I like this stamp : www.scrapbook.com/store/hro-s6245.html (sorry I'm link posting challenged) and think it would make a cute Christmas card front except I'm wondering for ideas for how to spice it up. I am thinking it would be sort of boring just stamped on the front of the card with nothing else... Ideas? Just curious... ETA: it made a clickable link for me, awesome... ETA2: I guess there is one idea in the video where they just put stuff in front of the stamped words, although the example is stamped in white on a green background and if I tried that it would never look that nice!

I would add a die cut or mask to add an image within the words.

Depending on what sort of paper you plan to use for your base, it would be neat to use Versamark to create a watermark background with it. Now no idea what I would do after that.... but it would be a start.

I'd use it as a background stamped in versamark or a light ink color. And then I'd add a Santa image (maybe in the middle of a cluster of other Christmas images like evergreen boughs) - all die cut or fussy cut. And then a banner with a sentiment.

I'm kind of a minimalist, apparently. I'd mat it or double mat it and let it speak for itself.

I wanted this stamp as soon as I saw it. Until, like you, I wondered what I would do with it. I'm still going to look for it at my local craft store where I can use a coupon. But I'll probably only use it as a shelf decoration.

I don't know how big it is, but if you think the detail would hold up to it, I'd heat emboss the whole thing in shiny red on white card stock, and give it a red border. Done.

Stamp it in brown. These will be your focal base images.
Then stamp it in green and red and maybe royal. (If you are feeling ambitious, stamp a couple more with embossing powder and emboss in gold.)
Take your colored images and trim each quote WITHIN the brown lines. Mount them over their matching sentiment on each black one. Mix and match the various colors. Then mount on the colored cardstock that makes the sentiments pop the most. (Will probably vary based on the color mix you put on each one.)

You have always been a part of the heist. You're only mad now because you don't like your cut.

Cute stamp. I'd stamp it on white or cream cardstock. Then I'd mat it on solid cardstock-just enough to provide an outline, then put it on a printed background. I'd add small emellishments on the corners-small die cuts or stickers.

Thank you! You've given me an idea of what to do with a similar sized Hero Arts stamp I've had for years. I bought it from a Pea several years ago. It has Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year large in the middle. With a background of tiny "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" all over. I had all these plans for it but I only stamped it a few times and heat embossed it. So hard to do what I wanted to do with it on a wood block. I'm going to drag it out, peel it off the block and put it on cling mount so that I can use it on my homemade stamp press. That way, I can use the cats eye/dew drop pads to ink the color I want on the words I want. Might even heat emboss it. I'm going to do some white on red cardstock, and maybe on red cardstock, do the background white and the big words gold or silver. It would be a nice simple card front since MOST of my cards inside are popup cards. Either a popup Christmas tree or another scene on a pop up. Good grief, I thought I was going to have to "fight" it. I just grabbed a hold of the rubber and it came right off! Excuse me, I've got to get busy! What I'd do with that one, is put on a stamp press, have each section or strip across a different color. Do a fancy border and then a popup inside. But then I'm a pop up freak.

Stamp it with VersaMark on any colour pp you like, then heat emboss with gold or silver ep. Or White ep on a red background? Then mat it in the same colour as your ep, and glue to a white card base.
Guess now we found the spelling error, you need to pop up a die cut over that part of the stamped image.

I purchased this stamp a few weeks ago from Simon Says Stamp. Hero Arts Christmas Poster BackgroundThe picture of the stamp on the Simon Says Stamp website has the error. I went and looked at my stamp and both the image on top of the stamp and the red rubber stamping part are correct. Hero Arts must have caught the mistake before they had the stamps manufactured. At least the stamp I just purchased is correct.

I think it could be fun to stamp it in black but then highlight one of the phrases only in red - maybe embossed. then use diets or other stamps to match the phrase. Like for the stocking line you could run a line of string under the phrase and hang stockings. If you did one of the santa images you could use an appropriate santa image. Even the night before Christmas you could make like a scene of a village or house on Christmas with just that phrase highlighted and the rest fading into the scene. I hope this makes sense. lol

If you wanted to do something more elaborate you could do a tri-fold card. For the front, stamp the sentiment on vellum and create a window opening to mount it onto. For the middle, mount a family photo so that the vellum will sit on top when the card is folded and the photo will peek through. The third panel can have your holiday greeting. Hope that makes sense.
Heaven forbid I make a simple Christmas card, mine are always a production!
