No where near as many as most of you...I read 16 this year. That is A LOT for me, I generally read 4-6 per year.

I just finished number 60, expect to read 4 more by the end of the year.
This is the most I've read since I've started keeping track. I've been setting a goal of 52, but have only gotten into the 40's before this year.
I don't use Goodreads because I wasn't good at keeping track that way. I just keep a simple spreadsheet. Having a goal and keeping track motivate me to keep read more. I just wish I could read faster.

I'm only at 36 so far this year, and according to Goodreads, I"m 10 books behind schedule right now. I don't see me reaching my goal, which was only 50 this year. I watch to much tv and spend to much time puttering around online. I like being able to add books so I'll remember them later, and have it tell me if I've already read something I'm trying to add.

I read 28 books this year and 24 of those were by the end of February. Then...life.

14. I really lost my reading mojo when my mom died 2 years ago. She belonged to 6 book clubs and we shared and discussed books all the time. I just had a lot of trouble picking up a new one. For whatever reason (mourning is a strange phenomenon), I finally started reading in earnest again and 9 of the 14 books were read since August. Me as well Peabay. My grandmother and I shared a love for reading and always talked about the books. After she passed I have found it hard to get back into full time reading.

My goal was 24 and I’m at 21, getting ready to finish 2. I doubt if I will get one more in but I’m going to try! I’m happy with it though. It’s the closest I’ve come to reaching my goal in years. I’m going to go for 30 for next year.

I set my goal at 60 this year after reading 57 for the last three years in a row. But I am at 89!! I started walking on a daily basis and listen to audiobooks while I walk so I am averaging 2 books a week instead of one. I always wished I could read faster and more and this has felt like a little extra secret time to read more! I would love to make it to 100 but I don't think that will happen.

Sadly...only 12. I usually read so many more, but I have made some really crappy choices this year in my books. I just haven't wanted to read like I usually do.

26! Goal was 15. I tend to read more in the summer and then usually one a month after that. I did make it my goal to read at least 20 min per day but I only lasted a month lol!

I’m not asking this with any snark, but why do you ladies or people in general keep track of the number of books you read each year? I know I read around 2 books a week, give or take what my schedule is like. But I’ve never kept track of the actual number. I track my books on GoodReads so I can make recommendations to friends, remember what I read and remember when I read it. Before I started using GoodReads in 2007, I used a spreadsheet. It helps when I'm browsing a bookstore to confirm that I have read a book that sounds familiar, or something else by a featured author.

You have read 121 of 60 books in 2017. To be fair, I mark it as "read" even if I didn't finish it all because it was too bad. There haven't been many, but it certainly happens.

I know I read around 2 books a week, give or take what my schedule is like. But I’ve never kept track of the actual number. I just keep track in a journal, and I just like looking back and seeing what books I've read, not necessarily for keeping track of how many I read each year. I think it's funny when I see trends in my reading, for example reading books by the same author in the same time of year. Like other people have posted, I wish I would have started earlier! I started in 2013, so I only have a few years, but I do enjoy looking back at the books I have read over the years. I do know that since I started keeping track, the number of books I read per year has gone higher and higher. I think this year I'm at 50 something or so.

I'm at 58 with 3 in progress right now. My goal was 52. I track everything on GoodReads. They'll tally up the # of pages read and send an custom infographic at the end of the year with all the book covers, the longest book, the shortest book, the highest rated etc. Wow, I didn't know you could do that on Goodreads! I do go on Goodreads after I read a book to read reviews and see what other people thought, but I keep track of what I've read the old-fashioned way, with just a journal and a pen. Maybe I'll have to start using Goodreads so I can see more the data, just for my curiosity.

I've only read 17 books, on #18 right now. I just looked back at my good reads challenges and the most I've ever read in a year (since keeping track) is 24 in 2012. That was the year I got my kindle. I also have a baby that wakes up almost every single night which both helps and hurts my reading. Many nights I can't fall right back asleep so I read and that helps. But then I'm so tired the next night, I pass out by 9:30!
I'm going to set an ambitious goal for 2018 - 30 books! If I didn't waste so much time scrolling on phone, I would read so much more.

I love seeing how many readers we have here! My dh and one of my sons likes to read. Other than that I seem to be surrounded by non-readers.

Gosh I have no idea, I never thought to keep track. So I am thinking I probably have read about 12?? Average one a month? Maybe a little more than that though.. 15??
