sleepingbooty did your kit *finally* come??? Today should be the day, yes?? No. A big fat no. This order has been a nightmare from the start all the way to delivery. My stepfather intercepted the parcel delivery guy yesterday to check if he, by chance, had a parcel for me. He said there was nothing. He didn't stop this morning either. Around noon today, the status updated itself mentioning a failed delivery attempt yesterday (can I get a WTF) and that the parcel had been left at a post office. Except it did not say which one. As my mother's off work today, she just went to the two post offices nearby that are open. Neither has it. There is a chance it is at the third post office in their town but that one's only open in the morning. So, the waiting game begins/continues. Both postal workers she saw while trying to track it down told her that it's odd the delivery guy said there was nothing, didn't leave a failed delivery notice in their mailbox, didn't attempt a second delivery (which is automatically part of the service) and that the status update does not mention which post office it's been left at. One told her she needs to call in an official complaint today already. Current mood: redefining the limits of my wits' end Alright, time to fess up, who stuck pins in the miniature voodoo doll of my DD parcel? Come on. Start talking. Because there's some serious pro-level black magic going on and I think I deserve to be made business partner after all the trouble I've been put through. #myDDtelenovela #ontomorrowsepisode

OMG. I have to be honest and say that I would so be done. Done. Done. Done. I am SO sorry that this has been such a ridiculous situation for you!!! But but but... I can't be done. December has only begun and I pledged in front of you all I'd complete a DD album for once! I've been sketching spreads, making lists, planning where things might go. I must soldier on. I must save private December Daily replacement parcel. There are no other Paislee Press mini kits left to save my DD 2017. I've got to find my box of stuff! holy hell. I am so, so sorry! If this is what Hades has in store for sinning scrapbookers, I better not turn into Tantalus and start repenting... Seriously, I was in a proper bad mood for a good hour this afternoon when my mother let me know she couldn't find it. Back to my hopeful self right now! Let's see what tomorrow brings. *deep breath in* I aaaaaarrrrrggghhree!

Because there's some serious pro-level black magic going on and I think I deserve to be made business partner after all the trouble I've been put through. Not me, honest. You know, I could jump in my powered wheelchair and tootle over to France, stopping to recharge the battery, and deliver a kit to you in the time it's taken you to [not] get one....

Aaarrgh I really cannot believe all the hassles with your parcel sleepingbooty! I really hope it surfaces and you can make a start on your album. You and me both, anniefb, you and me both. I might need to travel to NZ to go chill on an island that's a 30-minute ferry ride away from "mainland" to console myself otherwise... You know, I could jump in my powered wheelchair and tootle over to France, stopping to recharge the battery, and deliver a kit to you in the time it's taken you to [not] get one.... Shall I put the kettle on and pop open a tin of Quality Street, JaneB? It's material stuff and nothing in comparison to a human loss like you went through recently. *hugs* Tomorrow is another day though and that third and final post office will be open in the morning so I gotta have faith, aaah, I gotta have faith 'cause I gotta have faith, faith, faith. I gotta have faith, faith, faith-aaah!

So beautiful anniefb, I seriously wish that I could live in the southern hemisphere half of the year to avoid all winter. So sorry sleepingbooty!! I can't believe what you've been through... I'm crossing my fingers you get it tomorrow! And then your December 1st story will have to be about the journey of your package.

Shall I put the kettle on and pop open a tin of Quality Street, Jane? Tea and Quality Street? I'll just get dressed and be right over, tut alors! Thanks for the hugs, and maybe it is only a kit but that's not the point. Your DD album is at stake here; you may be traumatised for life now... Meanwhile, my husband and I (ooh I sound like the Queen!) have decided to do a DD album, right through to my New Year's Day birthday. It's 5 x 5 with tabs, black card stock and some gold and silver foiled papers I've got lying around. I'm going arty with black and white photos and only 3 x 3 so it shouldn't be too challenging!

sleepingbooty I hope your parcel arrives soon. I'm still waiting for my FJ kit to arrive but I knew there was a risk it wouldn't be here by the first so although I'm disappointed it was at least expected. Your situation just sucks. JaneB your album sounds fabulous! I hope you'll share at least some of your pages.

THE DD PARCEL HAS BEEN FOUND! I repeat: THE DD PARCEL IS NO LONGER MIA! Long story short: 1. It was at the third and final post office; 2. Per my mother's lousy photo #notascrapper, it contains a partial Paislee Press mini kit, a partial set of the Colorful Christmas cards; the 2016 4x6 album (red) and the $1 million chipboard bundle ( nicolep , jealous much? ); 3. It doesn't contain the 2015 Kelly Purkey kit although I'd ordered it and it's still available (but my guess is that it wasn't available in the office and this parcel was put together by Katie herself, not Inked - or who knows how much longer I'd have had to wait for it ) (I'm totally cool - not upset - with this in case anyone's wondering); 4. I got my initial order reimbursed (29€-ish € per Paypal's reimbursement notice); 5. Customs duties were 43€ (US$51) for a declared value of $100 and all I can say is, Dayuuum! France is raking in big money, taxing VAT at 20% on both goods and initial shipping from the US to here (and adding an administrative fee for handling customs duties). French Peas: order either really small to avoid customs or really big to make the administrative fee worth it when getting goods from outside the EU, that's all I can say. 6. It will be an obstacle course right to the very end #whymakeiteasywhenitcanbecomplicated because, wait for it... I might not get to have it in my own hands today as IT IS FREAKIN' SNOWING ON THE MEDITERRANEAN SHORELINE RIGHT NOW! I kid you not. What the...? I don't even know what's happening, how it's possible. 2017 has been the year of confirmation that the world (and the climate) has gone mad and that now more than ever, it is vital to master the art of zen to survive. But hey, great pics for my DD album! #glasshalffullkindofgal 7. I. Am. So. Happy. Merci beaucoup katiejaeger With a bit of luck, I can start playing along with you all starting tomorrow. Can't wait! Thanks everyone for the support and putting up with my heavy sighing and stomping in the scrappy common room this past month. Looking forward to sharing the start to my December Daily(ish) very soon. JaneB Pop some snow tyres on your chair, hun. Also, yay on joining us for DD after all! Can't wait to see your tabby DD coming along. anniefb Packing my bikinis and sunnies, be right there... (beautiful pics, by the way) Chinagirl828 Redirecting all the good vibes in your direction. May your FJ goodies get there quickly!

I decided, as of yesterday, that I'm going to do a DD after all. I have a Simple Stories kit to use from a couple of years ago. You all have inspired me. sleepingbooty, I cannot believe it's snowing in the south of France! That is crazy! We had a 95 degree Thanksgiving here in LA. The weather has been out of whack this year, that's for sure. I hope you get your DD ingredients soon!

Oh my goodness, sleepingbooty ! everything that could go wrong seems to have gone wrong. Even the French postal system is against you. Not cool. But at least you (almost) finally have your things. Also, love the telenovella hashtags And anniefb, all I can say is, I can't wait until hubby decides we're ready to start snowbirding - we'll spend just enough time in the USA to avoid paying double taxes, but we'll be spending the summer holidays in NZ. I might even finally take that 30 minute ferry ride to Waiheke... It's sort of ridiculous that I lived in Auckland for 24 years and never made it there!

Until my DD goodies and I meet (tomorrow, yay!), I'm spending the end of the evening watching DD process videos for Day 1 on YouTube.
Ali's was actually really nice. I had bookmarked a Brandi Kincaid layout using numbers to indicate different items earlier this year and will definitely try to include something similar in my DD album:
And Beth Molony documented a local Christmas market using some digitals from One Little Bird and Paislee Press:

I'm still waiting for my FJ order which was mostly embellishments but I've put together the rest of my kit. The little diamond print paper is actually a 4x4 pad that was part of a Christmas kit I picked up in the SC mms and all the other papers have been pulled to match that. There's a few FJ papers in this kit too so I'm hoping the stuff I have on order will match given how similar her colour palettes are.

For all you Fuse owners, I came across a nice idea to do shaped sequin pockets in page protectors. Check out the video from Suzanna Lee: linkMight give this a go myself - it's about time I used my Fuse again
