Is this wishful thinking or someone with an agenda? Seems there'd be more confirmation if things were pulled or lawsuits settled.

I have still not heard anything from the lawyers she has threatened me with. This is what I made after just seeing an image of it on line. www.scrapbook.com/galleries/155177/view/5303943/-1/0/0.html. One could be easily made of plywood, a hinge, and a sheet of poly. I would invite anybody to make their own. It's not rocket science. I made it with 5 pieces of plastic, a plastic piano hinge, and some glue. All for a cost of $18.67 incl. tax. I just bought a Hampton Art at HL for about $12, so except for the pride of making my own, I guess there is no point. At least now we all have an idea of the true worth of the tools. I still think the best positioner out there is the Letterpress with the floating hinge. Don what she did to you and another elderly lady I know are the reasons why I will never buy a Misti. The other lady didn't make a stamp press she only had a cracked plate and the Misti owner ripped her a new one for bringing it up. All the lady wanted was some help. I am still stunned that people can take up for her atrocious behavior.

It does seem odd, she is pretty quick to threaten lawsuits, but has she actually followed through? I just don't see how she could get a patent on something that is so similar to the letterpress system. I love that she tried to patent the color too, random fact Coca Cola spent their early years suing just about anyone they could for everything from using the word "Cola", a swirly font, and Carmel coloring, amongst many other ridiculous similarities. They put may soda companies out of business just because they didn't want to fight.

They are taking the high road rather than fighting with this crazy lady.

You know, I made my own with 2 8x8 acrylic pages from an album set up. E-6000 glue, a couple of hinges, the WRMK magnetic mat that I got from TM for $4.99. DONE! My own stamper. Now, since then I have purchased the HA and the WRMK stamp positioners. I am happy with both of them. I had thought of buying the new corner things that just came out. BUT again, I know these can be made on my own. I refuse to give the woman who "invented" the MISTI any money! Her rudeness and the way she handled all of her PR, threats, etc just hit me wrong. Nope, not gonna give her a red cent.

Kind of OT, but this whole sicking lawyers on people thing has me wondering if that's why no one else has done 9x12 albums. I mean, can you REALLY trademark or patent DIMENSIONS? This is why BH was kind of screwed when competition arose...hard to say no one else can make 3x4 or 4x6 cards (and if she won, they could just make entire lines of cut aparts...Simple Stories was doing that before she ran with the concept of PL...something that wasn't a unique idea, just well marketed). With how many people out there begging for 9x12, I'm really disappointed and shocked that not a single competitor has bitten. Especially AC since THEY did the manufacturing for SC's and 7P's retail line (the 9x12 retail stuff never really saw the light of day in the states, but it can still be found in other countries), but Simple Stories and Echo Park both do albums as well and Echo Park is relatively new at it, so it wouldn't have been any harder to just include another option while they were at it. At the very least, I want Page Protectors. I don't use 9x12 albums and can't see myself opting to use more albums every year just to make smaller pages, but I love 9x12 PP as inserts instead of always using Design H.

I love that she tried to patent the color too, Pffftttt.....I'd rather have a neutral color than pink.

I'm pretty ticked off. I bought the Stampoholic a while back. Had I known it was put out by My Sweet Petunia I never would have purchased it. I'd read that thread where the owner was threatening to sue people as well as some of the Peas' comments about poor customer service and I wouldn't by the MISTI for those reasons. Now I'm wondering if the Stampoholic will have the same problems the MISTI has with plates cracking. I might just go ahead and order the Tim Holtz tool just to be on the safe side, especially if it ends up being recalled and there is nothing else out there.

I don't believe there was a lawsuit. The patent was issued yesterday. A lawsuit would not have any leg to stand on without a patent.

It is. It's from when the stampoholic first came out and my sweet petunia was making threats to the die cuts and more (who makes the stampoholic) company.

I'm amazed she able to get a patent. Same here. Wonder if it'll be like the spellbinders patent for open dies that was later revoked?

I have the Stampaholic but I bought the HA Stamp Press on my lunch hour today to keep as a spare after I saw this video => HA Stamp Perfect RecallTEXT of Video Published on Mar 22, 2017 If any viewers know of any retailers (online or otherwise) that still have the Stamp Perfect for sale, please add a comment below so we can help our friends who haven't gotten one. Hopefully they might possibly find one as well. I got a message from a subscriber, Dena, who told me that HallmarkScrapbook.com sent her an email that said that the WeRMemoryKeeper and Hampton Arts Stamp Perfect stamping tools were not being sold within the US going forward as there is a recall on the products. The recall has to do with a patent infringement. I spoke to Hampton Arts and they said their products have been recalled from retailers. I did check with online and local retailers and couldn't find any major retailers still selling the Hampton Arts Stamp Perfect. I did not check on the WRMK tool as my concern was with the Stamp Perfect.. I did find Stamp Perfect's still available on Etsy and Ebay, and believe some small craft retailers may still have them. I also spoke to Acherryontop.com and although they currently do not have any Stamp Perfects in stock, they believe they can still acquire some if orders are placed. They said they would remove the Stamp Perfect from their website when it is no longer available. I tried to get more information from them as whether they are absolutely certain if they can get the Stamp perfect, but the woman I spoke with, reiterated that as long as the tool is on their website, they should still be able to get them. Ebay, Etsy and Amazon have them as well. Please check the comments below as our viewers are adding where they have found them as well. I'm sorry about this situation as I really felt this was a terrific tool for viewers, especially at the price it is being sold for.

Well at the very least we learned that this tool can be sold for a fraction of the price that the MISTI lady is charging for it.

I saw some at HL, last Friday on 3-17 priced at 29.99.... I just looked on the United States Patent office with the patent # 9597909 (USPTO site link) and it said that Myska "received" (but not sure if this is what that date means, just a date on the page) patent on 3-21-2017, filed on 1-13-2015. Just what I found... interesting...

What woman? If you bought a MISTI you gave Iliana (owner of my sweet petunia) money. If you bought the stampoholic you gave Mansi Gupta Sharma (owner of die cuts and more) money.
