Especially the cranky part. I so need to get this under control. I think it would make scrapping so much more enjoyable. My June goal is to scrap DS's Junior year for his school album. I also want to do lots of summery things and make sure to take photos and then print them before next summer! Ok, I got on it tonight and ordered photos. It was a pain, but I got it done and I rememebered to check that I wanted matte, not glossy. I ended up with glossy on my last order and they get so fingerprinty and smudgy. Do not like glossy! I've been scrapping some older pictures and they've all been glossy. I keep an old sock in my scrap supplies. I turn it inside out and put my hand in it and wipe down the pictures once they're adhered and I won't be touching them anymore. It helps to remove most of the fingerprints and smudges. I try to make sure I always choose matte now, too. I got a couple of layouts done yesterday. I saw a layout on instagram from Ali Edwards Story Camp and it looked so quick and easy that I wanted to try it. I love how it turned out. I said in an earlier post that I had some outdoor projects to work on while I wait for my pictures to arrive but I've put those off. No surprise there but I have pulled out some pictures and old notes that I jotted down. Stories that I want to tell. Gardening can wait.

So I have no clue if this counts as being productive and making progress or not. I have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of stamp sets. There was once a time where I said I would never get into stamps because they were one trick ponies (and really, to me, they are...I don't have the vision that others have to make each use look unique) and very expensive but I eventually got sucked in and now I buy them like crazy. I hardly ever touch them, however. Last week, I pulled out a PL spread to work on and got it all set up...I have most of the first page done, but the insert and last page are still waiting for me to fill it in. It just wasn't doing it for me, though. This weekend, while going back and forth regarding a stamp sale I wanted to partake in, I felt guilty because I have SO MANY stamp sets already and almost never touch them and figured I could justify the purchase if I went and played with some of them. 95%+ of my stamps have never seen ink, sadly enough. So, I piled up a bunch of stamp sets that were calling to me and sat them down on top of the PL mess already there, cut a sheet of bazzill marshmallow cardstock (that stuff is amazingly thick and absolutely luscious) down to 3x4 pieces and made a few PL cards. I also played with some good basic PTI sets. Then yesterday, I decided to play with a teacher friendly stamp set and my copics (collector, non user of those, too) and started a card since Thursday is the last day of school here. Notice how I didn't say anything had been put away? My desk is a huge pile of crap right now. I need to take a few minutes to tidy it up, because it's pretty ridiculous how bad it looks right now. But at least I'm being crafty, even if I'm not making a full project, lol. This is definitely not how I usually work. I'm avoiding it (even though it's right next to me) like crazy because just thinking about it is too much! That sounds fun! You were inspired by your stamps and got crafty. Now you'll be inspired by your PL cards and make layouts with them!

I also want to do lots of summery things and make sure to take photos and then print them before next summer! This is a great goal to have! I wanna borrow it. We've already done glittery sidewalk chalk and water balloons here (I'm sure we'll do more) but didn't take photos because we were in the moment. I rememebered to check that I wanted matte, not glossy. I ended up with glossy on my last order and they get so fingerprinty and smudgy. Do not like glossy! Hate glossy, love matte. Totally counts!!

I "made" myself scrap last night.
I did two 8.5x11" pages about a playground that I took the younger kids to that we hadn't been to before.
I used two sheets from a 12x12 paper pad that I think I will never be able to get rid of use up. I fussy cut elements out of the pp and pop-dotted them as embellies. And used cut-apart journal spots from the pad too.
Then I decided that I needed to make an effort to use paper flowers that are just sitting in my hoard, and used 20 of them over the 2 pages. Plus some enamel dots.
Right now sitting on my desk are the beginnings of a 12x12 layout about a dance my dd went to at her friend's school. It was pulling teeth to finally get a copy of this picture, and I want it to be scrapped "just right." So of course it's gonna take a million years to finally get it put together.
Right now I have the background 12x12 sheet of patterned paper. I have the cardstock that I will die cut a title from. And maybe punch accent embellies from. I have the star confetti in black, silver, and navy that I will want on the page. And a bunch of enamel dots. Oh, plus a dark blue Nuvo drops and silver Stickles.

I got my big photo order and finished 2 8x8's this week and ready to start on the blue ridge parkway album . I decided I have too many good photos for a 8x8 and I'm thinking I will do a 12x12,though. I found this huge pink mat at Tuesday morning yesterday. I spent my mother's day money on it. 4 of my grandsons came to visit and brought me homemade cards with dollar bills in them. One had folded his into orgami butterflies. I went to sonic, got a cherry lime aide and gave one to the waitress. She was very impressed! They were having huge clearances. I wonder if they're going out of business.

I have completed 11 pages so far this month. 7 of them are on the grad last weekend. Stamped on 5 of them, so I guess that meets that goal. Dgs wants his grad scrapped for the scrapbook I gave him. Have one more page to do. Then I can take those pages to be copied for his book and take the copies to him when we are down there the end of the month.
My goal for the next couple of days--it's been raining so no gardening for a day or two--is to finish that one grad page and to make a bunch of cards: 5 fathers' day cards 1 bd card for my dgd 1 grad card for my niece's dd. 1 congratulations card for a promotion.
Have a few stamps pulled out. I think I also want to work with some embossing folders on the cards.

I've finally made some progress this week and have three layouts finished along with my May month in review pages.

I finished a 12x12 page yesterday. Used 2 stamps, a layered sticker, paper punches, a doily (another one of those supplies that I have a million of but barely use), sequins, 2 different types of star confetti, Stickles, two chipboard shapes, enamel dots, & foam Thickers.
I started on birthday layouts. I'm mostly finished the first one. Used Basic Grey rub-ons (love those!!) Have two more to go that all I know is that I will use more rub-ons on.
Yesterday I got my May photos delivered. I'm looking forward to scrapping my recent zoo pics, but don't want to rush it. I have PL cards (that I bought years ago, before I had zoo pics to scrap) to use on those layouts as embellishments, journalling spots, etc.
I'm definitely liking using my stash, and refusing to buy new supplies. I would like to get to a point where I need more supplies, but I think that will take quite awhile.

I can see about getting the pages copied and get most of the cards in the mail early this next week. Yay me! Still need: a grad card, a congratulations on promotion, and a wedding card for next weekend (forgot about that one earlier).

And I have another three finished today. I now have only one page left to do in a project album I started two years ago. It's an exciting feeling being this close to the finish line!
It's still reasonably early here so I'm going to try for one more page tonight.

I just read through everyone's goals for the month and realized I hadn't put mine together. This is one month I think I might actually achieve them. (OK, now I've just doomed myself!)
1) Replenish stash of thank you cards (4 designs x 8) 2) Mail box of 20 cards to this month's Ronald McDonald House 3) Create cards for this month's Cards for a Cause 4) Mail box of 20 cards to Cards for a Cause 5) Use this month's CD Daisy Dori as a page-a-day memory keeper. I've taken photos every day so far and even have most of the layouts for the first 2 days done. This could happen this month.

Sound like everyone is making progress. 👍🏻 I'm going turtle pace slow, but did make a start on my patriotic banner. I have the i in America. So I created 2 different rosettes yesterday. I want to try a couple of different things before finally committing. Maybe tomorrow.

But the wedding card is done: wedding window card by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Still need one grad card and one Congrats on a promotion. Must have both done by Tuesday.

I'm working on my craft space today, getting everybody else's stuff OUT of here.
It's a wreck right now, but I have the time to devote to it, and it's going to get done.
Now, if I could just get rid of these darn hiccups, I could move that much faster on it.

I retired June 1 & have so many projects I want to tackle but so far I finished 2 albums 2014 & 2015 ( yes I mostly scrap chronologically.) I had almost finished them at a crop I went to in Early May, but there were a few pages left & then I got them into albums. I need to do some cards- upcoming birthdays & then get ready for a retreat in August where I need to bring ATC cards which I have never done before. Unfortunately DH has really wanted to whip our porch area & gardens into shape so we have been busy with that. I need a rainy day!

Last night I finished another birthday layout. I used scraps to cut 2" squares, that I then inked and laid on the page in a grid-like fashion. I also used all but one sticker from a sheet I bought for this layout.
I also chose all the background papers for the recent zoo trip we took. I sorted all the photos by animal, then put photos, PL zoo cards, and background paper all together. Now I just need to go page by page and put them together, journal, and embellish. But it's not so overwhelming anymore. And I'm really looking forward to it.

Finished a 2 pager this morning. Have the grad card done.
Hoping to get the congrats card done Tuesday morning. I had a plan, but now I can't find any of the Canada Day papers I wanted to use. They are all in the same place, I am sure, but I have yet to locate that place...
Gave up and started looking for a small maple leaf stamp I was sure I own. Nope. Can't find it either. Prob hiding with its friends...
I have a Plan C in mind and actually found what I needed for that, so I should be good to start in the morning.

I have 9 zoo layout pages sitting on my desk, waiting for me to embellish them.
And that's where I'm stuck. in my head I'm saying:
Do I want to confetti & sequin sprinkle them? Meh, doesn't really scream "zoo" to me.
Enamel dots? Eh, maybe. But it still will need more.
Do I have zoo-related stickers? Nope. And I already used the zoo PL cards on these layouts.
I used a couple of hearts on the first layout. I don't want to make that my go to theme through this stack of layouts.
Stars? Welllllll, they're nice, but don;t say "zoo" to me, either.
And that's where I'm at.

We're well into the second half of the month and all I've done to work toward my goal is to look through the pictures I ordered and cut apart the 3x4 and 3x3 pictures and I bought a paper pad that I'll be using on the 8x8 album. I usually don't accomplish much during the summer but I had hoped for a little more than that. My desk is a mess and that tends to make me avoid scrapping. My goal is to listen to a podcast and clean up today.
I'm glad you're all doing so well with your goals and using up your supplies!

Here are the last of my June cards Those are so beautiful! You are so talented. I'm sure your family love getting them. I'm glad you're all doing so well with your goals and using up your supplies! I'm right there with ya. I've not got much scrapping done. But I found a new way to use up paper scraps. My ds has a spin art thing that needs 5x5" paper. You drip paint in the top. We've also been using markers. Well, he needed paper, I have lots of patterned paper scraps that are white on the back. Match made in heaven. And I have no guilt "getting rid of" those scraps.

LavenderLayoutLady, I'm always happy to use my supplies on other projects, too. I did some layout planning for my travel album while I listened to some podcasts today. I cleaned up a few layers from my desk and I'll finish that up tomorrow and actually get started on that album.
