I’d love to know where you found the glass top watch boxes that hold 24 😊 watches please Walmart ! It was an independent seller on the Walmart site. There was quite a few people selling them on Walmart but “watch” the pricing. They were selling for anywhere from $22 - $60 and they looked like the same exact box. Thank you 😀

working in the spare/junk room. (Have an over night guest coming) decluttering and cleaning..... probably not much organizing as most of the stuff will end up in the basement (which is a DISASTER). Also going through my closet (and hopefully DD will donhers) charity PU scheduled for Monday

Small clean out this week - a two tiered vegetable steamer (love it, works great, too big, too hard to get out of storage just to steam broccoli) and a bag of odds and ends. I left these items for the cleaning people. If they don't take, I'll immediately take them to the thrift store.

Went through the kid DVDs and put discs in the correct cases. Took out ten that will go in the kids consignment sale.
While going through the cabinet I found a bunch of old work stuff no longer needed so I pulled out the unused legal pads and sticky note pads, emptied the binders, and threw the files and papers away.

But I worry that as soon as I get rid of something, I will need the same exact thing. So I am trying to overcome that thought process. I conquered that by asking myself two questions. 1) Can this be replaced easily down the road if I ever need it again? 2) Is that replacement a cost I can afford? In the case of empty craft storage containers, the answer for me would be yes to both questions. As a result of that quick quiz they would be donated. I am convinced! I have six flat floss boxes, two acrylic totes, and few tool organizers that weren't what I was expecting in the donation pile. Also a 3" pile of craft felt, a handful of table frames, and a bag of washi tape.

My first pist to this thread.
I finally picked up Marie Kondo’s books from the library. Read the first one. Decided to put it to use on the stationary we have on the weekend. It was a success. I had no idea I was running staples store inside my house .lolol. Two garbage bags of recycling, one garbage bag full of junk to trash and a garbage bag full of stuff to donate.
Then yesterday was my shoes. Two bags full of shoes went to goodwill.
Today I pulled cleaning supplies from every nook and corner of the house and purged and organized .
Planning to tackle my closet tonight.

Yay to everyone's progress and successes!!
Tonight I'm working in my office. I have emptied several small containers (think iPhone box size) of random stuff. Things that you don't know what they're for, what they belong to, or what to do with them but don't want to throw out just in case. Well, those boxes have been sitting around for several years now and I decided if I haven't needed something that I would go looking in those boxes for them, I probably didn't need them. I threw away a lot of stuff and there's some other things that can be put in their homes (i.e. paper clips, magnets, etc.) It feels good to have those little boxes empty! They honestly don't take up a lot of room but it's just the idea of having things without homes around that I'm working on getting rid of.
Keep it up!

I've purged at work, too. I've scanned a ton of stuff and tossed the originals. It feels so good to have empty drawers.

Thanks for the link to the Bowl Full of Lemons challenge. I've been loosely following that just to purge (not so much for deep cleaning). It's what I've normally been doing for the last however long, but I'm matching my zones to theirs just to follow along. I've gone around my kitchen and pantry 100%, gotten rid of lots of unused things, and organized things so much better. So many people commenting there -- I've gotten some great ideas for organizing.
This week is the dining room. My dining room is already in really good shape. I bought some cloth that you store silver in, and I'm going to make some bags for my silver/silver plate items that I don't have out. That way it won't get dusty and tarnished as badly. So my dining room week is really "get out the sewing machine and figure out how to use it again" week. Also my dining room table tends to collect the stuff that I don't know what to do with, or the stuff that I have plans for but no time to deal with. It's not too bad right now, but I'll deal with all that this week.
Happy decluttering everybody!!!

Yesterday I organized all the little bags and boxes of nails, screws, and nuts into carrying cases. So now instead of going in to the garage and looking through all the small drawers we can just carry the case to where we are working and pick the right one. We now have one for hanging things around the house, screws, and nails/washers/nuts. Also put all of the zips ties into a flat tackle box. This morning I went through my youngest daughter's dresser and pulled out the small sizes jammies and pants for the mom to mom sale. I have at least 7 diaper boxes of clothes to go through and get ready in the next month. I also need to contact a local vet and see if they are interested in stuffed animals. Every spring they have a tent at a festival where kids can pick one out and the vets check them out and treat them for injuries.

This weekend's "one thing" is done. I reorganized and tossed stuff away from the drawers in the ensuite bathroom. I have had 2 subscription boxes all year, plus a couple of others for a couple of months, and had a bunch of stuff that I tried but didn't like. All purged now.

Anyone here have a collection of condiment packs from various restaurants? How do you organize those? Would something like these organizers work? I have organized all my drawers with this brand and really like them. You can get them at Container Store as linked, or Bed, Bath & Beyond. Question 3) Is keeping it worth the physical space and the mental weight of knowing it's there and a decision you still feel like you have to make? Another thing to consider: is technology/innovation likely to improve for this item in the near future? I'm discovering I've hung on to so many items that are now obsolete (technology) or have better options available (storage bins).

Anyone here have a collection of condiment packs from various restaurants? How do you organize those? When we kept them, it was just in a small basket in one of our kitchen drawers. For us, it was not something that was worth the time to organize any further, no benefit to gain from it. But, we didn't keep much in terms of selection or sheer quantity. I find, especially with DH, that some things can be over organized and he isn't as likely to keep it up.

OK I'm back from out of town. I bought DS some much-needed socks while we were away, so my goal today is to get rid of the same number of crappy socks so he's not accumulating clothing. That shouldn't be too hard -- I'm just waiting for the last load of laundry to finish so I can cull them all at once and save pairs for the donation pile.
So far today I made a little progress in my bedroom, but it was mostly cleaning and putting things away (not purging). I did get rid of about 1000 dust bunnies but I'm not putting that toward my total! Still on track for 2020 in 2018, yippee!

Worked on another shelf in the sewing room. I keep all my ribbons, notions, etc. in those Container Store shoe boxes and had ended up with 17 of them, all full to the brim. Went through each one and pulled out so much stuff to add to the garage sale pile. When I was done, I had emptied 5 boxes. The boxes will go to DD to help organize her closet. Now I am down to 12 boxes, and most of it is stuff that I will actually use. Ultimately I'd like to take that down to 9 boxes maximum, as 3 boxes across x 3 boxes high fits one shelf perfectly. Will definitely be revisiting that shelf later on. I also went through my file box that holds all the warranties/receipts/instruction books and tossed a few things we no longer need. Then I filed all the new ones from Christmas. In the front bath, I cleaned out a drawer and eliminated 2 of the old organizer bins. Those went in the donation bag. Yesterday afternoon I was out doing errands and grocery shopping. I wore a really cute pair of suede driving loafers I've had for years. Before I got home my right heel was hurting. I also kept having to take the left shoe off and put the innersole back in place. When I figured out how old the shoes were, I realized they were 9 years old! Obviously all the support I need is gone, so no point in dealing with the other issue. As soon as I unloaded the car, I took the shoes off and put them in the donation bag immediately.

I went through my bathroom drawers, cabinets and makeup. I got rid of quite a bit. Not everything, but since I am usually someone who will hold on to stuff just in case...this was progress.

My husband will look for a hot sauce one, and the other day I used a Mayo packet on the sandwich I had in my lunch bag (I had a Mayo one in there just in case, and it came in handy.).

As we (finally) put away Christmas decorations, we labeled all the boxes with new labels on the top and two sides. We got rid of a few things, but mainly we did a great job of organizing the things we used this year. It isn't a great purge, but it's keeping things in their places and ready to go when we need them next.
Now, I can start on the true purging and reorganizing!

Such good quality, and they've kept them practically the same for ages so when you need to add to your collection everything still stacks well. Plus, they have lots of good sizes that also stack well with each other. We use them in every room of the house. When it's no longer needed in one location it's sure to come in handy in another spot soon.

Still going hard core in my craft room. Managed to get through some bins of craft stuff that have been sitting in the garage since we moved. Unpacked them and put everything up in the correct place. Now have three empty bins to put in the crawl space until needed. Last night I quickly went through my books and pulled out eight I haven't read in YEARS. And then I went through my Southern Living/Cooking Light annual recipe books. I glanced through them and if I saw a recipe I was interested in, I looked for it online and pinned it. I now have six of those ready to be donated, four more to go through. And with that I cleared a shelf for my pictures. The best part about this project is that I already feel more productive. I finished a project I've been putting off for a couple of months. And it only took half an hour.

I've been doing a pretty good job of purging. My hang up was the pile of things that were in good shape and expensive that I kept thinking I should sell. I was reading the thrifting thread, when it all became clear to me. I hate the process of listing things for sale and dealing with the odd people. The people that thrift, love scoring something pricey at the thrift store. It's my win-win. Now I can just drop off the lot of it and be done and guilt free whilst hoping a pea might score that beautiful set of crystal I was gifted years ago, but never used.

So I purged my closet. I cannot sell any of my clothes because I always remove garment tags before I wear them. They annoy me/some give me rash and I hate tags rubbing on my skin.
I can donate them to goodwill but I don’t think they will ise them either since no tags. Am I to just throw them or shoild I try a garage sale? Any other place that will take them and put to good use?
