LOL ohh this could be an open ended ?? or I'm really tired lol. Dh is in need of a new recliner? Does your DH/SO sit in a recliner when watching tv or just relaxing? Dh also had chronic back issues but his chair is leaning sideways so I don't think that helps lol! Just wanna see if other Dh's sit an a recliner? Are they dedicated to it? Should also note that Dh does the "that's my spot" to the dog because she sometimes like to climb in hit before he gets home! lol! I really want to get him a new one maybe Christmas.

my DH is weird. he will lay on his stomach on the floor watching hockey while kids are sprawled out on couch and chair in the living room. my back hurts just looking at him. i do have fond memories of the lazyboy recliner in my basement when growing up.

No, no recliner here. He sits to my right on the sofa so I can put my feet in his lap and he massages them while we watch tv

on the sofa and when he gets tired, he sprawls out. He has a bunch of junk that has to be close at hand where he sits. Being retired we do a lot of "sitting"

DH sits in the recliner. In fact, he just bought a new one because the old one was, um, so well loved.

We have a sofa, love seat, and chair. All have recliners in each piece. He chooses the couch and uses one of the recliners (but just at night). During the day, he will just sit on the couch regularly. I lay on the love seat and rarely use the recliner portion.

DH is on his second recliner. The first got to the point it was gross and worn out, yet he didn't want to give it up. (Remember the dad's recliner from the Fraiser show? Yuck!) I ended up buying a second one and just had it delivered to the house one day. Even then, he was reluctant to give up his old chair. He finally made the trasition and now loves the new recliner. It's not my favorite design look for our living room, but he loves it and he deserves to be comfortable after a long day at work.
The first recliner was so nasty we couldn't give it to a charity, we actually put it on our burn pile and I happily lit the match.

He sits on the couch with his feet up on the ottoman. Same spot every evening. I sit on the other end of the couch.

When I'm home we sit together on the sofa so we can snuggle.

I'm the one with a specific seat...lol I sit in between 2 cushions on the couch but to one side. Funny thing is if I walk in the living room SO will get up to let me sit there. So I guess it's my designated spot.
SO sits on the couch. Not the recliner. He most the time sprawls over the entire couch.

Not a recliner, but a deep, comfy chair with an ottoman in front of it.

Our family room furniture all reclines. He sits on "his" end of the couch with his feet up. He only actually reclines the back for a nap. Patter I like the loveseat, too. But, all the new reclining loveseats seem to have a console/cup holder in the middle. I HATE it. It's ugly.

Sprawled across the sofa. We don't have a recliner, nor has he expressed interest in one.

We just junked our old recliner. DH was using it to sleep after his accident but it was done. He now sprawls on the couch, but before his accident, he had what we all called “Archie's seat” on the couch. Like Sheldon from BBT, DH has his spot. He even says the cushion has his butt indent perfectly! Lol.
I sit on the love seat.

Short answer: we each have a designated recliner.
Full answer: we just moved into this home during the summer. We spend most of our time in the "keeping room". We originally wanted a small sectional, but we just couldn't make it work in this space. So, we kept his well-worn recliner, and I got one of my own.

we have a recliner, love seat, and couch. DH rotates between all three and the floor. I'm a recliner only person - the light is best for reading there and it's hard for me to get up off the couch (lower and soft) and it doesn't have as much support

Recliner for DH. I sit on sofa that has pop up foot rest.

DH sits in the recliner. I was hesitant at first to buy one, but I found a beautiful distressed leather one at Lazy Boy that has legs. I don't think I've seen him sit anywhere else in the family room. It's his chair. What is it about men and recliners?
We have an L-shaped small sectional and I recline on the chaise lounge part.

We share the couch. Growing up we never had a recliner ever. I'm sure because of this, I have never owned one.

He sits on one end of the leather couch and it’s definitely his spot. He likes it because it sits higher and firmer making it easier for him to get up (artificial hip and knee).
I have a club chair and ottoman that the family refers to as “my nest.” It’s one of my happy places!

Dh and I sit on the couch that has recliners and ds sits in the chair that reclines. Our furniture is falling apart after only 4 years, so once we finish painting and replacing the flooring, we will be getting new furniture again.

The first recliner was so nasty we couldn't give it to a charity, we actually put it on our burn pile and I happily lit the match. OMG, our DHs must be related! Mine had a Big Man La-Z-Boy chair (yes, it’s a thing) and he love-love-LOVED that thing until it started falling apart. Even once it was replaced he couldn’t bring himself to get rid of the old one, putting it out on the front porch ( ) of our nice, traditional suburban home. Who does that? I think now that a bunch of wasps claimed it late last summer and started building a hive under some of the head rest cushions, maybe now (PLEASE!!!) we’ll be able to finally get rid of it. Now his replacement chair is ready for the burn pile IMO after only four years. He’s pretty hard on his chairs. My chair, on the other hand, was my dad’s easy chair and has to be over 60 years old. It’s been recovered at least five times and it’s still going strong! To answer the other question in the OP, yes, we both have dedicated “that’s my spot, get out” chairs. Mine has wide flat armrests though, and DD sometimes sits on one of the armrests next to me just like I did when I was her age and the chair was my dad’s.

My DH also has back issues. He sits on a recliner we bought from Lazy Boy. It has good lumbar support and a remote control to cause it to recline. He loves it. And it does help his back.

No recliners here, just a sectional couch. We change up the seats often. I can't make myself buy a recliner although I know he lusts over them.

We have an overstuffed chair that we used to play fight over whose chair it was and who gets to sit in it. We usually sat equally in it. However, between the kids and now worse the beagle who constantly sits on the top smooshing the pillow out of whack. It's now all dh's! It's so deformed.
Yesterday he tried to sell me on a recliner at Costco. We will be looking to replace the chair soon.
Good luck on your search.

We have two recliners and a big couch in our living room. DH will sit in the spot that is directly facing the TV no matter how I arrange the furniture. So if the couch is facing the TV he'll sit on the cushion on that couch that is directly facing the TV exclusively, and if I put the recliner there he'll sit there and only there until I move things again. It's like Sheldon Cooper and his spot... sometimes I want to get a really uncomfortable chair and put it in that spot and see what happens...

Dh sits in "his" leather recliner, facing the TV. I sit on one end of our couch which reclines.
