Yesterday I made soups that my mil could freeze. Last night dinner was Tuscan Bean Stew. Tonight it'll be PW's chicken and noodles. I hope that she'll enjoy the soup. Tuscan Bean Stew is made w/ garlic, but I'm hoping she'll like it anyway. She's hates garlic and that I cannot understand. Currently, I'm getting stared down by two very hungry pussycats. I should get up and feed them before they decide that I would make a tasty brunch.
What's on your menu?
Have a great day.

Tonight is our second HelloFresh meal of the week, something like honey-glazed pork tenderloin with roasted sweet potatoes. Last night was chicken parm, which I've never actually made before, and now I realize why. I don't really like chicken with my Italian sauce and cheese and pasta. I like sausage or ground beef. I kept thinking it didn't taste right with the chicken. So now ya know.

I too like to order it at restaurants (because I don't eat sushi, but everyone else does), but I've never been able to get it right at home. I'll be watching your thread.

I might do curry tonight. I can't remember if we had it last week or not. DS loves it so it's always a win for him. I could make it for him, though. I have to get some pork cutlets and maybe some more panko crumbs. It's early. Dad will be eating at the club as it's Men's Night. I will ask DS what he wants and see.

I'm reheating the left over chilli for dinner tonight. I still think there will be some left even then - maybe DH can have it for lunch when he gets home on Saturday!

It’s our 26th Wedding Anniversary today so we’re going to the local restaurant - it’s walking distance from our home - I’ll have beer battered cod and chips and hubby will have steak and chips. There may be a few beers/wines as well

After my Diabetes Basics class last night, DH and I went to Macaroni Grill where I had a salad with Parmesan Crusted Chicken. It was delicious and I saved half for lunch today. On Monday we will attend a Nutrition class where I'll find out all the stuff I've been eating is a no-no. Maybe I'll make baked chicken for dinner.

For our dining pleasure this evening we will be enjoying something fast and easy because we have another 8th grade basketball game that starts at 4:15 and lasts for 3 games....last week our player played in the last two games so this week we might not go until 5 or so except the bleachers fill up pretty quickly and I like to sit down, not stand in the doorway. I thought maybe I would copy something from one of the dinner tribe but nobody is having quick and easy yet......Maybe some frittatas with mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, and a little garlic....that sounds good and quick for when we get home from the game.
Happy Thursday Everybody!

I hope it isn't the dash diet that they point you to because it kind of sucks at first and then stuff at restaurants start tasting too salty and not as good as freshly cooked food.....I am sure that a good part of your diet is ok because it always sounds good to me......LOL

Happy Anniversary, JoP!
We had burgers last night, instead of the pork. If BF cooks, I'm up for anything he makes! Tonight, I have to sing at mass, so will not make it home for dinner. I'll have to forage when I get home, so perhaps the pork will be there still. If not, I'll make a grilled cheese sandwich, I think.

Happy anniversary JoP. lucyg I'm with you. Red sauce needs sausage or beef not chicken. I left work at noon. I feel like I am coming down with a sinus infection. My head hurts and I just can't seem to wake up today. I think I have a can of soup in the basement and I can throw together a grilled cheese.

'Tis the season for office parties during the day and activities in the evenings and I'm not sure who will be home and hungry for dinner, so I have no idea what dinner, if one is needed, will be. I can assure you that no one in my household will go to bed hungry. Happy Anniversary to you and your husband, JoP!

We have rain and strong winds today, and tomorrow we will get frost again. I think I might wrap myself in bubblewrap before venturing out tomorrow (my shoulder still hurts after my fall two weeks ago).
Dinner? Just spaghetti bolognaise......but after dinner I made chocolate chip and almond cookies. So now my right arm hurts as well, because I was too lazy to drag out my KitchenAid thingy from the deepest recesses of the pantry. They were delicious, though.

Happy Anniversary JoP and Mr. Pascoepea. Enjoy your date night!
Dinner around here is either going to be eggs and bacon or blt's. Whatever happens it's going to involve bacon! You can never go wrong with bacon!

If I can manage my high blood pressure without meds I bet you have a good chance managing your diabetes with diet and exercise too. I will be sending good thoughts for a wonderful blood test in three months. Also sorry I am not sure what happened to the rest of your last post I quoted.

Tonight is the annual holiday party for dh's real estate brokerage so we are going to that ... free food and drinks (even though I don't drink) ... works out for dh because I'm the designated driver Oh, and I'm wearing a dress so I have to shave my legs ... something I rarely do It is more fun for him than for me because he knows these people but I do my best ... I really try to support him in his business and this is just one way So I don't have to cook We'll probably pick up Subway for the dd's Happy anniversary JoP

Happy anniversary JoP! DH is in Los Angeles for the night and DD working, so I'm tempted to be lazy. I know DS would be thrilled with the popcorn shrimp that is in the freezer. I just made up a big bowl of tuna salad, so we could go with tuna melts instead. DD has pulled out the pumpkin pie we froze after Thanksgiving so I'll let you know later if it survived being frozen. In other news, our humidity has dropped to 5%, winds are up to 20 mph and gusting higher and DH asked me to make sure all the cars have full tanks and our emergency stuff is ready to go. Everyone around here is feeling nervous about the fire conditions.

Stir fried veggies and a piece of formerly frozen fish. I’m now banned from red meat 6days a week for the next 3 months. Not too much of a hardship as I eat mostly chicken anyway even in my chili.

Another tutoring night for me, so I'll eat some cereal (ACT is on Saturday so my evening tutoring should slow down soon) DH can have left over soup from last night. Want to hear a cute story from work? I've been desperately trying to get the kids to return overdue books and not having much luck. The kids check out books on a designated workstation and I loaded two sounds clips on it. When they scan their library card they hear Santa's HO-HO-HO if they have no late books. If they have overdue books, they hear a Grinchy voice say Bah Humbug. You should see their faces! They were dashing back to their classrooms to find those late books just so they could hear HO-HO-HO at check out. I got back a ton of overdue books today and smiled all day. Happy Anniversary to JoP!
