I always bring a new manual one that I can just throw in with things.
But my new electric isn't much larger than the manual and feels so much better after I brush.
My old one was kind of clunky.
So since it really doesn't take up any more room, I'm going to take it this time.
Am I just late to this party/have you been taking your electric for years or still a manual?

I was just thinking about this very thing yesterday. We were out of town for several days and I was so happy to have my electric toothbrush back when I got home. When this one dies I'm going to get something more portable.

I use a plain old toothbrush on vacation. Depends. If we're going to the lake for the weekend, I have a regular toothbrush that lives there. If we were visiting out of town family for a week or so, I'd bring the electric. Vacationing somewhere else for a week? Probably use the regular one that's always in my travel bag because I wouldn't want to drag along the charger and stuff.

I take my regular electric toothbrush with me. Never occurred to me to so otherwise. I like it much better than a non-electric one, too.
I just make sure it is fully charged before I leave. If I am going longer than a week, I don't think my charger takes that much extra space.

I don't brush my teeth when I'm on vacation.
Kidding! My electric toothbrush came with two complete brushes/handles, two recharging stations, and a travel case. One of the recharging stations is just a small simple base about two inches in size with a cord. You place the toothbrush on top of the box area to recharge. The other one has a cabinet with an ultraviolet light inside for you to disinfect your brush heads. My water pic also came with the normal one for keeping at home as well as a cute little travel one. My teeth just don't feel clean enough when using a manual brush after having used an electric for years now.

At home I use a Sonicare electric toothbrush at home. I have this battery-operated "electric" toothbrush for travel.

I switch out my manual toothbrush at home to a new one a few days before vacation. Then I take the old one with me on vacation and get rid of it when pack to come home. That way, I don't have to pack a wet toothbrush either time.

The sonic care ones usually hold a charge for a week. I always bring my sonic care with or without charger as you can still brush with the head. Teeth not clean with manual

Ours came with a travel case. I love it, and honestly it'll hold it's charge for a week no problem so no need to deal with the charger. My teeth are terrible, and for the first time in YEARS I was able to go to the dentist and have him tell me he's happy with how healthy my teeth are. I've used it just under a year now and can't imagine going back to a manual, even for just a few days.

I take my electric one with me. Plus the charger. It won't stay charged because it's so old. I haven't used a manual toothbrush in many many years. When this one finally dies I'll run right out and buy a replacement.

I adore my Sonicare. My teeth have never been in better shape since I started using it (I'm a mess of cavities, but it's been years since I've had a new one).
A few of us share a base and we just swap out the toothbrush heads. If we travel together, the Sonicare comes with us along with the travel charger. If it's just me, I'll grab a new manual brush (we have a ton of them, from the dentist office) so those at home can use the Sonicare.

I take my Sonicare. It will hold a charge for 2 weeks...and then a few more days. I always make sure it is fully charged prior to the trip. Sometimes I take the small charger "just in case." I have never had to charge it when traveling.
I hate using a manual brush now.

I bring my Sonicare with me. It holds a charge for 2 weeks, so I’m good for most trips. When we are gone longer in the summer, I bring one base that we all share and rotate who is charging. I deliberately bought the same brush for all of us so that we could swap out and buy the bulk packs of replacement heads.
If you aren’t sure how long your brush lasts on a charge, use it at home until the battery is dead. Then you will know how long you have.

On my recent trip I took a manual toothbrush instead of my electric one. Big mistake. My teeth never really felt clean until I came home to the electric one. I will be taking it on the next trip!

I bring new regular toothbrushes for each person when we go on vacation, and on the last day of vacation, we throw them in the trash. No messing with stupid toothbrush covers or wet brushes or whatever. I read this tip on a travel site many years ago, and it's one of the best travel tips I ever got. My hubby and son use an electric toothbrush here at home, but they manage fine without it for a week. I mean, people managed to clean their teeth adequately before there were electric toothbrushes!

I always take my electric with me. It came with a case and a mini charger. I brush too hard with a manual tooth brush and even with the soft ones I end up ripping my gums to shreds. My husband travels more frequently and I bought him a quip to keep in his travel toiletry bag. He said he likes it but it's not as powerful as the Sonicare. But the brush heads are only 5 dollars (it's like a subscription that comes with brush head and battery every 3 months), and it's very compact. So that might be an option if you're looking for something smaller.

I take my sonicare with me unless I'll be gone longer than 10 days. Then I take a battery powered version of a sonicare which doesn't clean as well but IMO still is 10x better than a manual brush.

Ya'll do know that if your electric toothbrush battery dies while on vacation it will still function as a manual toothbrush, right? (sorry to be a smartass. That thought just struck me as funny!)

I take a super cheap manual one with me and just throw it away at the end of the trip. The thought of brushing with it in the last morning and then having it in my bag wet all day and then using it again grosses me out.

I haven't used a manual toothbrush since before middle school. I bring my battery operated electric toothbrush in a ziplock bag in my carry-on. That way no one is touching it.

I haven't used an electric toothbrush since I was a kid! I didn't realize they were so popular. What is it you all like more about electric toothbrushes? I thought they were pretty expensive. I may have to think again about getting an electric toothbrush if they are affordable!
