I was born and raised just north of Boston and it had Worcester, Providence and NYC listed for me. Worcester and Providence aren’t too far away.

Mine gave me 2 cities in my state (pretty much the only 2 large cities in my state of Kentucky) and Little Rock, Arkansas. Oddly accurate (except for Little Rock but evidently I'd fit in as far as speech goes there.)

I am in Canada but took the quiz anyway. The 3 cities identified were all close to the 49th.

Does anybody here call sprinkles jimmies? yes- that's what I grew up saying. I didn't see that question in the quiz; where is that word used? (besides NW Illinois, that is, lol!) jimmies are chocolate and sprinkles are multi-coloured ( I *think* I learnt that in RI but I'm not positive)

That quiz (which I've taken before) has a difficult time with my combination of midwestern born/raised, and 20 years spent in Texas, including the very Houston-specific word, "feeder road."

Sometimes I get Illinois/Michigan/Wisconsin on these, which kind of makes sense because I was raised by Midwesterners. I grew up in Southern California and have been in Arizona the last 15 years.
This test pegged me at Iowa or Nebraska--where I have no ties at all!

This quiz gives mixed results for those of us who migrated to California from elsewhere. I got several Northern California cities, but live in Southern California, based on my childhood use of the term crawdad. I've taken a similar quiz before and got Bakersfield, CA. Pretty interesting, anyway.
When I was young, most of my friends in California were originally from somewhere else in the US. Even now, there are often more fans for the opposing team than local LA teams at sporting events. We're a melting pot, but close to developing our own identity here in CA.

Mine was spot on. I've lived in Annapolis, MD for the past 24 years but it's a small city so it came up with Washington DC (45 minutes away), Baltimore MD (also 45 minutes away in the other direction) and Arlington, Va (where I lived for 7 years before I moved to Annapolis. Before that I moved around to a lot of different places in my life. I counted them up once and I've lived in 23 different places. I too started off life as an army brat.
There were some terms I used to use for items that I don't use anymore. Like tennis shoes instead of sneakers. And coke instead of soda. Living in one place for the past 24 years (which does feel really weird but nice because I do love it here) has solidified my speech terms for the words people use around here for things. I learned English when we lived in Mississippi for 2 years so my father could go to Mississippi State on the GI bill to finish his degree. This was when we first came to the USA from Germany. I'm sure the terms they used down there were much different than the ones used here for different things. After that we moved to Maryland for a few years and then to Virginia.

Dead on for me. Some of the words and phrases I did not choose were words my dad and his parents used, but did not carry over to me. My dad was raised in Wyoming, I wasn’t.

Mine was off, but I think that is because I don't always use the words people around me use. I call fizzy drinks "soda" but most people actually from around here don't. But, I like it better then "pop" or "coke". And even though I have lived in one spot my entire speaking life, my parents moved a lot when they were little and I know I picked up words from them and my grandparents,
The quiz was fun though, there was a whole lot of stuff I had never heard of on there!

I got New York, Yonkers and Jersey City. I sound nothing like people from those places! I thought I may have got Boston or Connecticut. Same side of the country at least. I had to tick quite a few "other" boxes eg. the strip of grass between the footpath (not sidewalk ) and the road is called the nature strip here. I was surprised that "soft drink" was an option for soda because I've never heard an American call it soft drink (which is what we call it here). ETA: @dottyscrapper I just saw that you got the same areas that I did.

Well, my friend calls the multi colored "barf sprinkles", but at least sprinkles is in there.

That was cool! It totally pegged me. I was born/raised in Cleveland. My three cities were Cleveland, Toledo, and Rockford. I live in the Chicago area now.
My dh, born and raised in Chicagoland, got Naperville, Aurora, and Cleveland. It pretty much nailed him, too. He got two IL cities and one OH city, to my two OH cities and one IL city.
I think our biggest difference is that he calls them 'gym shoes' and I grew up saying 'tennis shoes'. LOL.
