This may sound like a weird question but do you have any? I have one and it's funny when I think about it. When I was in high school in Japan I had to learn Japanese *quickly* because I was terrified of getting lost and not being able to get home. So one night when my Japanese wasn't good at this point it happened. I got off the bus at the wrong stop (they have bus announcements and the sound difference between Kirigaokaichome and Kirigaokanichome are very similar when spoken quickly). Well I was lost in the safest country in the world (and keep in mind there is a police station on every block) and here I am terrified in tears. I can't find the street I need to walk up and I am afraid to go to the police because I am afraid of police. Eventually I got turned around and found my way home, but I was terrified and thought I would be on the street that night. I rang the bell to get in (customary as they had a gate around their property) and I was in tears and she started crying because I was. I get out the dictionary and show her that I was lost and she was so sad for me. Somewhat irrational response, but it's cute when I think of it now. I had two interactions with the police in Japan and the way I was treated you would have thought I was royalty or something.

I am not afraid of spiders but I'm afraid they are going to lay eggs in my ears. When ever I see one, my hands instinctively goes to my ears.

I was afraid of the dark until well into adulthood. Victim of an overactive imagination combined with a love of horror novels and movies. I couldn't calmly turn out the light and walk to my bed and get in. I had to turn it off then quickly jump into bed so nothing could grab my feet from under the bed. Same reason I can't sleep with my feet hanging over the side of the bed. I don't do the run and jump thing any longer but feet over the edge gets to me sometimes still.

Being killed in a car wash at night.
I figure one car can block me in the front and another in the back and i would have no place to go. I've had the fear since my teens

People touching my feet. Although that's more "weird things you can't handle" than an irrational fear, I suppose. I am terrified that I'm going to be in a large group of people and be the only one who can see the tornado coming so I'm yelling and screaming but nobody will listen to me until right before it hits and then they all want me to save them. I've had that dream in one form or another for most of my life. Hence why I'm a spotter and run a weather awareness fb page. Come to think of it, this really isn't all that irrational, either. I guess I got nothin.

I get a whole Heart of Darkness vibe whenever I look at certain maps - typically large land masses beside oceans in places I've never visited. I wouldn't call it a phobia so much as an intense discomfort.

Tunnels. I read The Stand for the first (and last) time over 30 years ago. I LOOOOVED it but I can never read it again. There is one scene that takes place when the main character goes through the Lincoln tunnel. To this day if traffic is slow through a tunnel or if it stops my heart starts pounding and I get super anxious until I come out on the other side. Every. Single Time.

Mice! I know they're more afraid of us than we are of them...but yeah if I think I see one I can be up on a chair or table quicker than you'd think possible.

People. The longer I live, the more I learn, the more I fear the dark side of people. Especially where for no apparent reason other than to lift themselves up, they try to do others down.
ETA: I am not sure this is irrational. Depressive? yes. Cynical? sure. Dark? yep.

Deep water far from shore. I'm a good swimmer and have been on the water my whole life, but I hate jumping off a boat in deep water, far from shore. I'm not sure if it is a fear of not knowing how far down the bottom is, or a fear that I am too far to swim to shore. My sis has a great story about the police helping her when in Japan. She was there teaching English and going to meet a friend also living there. She stopped at the train police station to get help & make sure she got on the right train. When she arrived at the destination station, the police there met her and brought her into the office, indicating she needed to wait (her Japanese didn't go much beyond hello, please & thank you so it was mostly gestures & smiles). She really doesn't know what is going on but sits and waits until another officer walks in with her equally confused friend. Instead of directing her from the station they figured it would be easier to go get her friend but it took longer than they expected to convince her to come.

3:33AM creeps me out as well as looking into a mirror at night. And NEVER EVER combine the two. Too many horror movies.

I'm terrified of being buried alive or trapped in a super confined space like a casket and suffocating to death. Likelihood of it happening is pretty much 0% but I get anxious just thinking about it.

I am afraid to drive over long bridges over bodies of water. I fear I will suddenly turn the wheel of the car sharply and careen off the side.

I have a few that my friends love to rib me on. Glitter, squirrels, hand lotion (OMG! just the thought!) and shoes/clothes along side the road. I'm not afraid of the dark but I have a fear of "the rapist." I have my entire life been freaked out when going to bed that the rapist will come in. I probably should address that with some therapy... When the Elizabeth Smart thing happened, I didn't sleep for years. Now, in order to control the anxiety so I can get to sleep, I make my DH check on the children and if he is gone I won't check on them. I'm too afraid they won't be there because "the rapist" took them. Really... irrational.

Hers goes a bit further as she's afraid her skin will get those holes. There's some messed up images if you google. Don't google!

I am afraid of falling off the side of a mountain. I've had this fear since childhood. I think it has to do with a trip up a mountain on a snowy day and the wheels spinning. I've also had 2 or 3 dreams where my husband kills us by driving off a mountain.

I have a fear of getting lost and not being able to find where I want to go. I've gotten lost twice, both times outside in the woods. I now will not go into any wooded area where I can not see the parking lot. I won't go on wooded trails, ever. Our place in Florida has woods surrounding it but that's fine - I don't have to go into them and they are within the town so only each 1 block deep. I have dreams where I am walking with a destination in mind and don't make it, forever trying to find my way.

Being stuck in traffic on a bridge or overpass when an earthquake hits. This stems from the San Francisco earthquake of 89. The funny thing is, I've been stuck in traffic on the Bay Bridge several times in the last few months, and I've been fine. But at home in Arkansas, where I've never been in an earthquake, I start to panic.
I also don't like really tall, multilevel overpasses, especially if they curve. I'm terrified I'll lose control of my car and fly off the side. So I drive slow, but then I worry someone will come up behind me going normal freeway speed and push me off anyway. Way too stressful.

Terrifies me at that time!
