I thought of you guys while I was out shopping today - I saw flamingo bedsheets and a flamingo throw pillow! OMG! Please tell me where you saw these.

I don't love them, but as random motifs go they're not the worst. I would actually sooner use either than glasses or mustaches. Yep, this. Amen ~

Sur La Table catalog that arrived yesterday. ETA: they also have pineapple drink set, a giant glass pineapple beverage jar, pineapple jar candle, tiki ice pop molds, flamingo silicon spatula, pineapple cake pan. They also have a Staub cast iron dutch oven with an awesome rooster on the lid. They are calling it a "Rooster Oven" and I want one.

If it's the knob of the Staub Dutch oven that is the rooster you're referring to, Staub sells these (as well as a few other traditionally eaten in France animals such as a garden snail and a cute leaping rabbit) separately. You can just update your good ol' Staub with one for the fraction of the price of a new Dutch oven. No flamingo knobs though...

HomeGoods had many flamingos and pineapples when I stopped in today. Llamas were also present and I'm noticing a few dachshunds here and there. Perhaps they are ascendant

joblackfordThank you. Both a good friend and I really like flamingos. If I can find these it'll be the perfect birthday gift.

All the talk of loving flamingos makes me chuckle. I've never particularly liked them. Maybe too many yard flamingo sightings as a child.
And why all the flamingo love while we despise the darling vulture?

If I could only figure out how to post a picture, I would show you my DD being kissed by a llama, and her reading a book to a llama, when she was an intern at the zoo I get very excited when I see llama embellishments! When we were at M's the other day for the raskog type cart, they had the cutest llama embellies on it. My kids love llamas. I wish I would've picked some up!

And why all the flamingo love while we despise the darling vulture? I could actually use a pack of vulture stickers. Once I came home to find a turkey vulture sitting on top of my house. And another time there was one at the end of my driveway chowing down on a possum, preventing DD from getting to the bus stop. It was bigger than she was, not even including the wings, so we waited until the bus came an scared it away and we made a run for the bus! I don't have photos for either of these events, but please, if someone in the industry is reading this, PLEASE DON'T. I'll make do without.

And why all the flamingo love while we despise the darling vulture? The vulture has a bald head because it picks up too much bacteria from putting its own head in dead things that would kill you. The flamingo just pees on itself. I can relate to that after having a few babies.

I do not like theme-y things. No birds, no Disney, no moustaches, pineapples or flamingos for me.

I mentioned earlier about needing to use glasses on a page. I finished the page at the weekend, and am really pleased with how it turned out.
