Somewhat off topic, but I just looked up Season 1 BB on YouTube and started watching. I'm only half way through episode 1, but it is SO different than what it is now. I vaguely remember some of the houseguests, but in 2000 I was in the midst of baby-rearing, so didn't have as much tv time as I do now. Yup, that is when the show was really good . They had no idea what alliances were and still thought for themselves. I wish they would go back to a simpler time with a good balance of old and new. Back in the day when they had to create their own grocery lists!

Today is Tuesday, September 19.Another day, another dollar, and one of these meatballs is just one day away from 500,000 of them. The trio slept late, ate, lounged, chatted, and slept some more. Paul has been rehearsing and re-rehearsing his speech and is now using the microwave timer to time it. Condensed version: He's a vet, had a huge target on his back, won or controlled nearly all the HOHs & vetos, worked & fought to the end, thank you. If Josh has a speech, it's in his head. He asked Paul the other day if they give a speech, Paul said something like 'a little one.' With Josh being a fan of the game, he should know enough to have something ready; he could have just been testing Paul to see what he'd say, but hopefully he's got something in mind. Christmas had a talk with Josh and basically told him to take whoever to the end that he thinks he has the best chance to win with, no hard feelings from her. Josh didn't reveal one way or the other how he's leaning; the most recent thing he told the camera seemed to indicate he'd cut Xmas, but that was days ago. Paul later told Josh that Xmas had approached him with the same 'take whoever' talk, and the two were confident that she's expecting to be cut. They think she checked out after losing that Part 2 comp. PopTV sent the HGs some dominoes, cards, jenga, popcorn, & candy, and they even had six beers to enjoy with it. (Funny it's taken this long for cards to arrive.) They were enjoying themselves when they felt a rumble - EARTHQUAKE! Paul herded them to the middle of the backyard. It was a little one, 3.6, but enough to sober up the evening's fun. Voting is still open for America's Favorite. The names I'm seeing across various sites and polls are Cody, Kevin, Mark, and Jason - typically in that order or something close to it. I think there will be a surprise factor to the F3 with any of those folks winning, except perhaps Jason, but just the Top Vote-Getters announcement should be worth a giggle or two. VOTE

Here is Paul's speech, as transcribed by this source yesterday afternoon. He will continue tweaking it, but it won't change much: Houseguests, I know that at some point, each one of you either thought of, wanted to, or tried to get me out of this game. And, it wasn't necessarily because of something that I did... but it was because of who I was, that unleashed punishment upon the house, the only returning vet of the season and the most obvious target throughout the entire game. From the second that I walked through those doors, I was immediately placed at a disadvantage because I was the odd man out. And, instantly I was forced to play a completely different game than all of you. I knew that I had no time to waste, so I started playing immediately. First, I omitted certain people from the Friendship bracelets, because everyone knew how I played and who I was. So, I need certainly individuals to show their skills, capabilities and weaknesses. Of course, I didn't want the first HoH, I already had enough enemies in the house, so I needed someone else to take power, and start creating enemies for themselves, which is exactly what they did. sorry Cody. After that, my HoH win was seemingly perfect, I set the example of always having a house target, and having the numbers to set a goal, After that, everyone pretty much asked for my advice, which means that I pretty much controlled every single HoH from that point forward. The two HoH's that I didn't control, I controlled the outcome. I was the one that flipped the house to keep Christmas and I was the one to flip the house to keep Josh. After surviving the first double eviction, I knew that the pool for the house target, started to shrink. So, I needed to change up my strategy , and I did. I perfectly positioned myself between three pairs, Jalex, Joshmas and Maven. I knew, at that point, I didn't have to win anything. Instead, I had certain people win, and then all the pairs started to take shots at one another, instead of obviously taking a shot at me. So, I jumped from one side to one side, avoiding the fire, and getting myself to the top, with the final remaining pair, which was Josh and Christmas. From that point on, I knew I had to win myself to the end and I did. I won the most important HoH, which secured my spot in the Final 3 and I won the most important Veto, which secured who came to the Final 3 with me. And, then I won Part 1 and Part 3 of the Final HoH, which secured my spot right here.. and again it was me who chose who came with me. Tallying me up with 10 competition wins. And, every single time I won HoH, I also won the Veto that came with it, which means, when I was in Power, I was in FULL control of my week. I worked my ass off day after day in this game, not only as the biggest threat, not only as the most obvious target. I made a lot of decisions that no one wanted to make and I carried a whole lot of weight in this game. But, I still fought myself to this point right here, without even touching the block, one single time. And, that's not with luck, and that's not with Friendship, that's by playing the hell of Big Brother, which is exactly what I came back here to do. Thank You.

I actually like his speech. He's owning that he played all 3 of the pairs and that he did it because he wanted to win.

And I'm absolutely shocked that there is still a chance that I could win!! The rest of my family had Cameron, Dominique, and Matthew. After Cameron's early exit, we thought Dominique and Matthew had decent shots at winning, but NO WAY would Josh win.

thank you for posting this! i love your updates Aw, thank you! I'm glad you have enjoyed them; that made my day. I want her to win because I have her as my HG in the Pea Pool ... even if she comes in second to Paul I would still win because he's not in the Pool So far, you are the only one rooting for her, and it has nothing to do with her game.

I think had Christmas not broken her foot and been able to actually compete, we might have seen a different side of her and I think I'd have liked her. She's a badass and I think she would have given some of them a run for their money. But she really shouldn't even have been able to stay. She was not able to actually "play" the game for majority of the season.

wonder what Paul's little burrito thinks about him sleeping with Christmas every night? I think he's going to be going hungry. If I was his burrito, I would've lept off his plate over the 'head constantly in Elena's lap under her boobs while she plays with his hair' thing. Spooning with Christmas just reaffirms that decision. He has been complaining about it a little bit to Josh over the past few days, but he should've put a stop to that right off the bat.

SaveSaveBecause Cody was actually pretty darned funny in his own way and he was one of the only ones who was really on track with the way Paul was. He refused to get sucked into Paul's web. Everything he said about Paul has been true. Even the little that was shown from the jury house was entertaining. Now as for Jessica..... blech. I wonder how Cody's game would have gone without that part of it. My son tells me Cody is very popular on some other boards

If Kevin wins America's favorite he will end up winning more than the 2nd place player because he won $1.25 in one of the comps which would be added onto his 2 $25, 000 pots. This amuses me a little bit

Thank you hosschick for doing this thread. It's a lot of work and really appreciated. It's my first season and I'm completely hooked. Would Paul have made it this far w/o the advantages he had at the beginning? When will the brainwashees realize that they were played?

SaveSaveI think some people are voting for the person who tried to get rid of those who are still in power - I've seen lots of "can't wait to see the look on their faces..." type comments. I didn't like Cody, though I was kind of rooting for him when he was in the underdog position (because I always root for the underdog). The three still in the house seem convinced the Christmas is going to get AFH, so they are in for a surprise no matter who it turns out to be.

Josh was the first one awake today. He let us know how much he has enjoyed this experience, and that he loves both Christmas and Paul. He tried out 3 times for BB, and he'd love to do it again, but maybe not right away. He thinks he has a better shot at beating Paul - maybe the jury won't want to see a vet win - so he asked us to vote for Xmas as America's favorite (haha, still no, but I think it's kind that he is asking). Will we get to see the first two HOH comps tomorrow night?? Yep. If you watched the clip show from Friday, they showed just the very start of the Part 1, where they're hanging onto a rope behind a farting unicorn. Tomorrow's show will probably start with that and go from there. I'm curious about Part 2 because they both said it was very difficult. They had to shoot bow & arrow, had to know days, maybe some other stuff, but there was no time limit and apparently neither one of them were very good at it; they both said they were in tears - not that it takes much to get Josh crying, but Christmas was, too. I only check in here occasionally (thank you for posting the updates, btw!) so forgive me if this has already been discussed, but why in the hell would anyone want to vote for Cody? Do people really like him? Or is it one of those "vote for the worst" type things? You're more than welcome! I agree with what's been said in the other posts. I think a large portion of the Cody support is more of a "F(&* you" to Paul. I thought he was a jerk inside the house, but I loved his deadpan diary persona. I am also curious whether he would have been able to take out Paul had that safety not been in play. I think he would've pulled it off. Thank you hosschick for doing this thread. When will the brainwashees realize that they were played? You're welcome, and thanks for giving us extra reasons to bash Raven. I hope you, cawoman , and any other new BB'ers stick around! I personally do not think Paul would've gotten anywhere close to the end without the help, but he definitely made the most of it. I think Cody would've been able to take him out at the beginning. For as odd as this season turned out to be, I guess I'm glad it worked out this way rather than seeing Cody and the Showmances rule the world. Blech! After seeing the jury house footage, I think everyone understands they've been played, with the exception of Raven The Puppetmaster who will deny it for eternity. Imagine the stories her grandchildren will hear about BB... oh wait, she can't have kids. That reminds me, Paul mentioned yesterday that he still plans to design a t-shirt to benefit Raven. I'm sure those will sell well.

I think Cody is going to win AFP, but according to one story I read there is an active campaign to get Cameron votes. That would be an even better way to let the HG know how unpopular they are as a group this year. According to the Joker's poll, 45% think Cody will win, and 29% think he should win, AFP. In their poll, 67% think Paul will win the game and slightly less, 55%, think he should win. Most interesting to me is the jury vote predictions: - Christmas wins 7-2 against Josh
- Paul wins 5-4 against Josh
- Christmas wins 5-4 against Paul

Today is Wednesday, September 20. The BB19 Season Finale airs tonight! It's a 2 hour episode with a lot to cover: Part one HOH (all 3 on unicorns), Part Two HOH (Josh v Christmas), and Part Three HOH will take place live tonight (Paul v Josh). Part Three usually involves Julie asking how jurors completed a statement (choose A or B). The winner of Part Three then gets to choose which person to take with them to F2. The F2 will each be able to give a short speech, and they should have a chance to answer a few live questions from the jury. The jury will then cast their vote to win. The jurors held a focused discussion several days ago, led by Dr Will. We'll get to see what they think of the season and the finalists' gameplay. Dr Will is also hosting post-show interviews in the backyard that will be broadcast on Facebook live. *link*The jury has also been painting in their spare time; check out their artwork here: BB artThe HGs evicted before jury will be there tonight also, and America's Favorite will be announced near the end of the show. Voting closes at 9:59a BBT, so there are a few more hours left. Cast your final votes here. The HGs were informed by BB that the finale is indeed today, and that they will have 90 seconds for their speech. They started to pack, practiced speeches, and had a final family dinner together. All indications are that Josh will take Paul, and Paul will take Josh. Thank you to everyone who read and participated in the thread this season. Special thanks to IAmUnoriginal for bringing over the BBN daily updates, Skellinton for vacation fill-in, leannec for organizing and running the pool, christine58 for filling in the rest of the blanks, and bc2ca for faithfully clicking that 'like' button just to acknowledge my existence. I don't want to leave anyone out, so I'll won't list any more names, but I've read and enjoyed all the comments and appreciate the likes and lurkers out there who have popped in and out throughout the season. Thanks for sticking it out!
