Hey, ihaveonly1l are you doing this swap? I don't see your name on the address list? I've had a couple people notice that my name disappeared from the list the second time it went out, so I may as well answer here. I'm waiting to hear from my doctor if I need hip surgery. Long story short, I've got a crack in the femoral neck that just won't heal. It gets close and then the soreness kicks in. If I have to have surgery, there will be no way to get everything done. My plan is to figure out a treatment plan and if I can jump back in, I have all the addresses. At this time, I feel like I'm a maybe and that isn't fair so I opted out. I'll keep everyone posted and if possible, will jump in. I hope to have a treatment plan soon. I've had several scans in recent days and I'm hoping that we make some decisions soon.
You have done so much work and helped so much on this swap that I want to send you a card regardless if you send any out. Please p-mail me your address.
I hope all goes well with your hip and keeping my fingers crossed that the pain goes away and it heals on its own.

I sent an email, but please see the correction below:
I removed the last name for privacy. If you didn't get the email and need more information, please PM me.
FWD:
I just realized my address says MO instead of MI. So sorry that I didn't notice before now. Lisa D.

I got the list...yay...and was scrolling through as I always do and imagine my surprise when I saw a name that I recognized. We work at the same hospital and have mutual patients! Maybe I have finally found someone to scrap with! Hey that's me! So nice chatting with you despite my brief moment of being clueless! Can always use a scrap partner, especially one who will keep me motivated!

Yes, intn'l first class from US is $1.15. You can buy global forever stamps (Those are the harvest moon stamps in my photo of stamps). I order directly from USPS and they charge $1.75 shipping/handling.

Bought two Christmas packs of 100 stamps each today at Costco. do you get a price break at Costco if you buy stamps? (kind of like if you buy the restaurant or movie theater gift certificates there?) I need to start buying postage. And to start making cards! I have card bases cut / folded, have my stash of red and green patterned papers pulled together, and I have some Pinterest inspiration designs printed out- I just need to start cutting and assembling! I also found some cut-apart sheets in my stash with 3x4 cards on, which I'm going to use too. I also have a set of cute Christmas rubber stamps I found at a Goodwill-- now I just need to find the time!

My older sister, who is 57- and a yoga instructor- has had both of her hips replaced in the last couple years due to arthritis, and she's going strong now... I hope everything goes smoothly with your health issues!

I am completely shocked to find out that one of the people on the list lives on the same island as me! Despite the smallish population, I don't know her. But how crazy is that?
And I am very proud of myself. I'm not a good card maker at all, but I've started (have about 25 done so far) and I'm quite enjoying it. Yay for me!

Now I can concentrate on Christmas shopping! Ugh!

I know this has been asked and answered but please refresh my memory ~ how long does it take for cards to get to Australia? TIA! I don't have specific Australia experience, only NZ, but most overseas things get there in about a week or so, although with holiday volume it can be slower. I wouldn't wait until mid-Dec, but anything earlier should get there in plenty of time. Usually they get to the other country quickly and then it depends on the efficiency of that country's postal system and whether the recipient lives in the boonies or not. Stuff takes forever to get to my friend in the North of England, but everything else I send overseas is there in a week.

I think my tally hit 141 this weekend. (I'm trying to make cards for my actual family and friends as well as you random peas, LOL ) I still have to stamp and write in the insides but I'm feeling pretty accomplished I got some really pretty cut apart sheets from scrapbook dot com the other day, a selection of different styles from companies I've never used before, and they made for some nice (very simple) cards. And I only hoarded a few of them for myself. It was fun to see some new paper collections. I found one that I really really loved so I might have to go back for more.

I had fun scanning the addresses (in a non-creepy way) and seeing that a few people live pretty close to me - a couple I knew of, and a couple I didn't. Hopefully you continue having fun with card making! I'm sure your cards are lovely. If you start to get a little burned out, don't forget that sticking a cut-apart 3x4" piece to the front of a card base is still card-making. That's what I'm doing for a lot of mine. Not terribly creative, but it's one way to get them done, and you can get a cut-apart sheet for less than $1 at craft stores that will yield 12 card fronts, so it's cost efficient too. You can always add a little embellishment later if you have time/energy/inspiration.

I'm also making some cards with 3 sparkly circles that hopefully look like ornaments. I've made 50+ so far. 136 is a HUGE number, I'm realizing!

I just counted my cards and I've made 78! More than halfway there. I still haven't streamlined my operation but have figured out how to print my greeting on my computer so I don't have to hand write them all. In my old age I find my handwriting has gotten a tad bad and sometimes my hand doesn't write what my brain tells it to. I'm afraid I would screw up too many cards. How's everyone else doing?

Wow, 78 is great! I only made 48 cards so far, 88 more to go. I planned to make them over the weekend but seriously, I am spending an hour on a card it seems. I am going to make more this long weekend. I don't like making the same cards. After making 5 of the same type of cards, I switch over to making something else. I've been making little shaker cards, hopefully they hold up in the mail. I'm thinking of mailing myself something to run a test run of how well they hold up. I really want to mail everything the day after Thanksgiving. But I may have to wait until Dec. 1st if I don't finish all my cards.
