I wonder if those who claimed the Russia investigation was a nothingburger are eating it with a big ole serving of crow ? With a side of EMAILS!!* and a sprinkling of BENGHAZI!! * the beauty of this is that emails could feature prominently in the case against Flynn and others.

Mark Harris tweets, "Fox News is very close to just going to a blank screen and playing military band music.'' except for Shep Smith... this is stuff we allready knew? And he only plead guilty to one charge. Even the Dem senetor Warner stated that they still have no evidence of collusion. He's being very careful about what he's saying? He just kept saying they needed more facts. Keep telling yourself that. Nixon didn't actually break in to Watergate either, you did know that didn't you? You need to google "obstruction of justice", not "evidence of collusion".

Treason! An American working with Russia against America!
Maybe look at his military record.... Does he really need the government pension, does he deserve it?!

Flynn was charged and pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI (good question to ask - why and what was he lying about? If he's completely innocent, why lie?). Multiple sources report that he is cooperating with the FBI and allege that Flynn said he was ordered by others in high positions in the administration to contact Russia. So even if say Kushner didn't make phone calls to Russia himself, it is still problematic if he told Flynn to do so. Similar to Nixon still got in trouble, although he wasn't the one that physically broke into the Watergate.

I hadn't heard about the clergy. do you have a link? Here you go: Faith Leaders ArrestedI originally read about it and saw a video on the Sojourners Facebook page. "On Wednesday, a group of more than 2,400 faith leaders hailing from Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Sikh, Buddhist, and other faith traditions signed onto a letter addressed to Senate leadership decrying the bill. They listed a number of issues with the proposed legislation, such as how it would disproportionately benefit the wealthy, balloon the deficit, and eliminate the Affordable Care Act’s individual mandate—a move that will increase the number of uninsured Americans by 13 million by 2025, according to the Congressional Budget Office." "After several others spoke, Wallis and others were detained, handcuffed, and escorted away by police while they prayed." And we need to live together too!

I wonder about the RefuPeas who have said numerous times that there couldn’t possibly be anything to the investigation because it had gone on “so long” (which in itself was crazy thinking) and no charges had been brought.

Flynn issues statement on guilty plea: My actions were 'wrong' BY JOHN BOWDEN - 12/01/17 11:53 AM EST Former national security adviser Michael Flynn issued a statement Friday acknowledging his actions were "wrong" after pleading guilty to lying to the FBI in the ongoing special counsel investigation. In the statement released by his lawyers, Flynn refuted accusations of "treason" that have been made against him, but apologized for lying to investigators. Flynn has made a plea deal with Mueller's team that ensures the former Trump administration official's full cooperation with the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. "It has been extraordinarily painful to endure these many months of false accusations of 'treason' and other outrageous acts," Flynn said in his statement."The actions I acknowledged in court today were wrong, and, through my faith in God, I am working to set things right," he added. "My guilty plea and agreement to cooperate with the Special Counsel's Office reflect a decision I made in the best interests of my family and my country."

— Byron Tau (@byrontau) December 1, 2017The statement and move by Flynn come after days of speculation that the former national security adviser was cooperating with Mueller's team following reports that Flynn terminated his information-sharing agreement with President Trump's legal team. Flynn is the first Trump administration official to be brought down by Mueller's investigation. The sentence for the charge carries a maximum of five years in prison.thehill.com/homenews/administration/362780-flynn-issues-statement-on-guilty-plea-my-actions-were-wrongI wonder what his definition of treason is, because I’m guessing that it is different than mine.

Further explains the mad push to quick vote on this tax bill. Need to get it passed before all the chips fall, to pay off donors. I just asked this question on Twitter, but I'll likely get a quicker, easier to understand answer here. But if they DO get half the GOP, or just in general this is bad enough to result in the GOP losing control of the Congress & the Senate (do I have the names right?) can't the Dems just repeal/rewrite the tax bill? So then it's dead anyway, if they can pass it with enough votes to be veto proof. I swear I read somewhere that there is a threshold of support in the Congress & the Senate that you can reach which results in the president being unable to veto a bill.

They’ll go down with him screaming that he was somehow brought down by Obama, Hillary and the fake news.

Family loyalty is going to be tested, Jared Kushner is going to go down, I have absolutely no doubt. Someone should have paid attention to Daddy, and learned breaking the law will catch up with you. So many like Father like Son jokes waiting to be written.
My guess, Trump will let Jared go, but if it touches Trump Jr., the pardons will fly.

If anyone wants to further understand how plea deals might work in laymen's terms, I posted a thread the other day about a lawyer who has broke it down in several tweets she's pinned to the top of her twitter profile. It's long and will take time to read, but worth the effort. She specifically addresses Flynn. Flynn Joint Defense Agreements

The crazy thing is, that since I'm going to hell and all for not being a far right conservative Christian who thinks Trump is God's will, my father never comments or 'likes' anything I post on my own Facebook page. Heaven forbid though if I post on something political like my Senator, Congressperson or Governor, because he will be all over that. To him, Flynn means nothing. Even if the Trump administration colluded with Russia, to him it was far more preferable than Clinton. And I daresay if he was an Alabama resident, he'd be on Team Moore.

You think the Republicans in the House will grow a set and go after Trump? Or after the 2018 Elections and the theory of the House flipping? I think if Trump goes as far as pardoning family, he'll pardon himself too, and set up one hell of a court battle on if any President can do that. Sure wish we had some settled law on that. Guess we've been lucky as a country in a way to not know the answer. I also believe Mueller is working with State Attorney Generals, to run around any potential pardons. Possibly even if we get a Ford/Nixon situation, with Pence/Trump.

Midterms next year could be one of the most important ever. Only if the house flips will we see any possibility of any action on this. There have been articles about the involvement of State AG's - I'm not sure the technicalities of federal vs state crimes and what charged they can also bring in a state, but I'm sure they are on it (I know NY State's AG is). Pardons are a concern, as well as if he fires Mueller. Which to me would look an awful lot like an admission of guilt. If he had just let Comey finish out the investigation, he might not have been in this mess in the first place.

But, and I’m just thinking out loud, I am hoping that there are still enough Republicans that have a sense of wrong and right that if incontrovertible evidence of Trump’s collusion comes to light that enough will join the Democrats and call for Impeachment. I may be delusionally hopeful, but I can wish.
