I swear I got a whole WITL kit including an album and pp’s from Ali a few years ago when it released for like fifty bucks.
Now it’s fifty bucks just for the album. No thanks!

I was interested until I saw the price. Yeah, no thanks. I 'get' this is supposed to be for 3 different DITL days but not everyone does 3 different days like she does. And if you're only doing one DITL, this is pricey as f^ck. Is it 3? I swear she mentioned only 2 in the video, which would make it even less of a deal.

I like the “ing” prompts and the colors but am not interested in the 3x8 size. I agree completely, but I still purchased it because the design of the "ing" cards makes them easily cut down into two 3x4 cards... the top half will have the "ing" prompt and the bottom half will be a blank journaling card with the stripe along the bottom. The only card which can't be cut in half is the title "day in the life" card but I will just crop around the text to 3x4 and throw away the excess.
I did something similar with last year's DITL release and it worked well.

I think the kit is meant to cover 3 separate DITL, but I certainly can’t justify it with the Aussie dollar. I usually do a DITL each year and just use my stash. I have some of her past kits digitally. Based on the themes and the "grateful" divider in the album, I'm pretty sure this is meant to cover only 2 days of documenting. Ah ok. That doesn’t seem much.

I was just assuming three (not sure why I did that either!).

Thinking I will buy the digitals. I only do DITL once a year and add it to my project life album. I’ll print the cards and chipboard sentiments. The LAST thing I need is another stamp set

Is anyone thinking of doing her self portrait project next week? (It’s on her personal IG story today )
I’m thinking if it, is like to add it to my self reflection TN from last year.

I'm doing PL this year and as I was sorting through my January photos this weekend I realized I wasn't in a single one of them. February will have a whole week of me!

Ok, I checked Ali's shop, and monthly dividers do come in the main kit, but they don't look like these. The month words are larger. I think these are handmade. But I still could be wrong. I didn't see anything in the shop besides the main kit that had month tabs.

It's a nice idea, and I get why she thought of it. That just has a whole bunch of personal issues attached to it for me. It might work for my OLW, though. I'll have to think about it.

I did a self reflection TN last year in the fall. There’s space in it I might just add it in there. I’m not so happy about the focus of certain days. For example feet? What do I have to say about me feet, they are there & they still work, I’ve got nothing else to say about feet. I suck at paying attention to myself so I guess I should do it, but I prefer a bit of a self-less self portrait for example telling the stories of everything & everyone around me To tell the story of me lol. I’ve seen a few artists do this and I almost feel I know more about who they are than if I was just given a portrait of them. Other than the specificity if the feet/hands etc I really want to do this.

I thought the feet pic was weird at first too, but then I thought about what I wear on my feet is just as much a reflection on me as my plain feet. For example, in winter, you can always find me with cabin socks on at night. Hands, is going to be about an aging thing. The skin on my hands has changed as I've gotten older and I want to document that.

I looked on Ali’s site and didn’t see one, is there a hole punch for her 6x8 album size? I’m making some vellum pages and was thinking a six hole punch would be nice.

I bought one after her recommendation and it's nice! (non-affiliated link) www.amazon.com/dp/B001GR6BCM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8kWoEbKHCDZ6V

Story Camp for May has been open for almost a week now and hasn't sold out.
Has the cost + having to travel to Eugene maxed out of her fan girls?

BSideCrafter I think it is a luxury for sure. That said, the May dates do not work for me, but I am hoping that the one in the fall will work out, I would love to attend

I could easily drive there, saving a ton of money on airfare, but I would still have lodging and food on top of the class fee. It is really expensive! I would actually like to go because although I don’t love her physical products I do love her classes, but the cost is just insane to me. I would seriously consider it for half the cost, but I can’t believe a 2 day workshop is worth 600.

I signed up yesterday and I’m super excited! I have not done any type of scrapbooking since 2015! Well, except for a mini album for my grandsons 1st bday. I’m trying to get back in a groove and Ali has always been my favorite teacher. When I moved to Oregon last year I promised myself I would sign up. I’ll just have to drive from the coast to Eugene.

I'm going too! Although I'm traveling from New England with a friend to attend - it's a bucket list trip for us and we have added some extra time to explore the area. I know that class is expensive, but I love the intimate class size with someone that create projects and products I like, the fact that the product needed to complete the projects is provided and it includes a stipend for 2 meals of my choice (not hotel dinners like we usually get at a crop). I feel that the value is there (for me) for a premium class experience. The hotel looks amazing and gets great reviews. I am really looking forward to this and to visiting Oregon.

That’s great! I’ll keep an eye out for Michelle trom New England and say hello! I’ll be alone. I’ve followed Ali since her CKHOF days and have taken several classes through the years. They’re some of my most meaningful projects!

I am looking for a new collection to use to scrapbook my vacation, so I was looking in Ali's shop to see what she had.
Does anyone know if she will have a new travel kit this spring?
