I was going to say a Hobbit house. Interestingly there are no pictures of the bedrooms and baths. They showed many pictures of the same rooms. We rarely put more than 2 different angles of any room. People lose interest quickly when looking at pictures.

This one is in Washington state, right? I kind of love it.

I swear we discussed this house a couple of years ago! It looks too familiar. Surely there can't be more than one person wanting to live in a storybook cottage? That said, I could see this being a nice special events venue or B&B. For a regular home? No way! Came across this listing tonight while looking for instructions to replace a light fixture. I would love to see the progression from "replace light fixture" to "storybook cottage for sale"! I bet it would be interesting! I'm always falling down the internet rabbit hole, but it rarely has such a good outcome!

Two hours later I have educated myself about the migratory habits of narwhals or some other nonsense and the bill remains unpaid. I have no idea how this happens.

I have no idea how this happens. I totally understand! Last night I was catching up on quilting blogs I follow. Ran across a new blog that discussed indigo & quilting fabrics, that led to research on Japanese dyeing and quilting methods, which in turn led to yet another new blog whose author has just written a book on Cotton & Indigo from Japan. Later this week I expect to receive not only that book, but another one she wrote as well, in the mail. Unfortunately when I fall in the rabbit hole it usually ends up costing me money.

I think if you're going to build a theme house you should do it all the way. The ceramic tiles immediately stood out to me and ruined the 'mood' they seem to be going for.

We called that Fable Cottage Estate and it was an attraction not that far from me (I mean really close). I am kind of without words.

I would totally love to live in that. Wish I could see the bedrooms and baths though. I'd feel like a princess (or a hobbit) living there.

It's not my cup of tea, but I can see how it could appeal to some people and I bet it would be a successful Airbnb listing.

Makes me think of a Fairy Garden or that a gnome should live there. Loved the old woman in the shoe in the yard.

I'm another who is certain we discussed this home before. It would be great for a B&B or tea room or something.

I rarely click on the links for video tours.

They should be wood or stone floors. The outlet covers need to be more consistent and more 'hidden' too. I think all that shiny white would drive me more nuts than any lack of corners or cave-like atmosphere.

I know I have seen this listing before and I just can't remember if it was here or somewhere else.

Yeah, it's been posted here before, and yes the tile floors are all wrong.
BUT, after doing the house tour I love it even more. Seriously, I want that. My daughters would be in heaven. That one weird bed/cave situation isn't perfect, but... WANT.

there's even stalactites hanging from the ceiling in the bedroom! just no, no, no! I like LOTR as much as the next person, and I would love to visit Bilbo's house, but to actually LIVE there? nope. No modern furnishings would look right in that house, and it's just ODD. It also kind of reminds me of a food TV show where the restaurant was Fred Flintstone themed, and that's not a good thing.

I'd live there. So cool. I'd also live in a castle. Definitely not as comfortable, but oh, so cool.

This listing immediately made me think of Fable Cottage Delta Dawn , but it is a different house. Fable Cottage was open for tours in the summer and had some rooms roped off as the family that built it lived there. My childhood dream house. SaveSave

So after so many of you said you thought you had seen it before, I pulled it up on zillow and it looks like it HAS been listed on and off for over a year. Price changes, listing removed, relisted. I don't remember seeing this one before but that doesn't mean I haven't seen it...lol.

Roswell NM has a similar house, although much smaller and in poor condition when I saw it. I found it sort of scary.

The houses look kinda similar. I forget what the interior looked like as it was 35+ years ago since I have been there. It was cute though. There are nice townhouses there now.
