I had bloodwork done recently and was told I should start taking vitamins, mainly low on vit D. A few years ago I was taking a women's daily pack, it had a few different things in it, one was a fish oil capsule for the omega 3's. I can't find the brand I used to take. Anyone have a multivitamin or pack they'd recommend? Holy crap there are about a gazillion choices out there right now!

When I remember, I just take a multivitamin, never a pack.

I am sure this is pea disapproved but I just use Nature Made prenatals (prenatals suggested by doc for the iron I need since I have problems with the normal iron tablets) and the Spring Valley Fish oil. I like those because it is half the size of other brands. I get them at the dreaded WM.

I would take a look at labdoor.com. They rate different types of supplements based on their lab testing (were there other substances in the supplements-like heavy metals? Was the label accurate in how much of the Vitamin/mineral was present? And so on).

vitamin D has to be taken with some form of fat, so I would get the gel capsules that contain oil, and not the pill form. it also needs to be D3.

I love the Master Formula from Young Living. It is a pack and it does not make me sick to my stomach.

IMO, I would ask the doctor which vitamins I really need and take those rather than taking a multivitamin that might have things I don't really need, especially because I've never found a multivitamin that didn't make me sick to my stomach. I take iron and Vitamin D... and Iron is generally the thing in a multivitamin that gives the most people trouble (according to the pharmacist, anyway). Like not2peased recommend to you, I take Vitamin D in the form of D3 gelcaps (they have corn oil and soybean oil). I also use the iron from NatureMade. They're pretty small tablets and do not upset my stomach.
