Welcome courtney ::wave:: I'm another International Pea, I live in Wales I didn't know this! I'm so jealous - we were in Wales a few years ago, and it is pretty much our favorite place on earth! RosieKat ❤️ It is a lovely place to live. Which parts of Wales did you visit?

Slight hi-jack - JoP I watched a programme recently (can't for the life of me remember what it was called at the moment) and people designed and hand built a cabin in the woods. It had to be mobile as they were going to be part of a pop-up hotel. The judging took place in Wales and the scenery was such a glorious backdrop, simply stunning, for the programme. I knew Wales was beautiful (I've been few times) but hadn't seen this area before

gar The programme was called Cabins in the Wood, one of the hosts was Dick Strawbridge. The scenery was stunning and I loved the winning entry, the Dragon's Eye.

I only know this because when I read gars post I thought that sounded like a programme I'd like to watch so I searched on Sky catch-up. I've downloaded the whole series now, can't wait to watch but now I know the winner

Sorry about mentioning the winner, I forget that people can catch up. Enjoy though and be prepared to be amazed by the creativity/craftmanship of some people.

We were mostly up north and exploring, but spent a little time mid and south. Conwy was our home base most of the time. We took the ferry from Dublin where we'd visited my BIL who was working there, then rented a car (which was a whole other adventure!) so we had lots of freedom to just go wherever we wanted and explore at leisure. We loved the people we met, the land was stunning, and I had some of the best meals of my life there, too. This was about 12 years ago, and our love clearly has rubbed off on the kids - DD had to design her dream vacation as a lesson in budgeting and accounting at school this past year. Want to guess where she "went?" Oh, and, um...sheepish aside...Hi, Courtney!

Welcome to the Pod! I've been on NSBR in both forms since 2002. I was probably your age when I first found the Peas. I picked up a new name with the site change, though. Everything you've been warned about is true! But everything you ever would want to know and everything you didn't know you needed to know is here...and a lot of things you wished you didn't know! LOL You should trust a Pea when she tells you not to Google. But you probably will anyway and then wish you had listened. Definitely read the history if you have time to kill. If you really want to laugh, read the old thread about "This one time when I was pregnant"...or maybe not if you don't want to be scared off ever getting pregnant. You'll pick up the lingo the longer you're here. But don't be afraid to ask. Happy Pea'ing.
