OK. I'm about giving up.
For the past two years I've loved and purchased many of the SSS monthly kit products. But lately??!?! First the May Crayola Marker/Bible Verses/Animation Stamp disaster; then June which was OK, but meh; and now the July kit. The images are two different bikinis (not even a bikini & a one piece or a man's swimsuit) and two half-clouds that look really similar to one another.
All the while, I wait for them to come up w/something clever like the Concord & 9th super versatile stamps like the turnabout stamps; or the Altenew beautiful designs. Something w/houses or DIY cityscapes or cool geometrics. But instead it's flowers, critters, cutesy images, bible verses, more flowers.

I know what you mean. I seems like the past kits were so cute. I even chased down all of the items for a kit that was offered before I subscribed, including stickers that were only to be found at an online store in Hawaii.
Lately I'm just not feeling it, although I do really like the flower stamp from the June kit. I was hoping for a dies and stamp set, but not a bikini. Sigh.

I subscribed back in 2015 but quit in 2016. That's when all the cutesy stuff started.

I just saw the preview. I do like some of the sayings in the stamp set for this month, but you can buy that set separately, so I might go that route... but yeah, I feel like the kits have really lost their wow factor lately.

Just looked and my only reaction is 'no thanks.' And what's so unique about double sided tape cut into strips?
Just not the sort of summer themed set and kit I'd want to use.

The double sided foam tape is actually really nice. If I try to cut foam tape it never comes out that straight. However, it's not a special new thing. It was in the Stampin Up catalog last year and another company that I can't remember the name of has it too. I'm pretty sure Kat Scrappiness sells the other brand.

Wow, they've entered SC Stamp sub territory. Time to go spend your money elsewhere and let the memories of better SSS times go...

I got the June kit because I like the stamp but before that I haven't gotten the kit since last year. They are way to cutesy for me. I will pass on this kit too. I used to get the kit every month.

I don't sub with them but I agree with the above posters. Nothing there I'd want. And what do you do with the bikini pieces--randomly stick them on your layout (bikini sneeze)?
I'm with Zingermack--Concord and 9th and Altenew have some great designs. Not everyone wants a steady diet of cute.

The past 3 were duds for me, and I am not getting this one. They seem to all look the same. Last June is when I started buying them it was a cute 4th of July theme. I think I am done with the card kits.

I think a lot of people thought the crayola markers were pretty cheapo for a kit, and the animation stamps were really limited. They didn't include enough of the striped animation acetate for more than one card (I think?) and the stamps could only be used with that acetate. Some people don't really want bible verses. It's sort of useless for certain people.

Yeah, not even Vicky could do much w/this kit. The bikini stamp, bikini die and bikini paper were really limiting and the cards all look so similar even though she used lots of techniques:

Her enthusiasm is always contagious. She seemed to like the bikini theme. I didn't get this kit, but it was still fun to watch.
Even with the limitations of the kit, I enjoyed seeing her techniques. The wave card is an idea that could be applied to other landscapes. I really loved that one. The idea of putting glitter under a die cut with acetate is genius.
Here's hoping that next month's kit is more interesting.
