I have seen Mamma Mia and Rock of Ages in Vegas. Both were so fun!
We are going in November and I don't see any musicals like that at the moment. What other shows would be cool to go to with my dad and best friend? And would be worth the ticket price?

I just went to Vegas for the first time with my 21 year old son last weekend. The only "show" we went to was the Nine Inch Nails concert, which was what we were mostly going for, and decided to make a long weekend out of it. I'm interested to see what everyone enjoyed though because I want to go back, and will have more time to plan in advance what I'm going to do. I think I might go with a couple girlfriends in the spring.

Beatles Love
It's a Cirque du Soliel. Loved it so much, and would go to Vegas just for that show alone.

Terry Fator. He is an amazing singing ventriloquist. We went with a group or I would never have seen him. It didn't sound good to me. I was WRONG!!!
He is amazing and we all loved his show.
I also like Celine Dion. Harrah's has a comedy club that we enjoyed, as well as their dueling piano bar.

My sil just went for her 50th. They saw Elton John and Donny and Marie. She loved them both. They also saw Terry Fator and loved it but wanted tickets to Mat Franco but it was sold out.

We were there at the end of September and really enjoyed Carrot Top. We couldn't remember the last time we laughed that hard and he is non-stop energy the whole time. He isn't everyone's cup of tea with the props, but we would totally go back and see him again.
We also saw Zumanity and I wouldn't recommend it for the money. Of course, that's assuming you would go see it with your Dad! The show itself was beautifully done and the acrobatics we did see were AMAZING! But they did way too many skits where they brought people up on stage. Not just one or two, but easily 6-8 different skits with people from the audience. I went in knowing they had that, but I felt like for what we paid there was more skits with the audience than the Cirque show we paid for.

We saw Beatles "Love" years ago and loved it. I think they have changed it up.
Last month we saw Blue Man Group - 3rd time - never again. Same ole', same ole'. We also saw Brad Garrett. He's a little harsh but very funny and has 2 other comedians with him. Love how off the cuff he is.

La Reve (seen it twice) and it's way way better than O. Mystere was good, more like a traveling Cirque show than a temporary one. Saw Mamma Mia, Celine, Holly Madison's Peepshow.

My favorite show is Absinthe, although Iām not sure I would want to take my dad. š O and Ka were both excellent. Yeah, and put a dad up in the front row and you have instant humor, but not the kind most dads are looking for! I loved the uniqueness of that show though. We've not been to a bad show in Vegas. There's so much music, dancing, nipples, and comedy available. The MGM has great comedians. The magicians have all been good too and I'm not really a magician kind of girl. We saw the half naked Cirque show which was good too. And take the bus down to Fremont Street one evening and watch the light show outside. It plays on the hour after dark.

Vegas is sorely missing a musical right now! Rock of Ages was my favorite show ever.
You can't go wrong with any of the cirque shows. I've seen several and loved them all.
Also, not a show, but the High Roller observation wheel is really fun. We did it at night and it was worth the $ for sure. Don't pay more for the all you can drink drinking ticket. You can take any food/drink onto the regular pods and there is a concession stand on your way up.

We will give Cirque another chance when we go, but I'm going to have to try to pretend we never even saw Zumanity.

We just went in August. We've already seen three Cirque shows, so we went to Absinthe. We definitely enjoyed it, but it was different than Cirque, by far. I wouldn't want to see it with my Dad. š
Really, you can't go wrong with a Cirque show.

O by Cirque du Soleil. I wanted to go, DH had decided that he didn't like Cirque, having never seen them (men ), so he didn't want to go. I won. He sat there totally enthralled throughout the entire performance. Told ya.

Blue Man Group was one of the highlights of my life. I loved it. Penn and Teller are really fun and any Cirque show is great. However, I'd always say go to Blue Man Group. Great entertainment, weird and fun.

Love LaReve at the Wynn, Love is my favorite Cirque show although they are all fantastic (except Zumanity) Absinthe is great but not a show to take Dad to! Terry Fator show is great-have seen it several times and never bored. Carrot Top puts on a great show. Circus 1908 at Paris is good too. There is a new show at Rio called WOW that looks like a Cirque show but itās not and is terrible.

Another vote here for "OMG, I had no idea Carrot Top was so hysterical!"
Seriously. He was always so annoying in those AT&T commercials. I did not want to see him in Vegas but got dragged to his show. I've been back 4 times since. It's great!
My favorite though is ONE.

I lost count how many times my husband leaned over and whispered āthank you for getting balcony seatsā. With how many people they brought on stage, the odds were good you were going to get picked the night we went if your seating was on the floor.

But yes, they are pretty brutal if you fit a certain stereotype that many dads fit into.
