I have been keeping a list and I have read 40 books. I have also written down the number of pages. I need to add the pages up.
Man, I love books!

Very few. It's not been a good year. Two of them did have quite a few pages though.

I'm not sure but it never seems enough. My to be read pile is huge, both on my kindle and actual books.

I haven’t kept track, but next year I’m going to start. I’m also going to start keep track of the books read for book club, and what month and year. We are always trying to remember when or if we have read certain books.

I think that I am at 93 books. I way exceeded my goal. I watch maybe an hour of TV a day even on weekends. I much prefer reading.

So far this year it's only 48. Not quite as many as prior years since I don't commute anymore (audio books!). I've been keeping track since 2012. My highest year was 2015 with 71. Next year I should add pages to the list.

If we get a new member I forward the list to them so they don't pick one we've already read when it's their turn.

I have no idea. Too many text books and required reading. I did finish four classics in the past five weeks!

Happy Reading 🤩📚

14. I really lost my reading mojo when my mom died 2 years ago. She belonged to 6 book clubs and we shared and discussed books all the time. I just had a lot of trouble picking up a new one. For whatever reason (mourning is a strange phenomenon), I finally started reading in earnest again and 9 of the 14 books were read since August.

I’m sure she’s smiling that you’ve read 9 books since August. I bet that makes her happy 😊

I've read 55 that I've tracked on Goodreads and probably a dozen more that I don't publicly acknowledge.

I think I've read 75. Been a slow reading year. I used to read 4-6 books a month or more but I have been busier this year.

I had a very long reading hiatus after I had pregnancy loss. I had even gone so far as to pick up the last Harry Potter book at midnight just prior and it honestly took me about 4-5 years before I got to this book I had so greatly anticipated. I can't explain why, but my interest did return.

I am up to 113.
I have kept track since 1993 - the most I have read in a year was 139; the least was 91.

77 so far, would like to make it to 100. I don't watch much TV, but spend a lot of free time surfing the web/reading message boards/FB.

According to Goodreads 61 for me so far this year. I read 1-2 books a week. Looks like some weeks it was one book, but I also took that month long trip to Europe and didn't read at all during that month-was much too busy. Hoping next year to up my count. I did set a goal this year (for 60 books) for the first time but I found out that I didn't enjoy it. I am such a perfectionist that I felt anxious about meeting that goal throughout the year and that took the joy away from reading-something I never want to happen. So next year I'm not setting a goal and just getting back to reading and seeing how many I end up with.
Also I hit a bug on the Goodreads website and I've been keeping track along with my reviews here on our wonderful weekly book review thread. The bug means that sometimes it doesn't add books to my Read list that I have posted as finished reading. Very frustrating. So far I've only come across 2, but I've only been able to go back about 4 months and the bug just occurred recently. Hopefully Goodreads will fix it soon.

I keep track every year. I've averaged around 120 books a year for the past ten years, but last year I went down to 73. This year I went down to 52 and I can't imagine I'l add more than one or two before the end of the month. I blame the Internet, and the political and religious blogs and FB groups I follow. But I feel like I'm losing my ability to concentrate and take in information in larger than paragraph-sized chunks! So next year I'm really going to try to bring my number back up. I miss reading.

I could see this happening to me when I lose my mom. She and I like a lot of the same books and we have long phone conversations about books. She tells people she's in a book club with her daughter. I'm glad your reading mojo is coming back!

I couldn't read for the longest time after my parents died. I've heard similar comments from others too, must be a grief thing. I'm sorry for your loss, and I hope you soon find enjoyment again in books.
