I was able to use welcome 15 and I swear I've used it before. Idk.
I got what I wanted...page protectors and chipboard.
All the stamps except for one are sold out.

I noticed the “-ing” stamp has “listening” in the small type on there twice. And “currently” is the word missing from the small type set. Maybe the second round stamps will be updated?

I knew the stamp I wanted was going to sell out... and it did within 10 minutes.

I sent a cancelation request because I feel totally manipulated and taken advantage of by Ali in regards to the Stories of the Month kit. When I committed to the year, I commited to something that fit into my budget. For her to raise it without option to accept really takes advantage of her customers.
For me, her kits have become so repetitious and just not visually appealing. I feel like I could make similar homemade cards with basic fonts and just save my money.

It’s a pass for me - which is good since I have not even touched last years yet. The 2016 WITL kit was my favorite kit - I love my album I made with that kit. I don’t love the supplies in the kit this year. I think the pink album is pretty. I just don’t need it for anything. Same. I used 2016 for a vacation album and of my 30+ albums, that one is my favorite. Really loved that kit. Don’t like this years at all 😕. There is a brand new 2016 WITL kit on ebay for $50. That was a nice one.

The SBTM now comes in a polka dot bag. It's barely large enough to fit the chipboard sheet, but overall rather nice. The wood veneers already moved into my regular embellishment storage. Not sure why they needed to switch, but I know I can use these. And gather my April stuff throughout the month in them.

So I just noticed that you can skip a month for your subscription kit. Is this new or am I just not observant? Ha! You have to do it before reveal, but still there are some kits that I have no interest in. I love this option!
ETA: It is a new option I asked. You have to cancel before reveal but can change your mind until the 14th. You can't skip more than 2 consecutive months in a row but there is no other limit. This is great in my opinion. I was considering dropping my story kit this summer but I will likely keep it now and just skip the few that I don't want.

Whats going on with these stamp pads? They look like they have cotton ball remnants on them? Right! Like how are they already that messy! I like the grey and yellow as they're not colors I have, but I'm a mini inks only so I'll be passing on those. I think those were probably used at Story Camp a few weeks ago (or maybe they are just from Ali's personal stash?) . We got to try them out, so obviously used. I'm not really a yellow person, and the pink is pretty but I LOVE that gray. I don't know why because I'm not usually drawn to gray but it is just so classy...

I think she wasn't planning on posting the photo, but multiple people asked (including me) so she went and took the photo and posted it in response to the requests only about an hour later. So I applaud the quick response. Not sure why she didn't wipe them off first, but it doesn't prevent me from seeing the ink samples so I'm not bothered by it. I'm super excited for the grey, I find myself always wishing I had a grey ink but I don't--except for a mini one, but it's drying out and I don't like the mini ones--but got all the colors even though I probably don't need another pink.

I caved and got the ink bundle (plus a pack of the new pockets and the word stickers). I was only going to get yellow, but then I really liked the gray after seeing it stamped. I have some grays from SC, but I do really like how Ali’s inks stamp. I’m not a big fan of pink, but I like this shade AND I have a new baby niece and lots of cute baby girl photos! Plus, with the bundle and discount code, it wasn’t much more than ordering gray and yellow separately. I also picked up the 31 More Things class kit on sale. I’ve considered it during many previous sales, mainly for that small alpha stamp set, and at $3 I finally pulled the trigger.
I used WELCOME15 and got 15% off.

It’s the 20th and mine is still @ inked Same.
I figured out awhile ago that if you get add-ons your kit will ship much faster. So if I pick up add-ons I usually get a shipping notice on the 15th itself and have my kit by the 18th or so. If I don't get add-ons I will get the shipping notice a couple days after the 15th but it will just say "label created" for days and I don't get the kit until much later. I am in New York State.
For this month, mine finally says expected delivery Tuesday 3/26. Sometimes I think it's almost worth buying an add-on just for the expedited shipping, but it's so annoying they do it that way.

This is another reason why I've lost my taste for Ali inc. I'm not surprised about this and pretty much figured this was the way.

Is anyone else annoyed that they are now packaging the SBTM kits in the bag? The bag is cute, don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have a couple of those. But they are not environmentally friendly, the price increase has covered those bags and just throws more water on the whole - we did this because you asked for it...... No you did it to make the kits more appealing to people who aren't currently subbers, so you could make even more money......grhhh

Because I think it seems more environmentally friendly to me to use a bag that I will keep and reuse than a bag that goes straight into the trash. I do agree it's part of the price increase, the disposable paper bag before was part of the "this is a discount kit" vibe, but the bag is more in keeping with the rest of their kits so it makes sense in my opinion that they would switch.
I definitely see how people could be annoyed to pay for fancy packaging when the additional cost could go into more products, but I'm okay with it I guess.

They come in the zippered pouches now? Or are you talking about another bag? Mine just shipped and probably won't arrive to me for another week or so, so I have no idea what bag is being discussed.

But it appears the SBTM kit comes in a clear polka dot zippered pouch, similar to the ones SC uses for its kits.

Clearly I am BLIND. Hahaha! It's cute but won't fit in with the rest of my kits...so much for uniformity, eh? The material looks (obviously I won't know until I receive them how they feel) like the ones from Freckled Fawn that I have discovered I hate...the ones SC uses for their kits are much more my speed.

lasteve1 As a long time ex subber of SC who has also bought their kits on sale, I have their plastic zippered bags up the wazoooo. I've repurposed a lot of them (medicine, makeup etc etc) but there are only so many zippered bags that you need - same with the plastic pouches the story kits come in. So unless I sell them on facebook/ebay .....or donate them to friends, yes eventually they will end up in the trash. I'd rather we had our kits arrive in paper bags or the types of paper that have seeds in them that you can plant, if I had a choice.

So the next lesson came out in Hello Story 2 and I started to look at the projects and I really like them. I think she really put a lot of time/effort into creating thorough/thoughtful project. With the story kits she often has at least one layout that is super simple, you know "reminding us that it can be that simple" but with Hello Story 2 all of the layouts have been really thoughtful and inspiring. I am really enjoying the class so if anyone is still on the fence I would recommend it--I think registration closes today. I was on the fence and I didn't take the first Hello Story class, but I caved. I bought both classes bundled, with the WELCOME15 discount code for $61.

Hopefully that remains the case after I fill them up. I did purchase some black ones prior and have used them and they are holding up well.

That is true that they pile up, I have a ton of them too (subbed to SC's PL kit for over 3 years now and to their SB kit for over 1 year). I just seem to always be able to find uses for them! I do give a lot of them away though. I've also found that they wear out over time if I use them for certain things (such as to corral little bits in my purse) so I will ultimately toss it out, but only after it's been used a few more times.
I definitely see where you are coming from and agree that others probably feel the same way as well. I like the bags though.

Especially given there was more than one thread on the FB group recently talking about reducing the amount of plastic that comes with the kits to which Ali said she and her team have been looking into. The paper bag are recyclable, these plastic zipper bags are not. And as much as I like them and think they are cute, they are still plastic...holding a bunch of times that are also wrapped in soft plastic. As someone has already said, there are only so many of these plastic bags that you can use. I have a whole box full of zippered plastic bags from various kits I've subscribed to over the years. Because I'm studying to be an early childhood educator I am sure that at some point down the track I will find a use for them in my classroom. But if that wasn't the case... well that is a lot of cute wasted plastic. I'm curious though about the attitudes toward plastic across the rest of the world. I know that down here in Australia there is a huge focus on reducing our use of plastic. Targeting single use plastics right now. Almost every state has now banned the use of single use plastic bags at retail outlets (grocery stores, department stores etc.) and are now looking at banning plastic straws as the next step. I'm curious if other countries (US in particular) share that focus? Or is it just something that is thought about but not really acted upon?

@missbellejane I live in CT in the US and its not consistent across the state. Some stores still have plastic bags. My main grocery store in my town only provides paper bags. I used to be from the UK, so I had gotten into the habit of using my own shopping bags - as the UK used to charge you for a bag! Now I always have my own bags, or have one of those packable bags in my handbag/purse. I just bought stainless steel straws this weekend because I was in a store and they had them. I've been aware for some time of movements to ban plastic straws and I thought it was a good idea. Now if Ali made an kit pouch that was the dimensions to fit a stainless steel straw that was also washable - I would buy a few ! But not more than 4

I'm curious if other countries (US in particular) share that focus? Or is it just something that is thought about but not really acted upon? These are handled at the state level. California is the most progressive that I know of. Sit down restaurants can no longer hand customers straws as a default without facing fines (the fines are minimal at the moment) but can provide them upon customer request. Fast food is exempt from this change. They have charged 10 cents for bags for a lot longer (and there is a CRV charge for every plastic bottle...other states don't charge the CRV but you get that money if you take the items to the recycling plants yourself...in Cali you would then just get that money returned to you) which have been laws for a while now, the straw law is new as of this year. Not familiar how other states are doing things. Nevada (where I live) isn't restrictive like this but we are probably headed in that direction.
