The thing is though, I think a lot of us think we want something simple, but then we add lots of extra elements or expectations that actually make it complicated. Look at how Project Life mutated from the idea of a photo a day + a quick handwritten story on a card...
For people who have never done scrapbooking before I can see how it would be a fun way to get started, and would take a lot of the decision making/blank page anxiety out of it. I could definitely see it appealing to the people who don't feel like they are creative or crafty.
I don't have the same hatred of post bound as most people here. I totally get why they're annoying and not very functional (I've spent many an hour screwing extenders in and trying to rearrange pages!) BUT they're much smaller albums when you're starting out in 12x12". I have an old house with built in bookshelves and my post bound 12" albums just fit on them. A giant ring bound album wouldn't fit on any shelf I have. So I think maybe they were going with ring binders in Letter size for the feeling of familiarity for the average person - they used that in school, it's not too big. But for the 12" square albums I think the ring-bound albums would scare off a lot of beginners/young people. They're just so ungainly. TBH I have never been able to bring myself to buy one - the hugeness of it just turns me off. I don't want to store anything that big and I don't want to handle anything that big to look through my photos. (Just a theory as to why they made that choice.)

I'm intrigued by this - it would be great for a vacation album; something that I'd want to churn out quickly. I can also see it as being really appealing to new scrappers - I'm thinking of a few family members who either work full time and have small children, but especially for my niece who is about to have her first baby.
I have mixed feelings about post-bound. I like the way the pages lie flat when open, and there's no big space in the middle - good for 2 page spreads. However, adding pages is a pain - but you'd probably only have to do that once, so its not that big a deal.
I still love all of my supplies and am getting into mixed media on my pages, so I'd only use this for quick albums, like I said.

These quick systems never work for me, because I can't just let it be! Otherwise I love the idea! Flu image on one story a week should be doable.

How is this different from Project Life? doesn't look like it IS different, in my opinion... just her own branded version of it.

How is this different from Project Life? You are sticking your stuff to a full background paper instead of sliding cards and photos into slots in a page protector.

ahhh- so it's more like the Creative Memories "Fast 2 Fab" albums. Those albums have pre-printed pages so all you need to do is stick down your photos. Or you can add more embellishments, etc. to the pages if you want, of course.
Didn't someone a few days ago post about a Recollections paper pad that also had pre-designed /finished pages, so they only needed photos?

I gave in and listened to the Scrap Gals while on a 8 hour drive today (feel free to judge me, I'm judging myself ). TC was as annoying as ever, but they interviewed Hedi about the storyline products. I hadn't heard of it. She said basically Michaels approached her about creating something to get people into scrapbooking because sales are down for scrapbooking stuff and this is the concept she came up with. The other thing that really stood out to me is they discussed the post-bound album thing and she said 80% of Michael's album sales are post-bound albums. That blew me away. I didn't even know that was still a thing. I did my very first album back in 2003 post-bound and haven't done any that way since (although I took several years off from scraping, so I may not be the best example). Out of complete curiosity, I'd love to know the stats on what is selling in the scrappy world.

that might be because they don't HAVE hardly any D-ring albums in stock, in comparison to the (stupid, in my opinion) post-bound ones. They have something like 10-15 colors of albums, and out of them, I only saw maybe 5 TOTAL D-ring albums when I was there just today. The post-bound ones are cheaper, too-- naturally-- they're not as complicated as a D-ring mechanism. I have to think the post-bound albums are being bought by people who really haven't ever scrapbooked before, and don't know what a pain post-bound ones can be.
(I do know that some people really DON'T like the gap between the pages in a D-ring album, but it's never bothered me.)

I bought two of the 8.5x11 D-ring albums and some of the journaling stickers. I didn't use the inserts that were in the album. The page protectors are awesome. They are more like the we r memory keepers brand. I like the journaling stickers a lot and I plan on buying more of those. The products are great but I don't use them as they are designed to be used.

Like she had trouble getting her thoughts out? There were a lot of odd pauses.
